Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Returning Pokémon

Like Pokémon Sword and Shield and the games that have followed, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will not have all Pokémon species available to capture and use. This page catalogues the Pokémon from past generations which are confirmed to appear in the two games. We’ll try to keep it as up-to-date as possible as more trailers and screenshots are released prior to the games’ official release!

Past Pokémon returning in Scarlet & Violet

Listed by “National Dex” number. If one Pokémon is seen from an evolutionary line, it is assumed all others will be available as well. Finally, inclusion in this list doesn’t mean a Pokémon won’t necessarily have a new evolution or form.
