Name change and logo
Already announced in the contest write-up, PJNM will be shortened to PJM. We also have a (temporary) logo featuring Chespin from our in-house artist moving. From now on, Chespin will be the mascot for the magazine, like Sewaddle is for the site.
Tentative release date
We’re still aiming for a mid-February release date. The deadline for all the content is at the end of December, after which we can start putting everything together using Digital Publishing Software. We’ll be using Scribus, since it is open-source but a still relatively strong DSP.

If you want to hit us up with something, you can do so through [email protected]. This is also the place if you’ve got any concerns, complaints, or crazy ideas. We’ll normally get back to you in one day, and we even reply faster on weekends too!
Content announcement
For this week we’ll reveal the staff-focused section. The first few pages will include a page with a picture of every staff member along with a short bio, a poll among the whole staff and two interviews featuring the man behind the site himself and Daedardus! If there is something you really want to know about those two staff members, you can ask so through the email provided earlier.
We have to admit news is calm at the moment, but we’re exploring options to make things more interesting. More on that later. See you next time!

There’s not enough evidence to prove that Hoenn will be remade. I mean, this speculation is getting ridiculous, once someone shows me actual evidence proven somewhere in the game where people allude to the Hoenn region, then I’ll believe you.

Granted, Nintendo likes money, and remakes make a lot of money…I’d be really surprised if we didn’t get one. I have a feeling though it won’t be until between 6th and 7th gen though. They still have this gen to milk.

it states that 14 berries are unavailable to get in XY. And are only available of obtaining from “other regions”, said PLURALLY, with an S. REGIONS!!!! You CANNOT transfer items with Pokemon Bank on dec 29th so this passage IMPLIES that their will be more than 1 new region coming. Hoenn region, and a new region.
Also, in lumiose city museum, their is a painting of every single region except a painting of the hoenn region. The only paining of the hoenn region is oddly of “Mr. Briney and the infamous Wingull named Peeko”, makes you think huh?
Also, find it odd how the passage is on 386 and the total number of pokemon after gen 3 was 386?
That brought up my love for Mr. Briney and Peeko. I loved those two so much for some reason. Made me think of when my grandpa would take me out on the lake and those times of fishing. If it turns out that he passed before the games take place…I KNOW I will cry…but, if he has…Rest In Peace, Captain!

Fire/Ground plz. With Flame Body.
Fire/Ground works, but what if instead of getting Flame Body, it gets a new ability that turns Normal type moves into Ground type moves! I call it…Ground Control! The reason why it should get this ability, is because it’s a Special Attacker, but can’t learn Special Ground type moves. However, Ground Control would fix that problem!

haha yeah. I just figured since Brendan is moving to Littleroot Town from Johto, it’ll be sweet if we start of a Hoenn remake/update with a Johto starter and default brendan outfit, then pick our Hoenn starter in Jubilife City and be able to customize clothes later.
Steven Stone can also play a part in discovering new mega stones in hoenn and give you a Metagrossnite after you defeat him in battle or something
I’ve been confused on how they discovered Mega Stones. One NPC said it was made 3000 years ago, and one says it was made by Riley.
ive been confused on why we get to start off our kalos journey with a hoenn pokemon that gets a mega (and make the other 2 hoenn starters unavailable). extremely odd and confusing.
Because Blazikan is more popular than Swampert and Sceptile. The same reason goes for why Charizard got 2 megas while Blastoise and Venusaur didn’t.
I’m fine with Charizard with having to megas. It represents the two types Charizard could have had…
I think the two charizard mega’s was a way of giving charizard a fire/dragon type without upsetting too many people that would have liked its mega to remain fire/flying.

Yeah, that does work, but who wanted a Psychic/Fighting Mewtwo? Granted it’s cool that Mewtwo can have STAB with Aura Sphere now, but Mega Mewtwo X is a Physical Attacker.
Drain Punch eventually when Pokemon Bank comes out, and Zen Headbutt, it’ll be more viable.

According to Sycamore, Mega Evolution is only accessible in Kalos, but we all know that GF will be bringing back Megas in different regions in newer games. My reaction to archaeologists in the Pokémon universe…Did you not try hard enough to find these stones?
You don’t know how happy i was to see the word “Metagrossnite,” haha. But, in all seriousness, I think that’s a great idea. Have a Johto starter with you at the beginning, get a Hoenn starter next (Megas available of course)…would really be great for those games. Though personally, I’d prefer to have to find Metagross’s Mega Stone. Nothing too terribly hard though of course but maybe Steven leaves a note with a clue to a “Mega Stone hot spot” where you can excavate for them.
