Given that Mega Evolution is “a transformation found only in the Kalos region” and that Gen7 will be based on simplicity, I don’t think we will get any more Mega Evolutions. Maybe in X2Y2/Z but I’m keeping my expectations low. If there are more, I think the Eeveelutions would look great with with a little Mega buff. 🙂

Either Masuda or Sugimori, can’t remember who, said on the magazine We Love Pokéon. He mentioned that designs should go back to simplicity as it’s difficult to come up with good Pokémon designs. Also something about not introducing or needing to introduce a very large number of Pokémon.
He also said that fans think they should trim or organize some of the moves and abilities as there are too much to remember all.
Hm… Like Gen 1? I didn’t like those designs. They don’t really seem like Pokemon to me, I don’t know why.
They can easily get rid of a few useless abilities.

no need! I have been testing my team in showdown and it was extremely successfull! I’m gonna finish making it. Oh and Chesnaught is so so so good in OU yet 99% of people use the wrong movepool and EVs!

That’s the problem! They always send out Lucario against someone that it can OHKO without Swords Dance so they force you to switch and then they get a Swords Dance and it’s literally game over!
So instead of switching, it’s almost a matter of outpredicting them. They think you’re gonna switch, so they go for Swords Dance, but instead you stay in and get off a nasty Earthquake or something.
And of course it depends on the circumstances of every given battle, who’s out at the time.
what happens it they send it out one someone that has no move that can OKHO lucario! That’s usually the case!

I have finally got all mega evolutions with the desired natures, EVs and movesets I want (except for MewtwoXY), favourite to use (only on Maison so far) are Gengar, Mawile, Lucario (my fave pokemon obvs) and Bullet Punch Technician Scizor

I reckon you could have finished it earlier if you had stuck with the fairy attack (probably 3-0). Dragonite lived on 1 HP…and that allowed me to gain some momentum back

Pokemon you would recomend for competive and why?
Goodra with gooey. His sp defense is really good so most people would attack him with a physical attack. Then they would get their sipped lowered because of his hidden ability gooey. Also give him a rocky helmet for damage. Same reason being most people will attack him with a physical attack

There are a lot Mega Mawile around and if it doesn’t get knocked out by Goodra, chances are that it will use Play Rough.
Yeah but play rough is a physical move so mawile with lower it’s speed and take some damage making it easier for the next pokemon to take it out like a mega blaziken that you use protect allowing it to speed up from speed boost

How in the world do you get so many shinies with the PokeRadar? It’s so hard to use! Even after a bunch of tutorials I can’t seem to get it right.

Maybe it depends on the patch you use..theres one on route 5 (9×9, purple flowers) that’s pretty easy to chain shinies (got 4 there)…maybe try there first?

ok, im home from work, and its time for today’s “Let your mind Exel!” im exeledus, and heres todays question: What is the worst, most tragic thing to happen to you in a pokemon game? here’s mine, which ive told you guys already before, but lets recap: So, I just figured out the new mechanics to emeralds version of regice’s tomb. after countless failed attempts at catching it, and a game boy advance on the verge of running out of battery life, I deciced to give it one more go. after all, if I didn’t catch it i’d just replace the batteries tomorrow and give it another go. well, to my astonishment, it was shiny! all right, I told myself, no fooling around! time to throw the master ball! I caught it, and raced to save the game, rapidly pressing “A” to get through the text. “Saving, don’t tur—–” my game clicked off. I was DEVESTATED, to say the least! share your tragic story here! afterall, misery loves company!

Actually my most tragic thing was when I started a new game and played for hours on diamond. I got to the 6th gym and tried to save and I already had a save file. Then my game froze. 🙁

Well I never could save anyway. I already had a file. that was when I wanted to delete it but couldn’t figure out how.
oh yeah I remember that ,mechanic. I always thought that was a poor way to go about preventing save file deletion. they could have had like a lot of confirmation questions, with yes’s and no’s. I remember one game did that but I cant remember which… I think it was kid Icarus uprising.

I like to use more unpredictable pokemon to fake out people, here’s the team im currently working on: Furfrou, Dusclops, Gorebyss, Male Meowstic, Spiritomb, and Mega Mawile
looks like your team is very bulky i really wanr to use furfrou one day cottonguard+babydolleyes+fuercoat=no physical damage:D
furfrou is officially the best tank with assault vest (also think of the possibilities with skill swap)

barbaracle is really good, it gets a really good ability in tough claws with a really good offensive movepool to compliment it, and it also gets shell smash, one of the arguably best stat boosting moves
the problem is that Razor Shell, Stone Edge and Cross Chop has poor accuracy….one miss and they OKHO you

That’s essentially the problem! You can use Hone Claws though…..but no speed means you are easy prey

One criticism I have for x and y was how it was kind of hard to find a lot of the new pokemon IMO.

my big problem with x and y is how the evil team’s story arc goes, don’t get me wrong, team flare are arguably the evilest motherfuckers yet, but lysandre being part of team flare wasn’t exactly the biggest plot twist (especially since how explicit he was) plus I really didn’t like how team flare was defeated before even beating the 8th gym and it felt like it was so easily resolved, although lysandre killing himself was pretty unexpected, usually they just pull off the whole “they vanished into obscurity schtick”
I wish there was more encounters with team flare -_-

