How to obtain version-exclusive Pokémon from the opposite game version
There are two primary methods of getting a Pokémon that is exclusive to the opposite game version you have:
- Trade Pokémon with a player who has the opposite game version as you. This can be done online and organized through friends, over social media or arranged through Discord.
- Bring the Pokémon to Scarlet or Violet from a past game through the use of Pokémon HOME. As long as you own a game in which you can catch the Pokémon and can transfer it to HOME, sometimes through the use of Pokémon Bank, you won’t need another person to obtain the version-exclusive Pokémon.
