Do you have to finish Pokémon Scarlet and Violet to start The Teal Mask?
No, you don’t have to finish the main story of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet in order to start The Teal Mask, the first part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. What is required is that you start the Treasure Hunt at your game’s Academy. This point in the game shouldn’t take more than three hours to reach.
This is different than part two of the DLC, The Indigo Disk, which will require completion of both the Scarlet or Violet main storyline and completion of The Teal Mask main story.
Why isn’t day and night changing in The Teal Mask?
During completion of the story in The Teal Mask the day and night cycle will be locked at certain points. If you are looking to hunt specific Pokémon that only appear at night, it is best to complete the main story, since the majority of the story will take place during the day.
Why can’t I complete the Kitakami Ogre Clan quest?
Trying to defeat all the Kitakami Ogre Clan members but they keep resetting and you’ll be told you still have members to defeat? Unfortunately, this seems to be a bug and no good workarounds have been found thus far. It is likely an issue that will be patched in a future update.