1. Mega Mawile (words cannot describe how elated I was at this news, finally one of my favorite pokemon will be good in competitive play, and wouldn’t you know, SHE’S A FORCE TO BE FUCKING RECKONED WITH)
2. Mega Banette (same schtick with Mawile but it didn’t get as good as mawile did, still, priority destiny bond)
3. Mega Absol (this pokemon was my goddamn childhood, won me pokemon contests, was the first to reach lv 100, reason why its number 3? the whole emo audience that almost fucking ruined my love for this pokemon, luckily I learned to not let others affect my opinion on things, except in the case of goomy that is)
To be honest I actually like Mega Chaizard Y more than X. He’s way more deadly if played right!
drought helps it pretty much OHKO anything that doesn’t resist fire special attacks, as cooler of a design X is, Y is superior in power
I actually like Y’s design more! He look’s bigger because of those wings. I don’t like the shape of X’s wings. And it looks smaller for some reason! I don’t know maybe it’s just me!
I do like its more jagged look, but I like how X’s flames are blue because in actuality, blue flames are actually much hotter than regular orange and red flames

Last time they did this was with the Eeveelution question. It asked how many POSSIBLE evolution types could Eevee have. Lo and behold we got the Fairy- type and Sylveon. Could it mean they are hinting at the R/S/E by the means of questions like they did with the Eeveelution question?

I liked it because they were still the original voice actors….I stopped watching when the voice actors were replaced!
The beginning of battle frontier, that is where i stopped as well.
They had the same voice actors for 3 seasons( not including Johto and Kanto), then they randomly change it, i couldn’t get use to it until Sinnoh.
I never got used to it :(….I dislike brock’s new voice so much!
I hated May’s, Max’s, Ash’s, Brock’s… just all of them had a drastic change

I hope the new soundtracks are refurbished tunes from the old games. I would feel ripped off if I bought them and they had crappy MIDIs like in Gen 5. I feel as if Gen three had better music quality. They just have a chance to make Colress’ theme so much more epic.

As I was trying to hit the ball in a volleyball-style game, the ball unfortunately missed my entire hand and hit the weakest link- my pinkie finger, unable to provide enough force to make the ball past the designated side. Due to too much pressure applied on my pinkie, I can no longer close my left hand or move my pinkie as freely as I can do with my right hand. 🙁

whenever I try to catch a pokemon, shiny or not, i’ll always use a quickball first turn. also, just a pointer for future shiny hunting, aegislash is a very good pokemon. it nullifies final gambit and most recoil moves, and can learn false swipe 😀

im in the maison, I don’t think amie effects activate in there, and do they negatively effect you? that’d suck, if you didn’t play with the pokemon and it starts missing its attacks and ignoring you
No negative effects as far as I know. The AI cheats in there so maybe that is the problem?

In the regular challenges, you get an boost every 10 wins. The Supers start with 2 BP and increase by 1 every 10 straight wins

The beginning ones gives you 1 BP for battles 1-10, 2 BP for 11 – 19, and 20 if you beat the Battle Head. After that, the Super of that mode is unlocked and you go for 50 wins and start at 2 BP per battle

I’m Christian myself, however I’ve found that a lot of “Christians” I’ve met are hypocrites that use their beliefs to judge other people themselves. Religion really has gone to crap. It used as an excuse in some cases.
I’m one of the most controversial people being gay and Christian and I can’t even come out down where I live because I’m not accepted in society by most.
I feel really bad for folks like you that can’t be themselves because of others, not to insult you in anyway, but I really do consider Christian and gay as oxymorons considering how many times homosexuality is condemned in the bible, then again a lot of crazy bullshit is condemned in the bible like eating pork or wearing clothes of two different fabrics
Actually, if read thoroughly, it’s not condemned for the act itself. It’s the way the acts were presented. Usually with pagan practices and false gods; Romans and such. The Bible seems to contradict itself a lot because of specific verses. I’ve thoroughly studied a lot of these passages for when I do come out…
yeah, condemnation of homosexuality was pretty ambiguous in the bible, thats one of my biggest complaints with it, if god was omnipotent, omnipresent and all-knowing, then wouldn’t he make sure his texts weren’t so lost in translation and taken out of context, if he was all-knowing, wouldn’t he realize being so broad in his passages would lead to disagreement and distress, it just sorta falls in on itself for me
I’m not the only one who thinks it’s been lost in translation… Good. So many different version of the book go around, I’ve come to the conclusion that no one TRULY knows what it says anymore. And with so many denominations out there, it’s obvious that none of them follow it completely. They either add to it or take what they want from it. It’s become one big head ache for the community as a whole. I claim nondenomination because of most churches being against gays. You have to wonder why they would be against a certain group of people instead of the ones with tattoos and piercings when that’s also in the bible. It’s insane now and I’ve gotten to the point I don’t even enjoy going to church because we are always being begged for money.

