RUMOR: Images Show Final Froakie, Chespin Evolutions & New Pokémon

These are not necessarily real images, their authenticity has not been established. Please do NOT treat this as a news post, instead enjoy commenting & speculating. We will update you if any details come out to (dis)prove any of this.

We’ve marked the main image warning of Pokémon X & Y spoilers so we won’t be hiding images in these posts.

The pictures above purport to be from a review copy of Pokémon X. As you can see, they claim that this is the final evolution of Froakie, Greninja, and a new Flying/Fighting-type Pokémon called Hawlucha. The latter Pokémon also has a new Fighting-type attack called Flying Press.

UPD2: A new image has surfaced claiming to show the final evolution of Chespin from behind. This is from a different person than the person who posted Greninja & Hawlucha. UPD: Confirmed fake

The poster also mentioned that XP is also much easier to earn and that entire parties will get some from battles with the use of EXP Share, a key item found early in the game. He also mentioned that XY only introduce around 70 new Pokémon. He also said that there barely is any endgame, with you only being able to catch Mewtwo and the Z legendary.

UPD1: A new Pokémon has supposedly been photographed. No other details are currently known. Remember, we do not know if these Pokémon are real or fake, so please don’t consider them as either until they are proven one or the other.

UPD3: We broke the site record for most visits in one day! Also, be wary of all the ‘leaks’ out there, there are so much (blatant) fakes going around that the legit leaks may get lost in it!

Looking forward to reading your comments!

  1. Greninja
    Type: Water/ Fighting or Dark
    Male Gender
    Caught with Pokeball
    Level:66
    Held Item: Mystic Water

    Hawlucha
    Type: Flying/ Fighting
    Male Gender
    Caught with Great Ball
    Level:63
    Held Item: Expert Belt

Greninja does look real but its Bubbles have
Dis-appeared and this kind of reminds me of
Snivy’s Evolution lane because Snivy and Servine
both have feet and why doesn’t Serperior.

Binacle is freaking me out but it looks like a Pokemon
You would find using Dive and it would be like Foongus
and have an encounter many times in one spot

The photo of the trainer going into a Wierd Rock area
it looks kind of wierd but it is an area on the Kalos
    Map.

  2. On Hawlucha Status Screen. I kind of find it weird that it is not the same model as in the PokeDex. The Status Screen, Battle, and PokeDex all seemed to have the same 3D Model. Yet, I don’t if you can change the angle you look at the Pokemon! I really can’t say much at this point!

  3. Hawlucha and Greninja have both amazing designs, much more real, fluid and powerful than most of fans would’ve struggle to imagine. I can’t stand free hate. It blinds even the most sane judge. In any case, while the other pokemon it’s a bit odd, has a lot of personality. I really hope they’re real; if not, those are some original and fantastic fakes.

    • Can you stop posting so much. You’re making Disqus freak out.

I wouldn’t say a frog with a tongue wrapped around its neck and a mexican hawk are incredibly original but whatever. Not many are hating but they do look fake.

  4. Nothing exciting right now. I’m going to go work out and I’ll check back later after I get back to my dorm. Let’s hope for some FABULOUS rumors later!

  6. Lmao, I love what Joe (Creator of Serebii) just Tweeted. “Nothing like a relaxing Sunday evening.” So much sarcasm in that post because of Poke fans all over the Internet freaking out over these pics xD

  7. My reasons for thinking that some of this is fake, which is pure speculation:

    1. According to Pokebeach that new Pokemon Binacle is number #21 in the Kalos dex, and is in the Coastal Dex. That just makes no sense to me, because of where we know you start in the region… Why would a coastal Pokemon be found so early on that it is #21 in the dex? We already know that the starts will take up numbers #1 – #12… which only leaves eight more slots for Pokemon before that one. We also already know that Fletchling, Scatterbug, Litleo, Pikachu, and Bunnelby are all found early on… They’ll probably take up numbers well past #21.

    2. That Froakie evolution, while still looks cool… Just seems odd. Pokemon designs, ESPECIALLY the starters, have always had a continuing theme within in their evolution chain. Yes, they don’t have to always look super similar… But why would Froakie’s final evolution all the sudden ditch the overall cloud/bubbles theme to replace it with a long tongue scarf thing when a tongue has not been a theme shown at all in Froakie or Frogadier.

    3. People have already said it, but 70 new Pokemon is just weird… Based off of already revealed Pokemon and assumed evolutions (I’m assuming Helioptle, Clauncher, Skrelp, Swirlix and Spritzee, will have evolutions… Because they don’t seem complete to me.) There are around 56 Pokemon we already know about by proxy, so there’s only going to by 14 more new Pokemon? Probably at least three of those will be a legendary trio… So really that only leaves 11 new Pokemon, and if the above two are real that leaves 9. All of this is purely assumption, but I just don’t think Gamefreak would have revealed so many new Pokemon before the games release if 70 new ones were the case. (Not to mention there are types they haven’t even shown new Pokemon for yet!)

  8. Greninja looks like this because its animation shows him licking of his bubbles with his tongue. His normal sprite would show him with his tongue retreated.
    Case solved.
