Welcome to the second edition of PJM Newsroom! Let us immediately go to the first announcement of today!

Submissions for contest still open

Know you can still submit your bio and short story for the PJM contest! For details visit >>>HERE<<<. You still have plenty of time left but don’t wait too long because I neeeed submissions!

Name change and logo

Already announced in the contest write-up, PJNM will be shortened to PJM. We also have a (temporary) logo featuring Chespin from our in-house artist moving. From now on, Chespin will be the mascot for the magazine, like Sewaddle is for the site.

Tentative release date

We’re still aiming for a mid-February release date. The deadline for all the content is at the end of December, after which we can start putting everything together using Digital Publishing Software. We’ll be using Scribus, since it is open-source but a still relatively strong DSP.

Content announcement

For this week we’ll reveal the staff-focused section. The first few pages will include a page with a picture of every staff member along with a short bio, a poll among the whole staff and two interviews featuring the man behind the site himself and Daedardus! If there is something you really want to know about those two staff members, you can ask so through the email provided earlier.

 

We have to admit news is calm at the moment, but we’re exploring options to make things more interesting. More on that later. See you next time!

  13. I think the next games or ones coming up this generation are going to have Pokemon follow you. I think that they were testing out how it would look on the 3DS with Skiddo, Mamoswine, Lapras, etc.

    For example, when the games were first introduced to the DS, Amity Square allowed you to walk/lead your Pokemon which means they were most likely testing out the new system to see how well it would work for HG/SS. I think walking with Pokemon is going to come back this generation.

  19. Ok. What is the new Shiny Encounter Rate? Cuz it seems so low, it’s not even funny. I heard that it decreased to 1/4000. Some say it’s actually 1/1000. What is it really?

  21. Okay in my article I think i pointed out some hidden stuff that Marriland didn’t. Which by the way I loved his video. This is my article that supports why there will be a completely new region with more new pokemon (a handful or so).

    So I decided to fly to Couriway Town and happened to read the description carefully. “Brings people from great distances to see the falls”

    There is a train station that begins in lumiose but rides to the most eastern part of Kalos and beyond – which supports the next game most likely being able to click between two maps, Kalos, and its “neighboring region” just like how Johto/Kanto was.

    now I decided to walk around Couriway Town to see if any NPC’s can hint towards the next region. And what do you know. Marriland talked about the backwards waterfall as seen in this picture below:

    and he talked about how the npc mentions “this world” and NOT the distortion world which also has a backwards waterfall. but in the SAME TOWN i gathered proof that the waterfall is INDEED not the distortion world as people have though, heres the next pic:

    she says she really loves the story of how a magikarp climbed a waterfall. How can a derpy fish climb a waterfall?? Easy. A backwards waterfall. **raises hands to arceus**

    If you also read the town sign of Couriway town, it says “a town connecting differences” – to the east of this town is most likely the neighboring region that so many NPC’s in the game tell u about had a war with kalos years ago. And then theres also the NPC that talked about “you have to see my region” and proceeded to say how it wasnt any of the previous regions.

    Now on the new pokemon bit – people seem to think that just because Volcanion and the other 2 were discovered/coded into the game that there isn’t more new pokemon coming. 3DS is capable of DLC, updates of any nature – this is going to be a continuing generation until the 4DS or whatever it may be comes. There is only about 69 new pokemon this gen I believe, and I have a gut feeling there is another 50 or so thats not coded in to the game yet simply because…

    in the garden of Parfum Palace – their are 4 mazes. Each maze is the face of a pokemon. Pyroar, Chandelure, Solrock, and the face of a completely new pokemon. Many people think that if you bring all 4 here it’ll activate some kind of event between the reshiram/zekrom statues or something. And then also further proof of more new pokemon coming is the Strange Souvenir item which the description flat out tells you it DEPICTS a pokemon from a faraway region. I’ve read many people say the item looks like a faceless man or a ghost. Now this is coincidental… because during the main storyline of XY, you and your 5 friends venture into a strange house where an old man tells you a scary story about how a horde of faceless men attacked him faraway before. The keyword in his story is HORDE. Horde is a new mechanic introduced this time, and they emphasized the word in the story. I believe the strange souvenir depicts a scary pokemon that will appear in hordes in the next region 🙂 sorry if this was too long lol