It’s a majority of old people… None of this money is going towards charity or anything. No, it was Sandstorm damage after I thought you’d switch to Tyranitar, so I used Roost, but that took away my Flying type, and Hammer Arm got me to Red damage, and Sandstorm took her out 😉

You should never feel bad! You need to see some of my bad matches…..like I got 6-0 ed. But I tried to learn from my mistakes. But did you see a bit of my strategy? A bit different right? I focus more on defense than offense xD
And my offensive oriented Pokemon can’t even do anything to the defense oriented. I mean, Espeon got off 2 Calm Minds in that first battle, and it did practically nothing to Tyranitar with Dazzling Gleam =/
I’ll give you a tip: Use Saikou a bit more for it’s ability. The only
reason I never used spikes with Chesnaught or Tyrantitar in the
beginning was because I was trying to see how you would think before laying hazards. As you could have easily bounced them back and I have no rapid spinner. I had to pay close attention to your Saikou….then I used stealth rock late game.
And I was so close to switching into Saikou when you Had Tyranitar out against Lapras. But then I remembered Pursuit, so Saikou would be a goner. Then I had Mega Mawile against Arcanine, and I didn’t know if you’d try for the Burn again or Switch out. I was gonna switch to Talonflame to eat up the Burn, but then I thought that wouldn’t really help at all, Extreme Speed would probably knock me out anyways next turn.
With Saikou….play more riskily but not too risky. Tyrantar’s biggest threat believe it or not is chesnaught as it resists everyting. Oh my team’s biggest weakness is pure stall with toxic/toxic spikes xD. My team is strong against offensive teams.
Well I definitely know your team is strong against offensive teams xD And that’s why I’ll never beat you 😛 I love my Pokemon and don’t want to train others just to try and beat you 🙂
You don’t need to change your team xD Just add a few sneaky moves in there that my team hates….for example give Chesnaught toxic or Lapras Rest xD

I’m considering giving Chestnut Weakness Policy. It has the bulk to survive a Super Effective hit, and might be able to hopefully open up a can of whoop ass on that one Pokemon. If only it had a priority move.
Hmmm….I haven’t tried that before. I was thinking something like Red Card, but that needs some spikes or stealth rock support.
What does Red Card do?
If a pokemon attacks you it is automatically removed from the battle and swapped by another pokemon. Basically like roar!
The attacking Pokemon is removed from battle? Or you’re removed from battle? Or is that Eject Button?
Attacking pokemon, but it’s one time. You could also try eject button as you could safely bring in something that theatens the opponent!
eject button is extremly good for hyper offensive teams that have pokemon with riduculously high attack but terrible defenses so they are tough to switch-in
Hmm. One last question. Well two, actually. How exactly does Encore work? Do it only work on the move the Pokemon used beforehand? Or whatever move the Pokemon is about to use, it’ll have to keep using that move? Same thing with Taunt, what if they’re using a status move that turn, but before they did, you used Taunt. Do they then become incapable of using the status move that turn? Or do they still get it off and the Taunt is applied next turn?
And what moveset would you recommend for a Garchomp? I’m thinking Dragon Rush (No Outrage yet until Tutors, and I don’t wanna breed), Earthquake, Fire Fang, and Poison Jab, with the Choice Band.
Encore works on the move the pokemon used before encore is used. It lasts 3 turns. Taunt prevents any status move from being used for 3 turns. If you use it right before your opponent then their status move is prevented and for 3 more turns.
Hmmm Garchomp. I personally like Substitute Dragon Claw/Outrage Earthquake Swords Dance. And just have the rest of you team handle togekiss. Life orb also works but with Poison Jab instead of Substitute.

Only one parent has to be a foreigner. Breeding those two evees should work with Masuda Method. Good luck with the shiny!

So I’m slow about this, but Project Pokemon said they found the shiny rate (like a week or so ago xD I just found out while trying to look up guides on how to chain…which the radar is a load of crap).
“..After investigation with the new Pokemon file format and how shininess is determined, some new stuff was recently discovered.
Basically, the base shiny rate is now doubled, or 1/4096. This is the rate that applies to random encounters and hatching normal eggs. This means that Masuda Method now has a roughly 1/683 chance of yielding a shiny.
The rates for fish chaining and Friend Safari are still unknown, but this basically means that if you’ve thought shinies were more common in general, they are.”

With my luck, I’ll still get the shiny only on the 683rd egg. Which is why I will never Masuda Method. I might try Pokeradar chaining or Chain fishing this Gen, though.
Radar chaining is really stupid, IMO. It takes a lot of patience and attention and the game still goes out of its way to break your chain. If you are patient it’s better for you, but if you aren’t like me…xD

I have caught a shiny koffing (Gen 2), Nidorino (Gen 3 safari zone), and a few more that I cannot remember. And I found a shiny Azelf, but I did not use the Master Ball. And it slaughtered my team.
And I cried for three hours.
For friend safari, it sure feels like doubled shiny rates. I hatched over 1,200 eggs and only found one shiny!
