Name change and logo
Already announced in the contest write-up, PJNM will be shortened to PJM. We also have a (temporary) logo featuring Chespin from our in-house artist moving. From now on, Chespin will be the mascot for the magazine, like Sewaddle is for the site.
Tentative release date
We’re still aiming for a mid-February release date. The deadline for all the content is at the end of December, after which we can start putting everything together using Digital Publishing Software. We’ll be using Scribus, since it is open-source but a still relatively strong DSP.

If you want to hit us up with something, you can do so through [email protected]. This is also the place if you’ve got any concerns, complaints, or crazy ideas. We’ll normally get back to you in one day, and we even reply faster on weekends too!
Content announcement
For this week we’ll reveal the staff-focused section. The first few pages will include a page with a picture of every staff member along with a short bio, a poll among the whole staff and two interviews featuring the man behind the site himself and Daedardus! If there is something you really want to know about those two staff members, you can ask so through the email provided earlier.
We have to admit news is calm at the moment, but we’re exploring options to make things more interesting. More on that later. See you next time!

remember that talonflame special defense is not great and aurorus got a decent special attack plus if i remeber correctly i killed robin with a ancient power in one of the multibattle we have last weekend but i will give credit robin waas the reason i won at least one multibattle when i team with you 🙂

Crobat to lead, defensive wall in Ferrothorn, sp defensive AND attacking powerhouse in Sylveon, physical sweeper in mega gyrados, special sweeper in dragonite, and heliolisk for it’s versatility and ghost immunity. Do you want a Physical or Special attacker?
Special preferably but really either would work. I can find uses for either one.
Personally, I have a Physical Greninja with the Hard Rock item. I run Water Shuriken for priority, Smack Down for flying and such, U-turn to get out of a jam, and Grass Knot to deal with Water types.
Special Greninja is a bit tougher because it has very restricted moves when it comes to Special. A lot of ones I see run Ice Beam, Hydro Pump/Surf, Extrasensory, and then Grass Knot or whatever move you want to put in
I’ll keep those in mind then. I may just have one of each and test them both. thanks.

True, and can you think of any…challenges to having a mostly special oriented team with a wall? (i plan on using my Blissey once the PokeBank starts up)
Well, depends on who you have and their movesets, but I know people don’t like to give out their team. Off the top of my head, if you mainly only use Special attacks, a Goodra with an Assault Vest (Boosts Special Defense, but you can’t use status moves) could really be a challenge. Goodra can have over 600 Sp Def with it equipped
Alright, I’ll remember that haha. Though I do know I want at least one or two for physical, anything you’d recommend?
Common Physical attackers are Aegislash, Garchomp, Excadrill, Scizor, Blaziken, Dragonite, Azumarill, and Talonflame. Again, all depends on how it will fit into your team
