The pictures above purport to be from a review copy of Pokémon X. As you can see, they claim that this is the final evolution of Froakie, Greninja, and a new Flying/Fighting-type Pokémon called Hawlucha. The latter Pokémon also has a new Fighting-type attack called Flying Press.
UPD2: A new image has surfaced claiming to show the final evolution of Chespin from behind. This is from a different person than the person who posted Greninja & Hawlucha. UPD: Confirmed fake
The poster also mentioned that XP is also much easier to earn and that entire parties will get some from battles with the use of EXP Share, a key item found early in the game. He also mentioned that XY only introduce around 70 new Pokémon. He also said that there barely is any endgame, with you only being able to catch Mewtwo and the Z legendary.
UPD1: A new Pokémon has supposedly been photographed. No other details are currently known. Remember, we do not know if these Pokémon are real or fake, so please don’t consider them as either until they are proven one or the other.
UPD3: We broke the site record for most visits in one day! Also, be wary of all the ‘leaks’ out there, there are so much (blatant) fakes going around that the legit leaks may get lost in it!

All this speculation really reminds me of when the final evos were leaked back in BW; People saying how fake it is because of this and that(not that I don’t believe them). I think it’s the same thing here, but we’ll find out soon enough.

Well the final evolutions are strictly not allowed to be revealed, as Nintendo stated. And then two days later Froakie’s final evolution is shown? Yeah okay…
Right, because a “strict” embargo is really going to stop someone who’s willing to take the risk.
Nintendo specifically stated not to reveal the starter evolutions. First thing a reviewer does is reveal starter evolutions? I could see little leaks but not specifically the thing Nintendo told them NOT to do.
That’s like saying we have laws, and people won’t break them. C’mon, let’s be realistic.
Being realistic is not assuming a rumor is true because of a few blurry pictures.
I’m not assuming anything. I’m giving my reason for why I think it could be true. That overworld pic is very convincing to me. However, your reason being because they were strictly told not to, just doesn’t hold up as a good reason.
I have other reasons, this was just one reason I was skeptical.
I just don’t see this particular reason as a reason at all. So they were told not to, and? Well when I was young I was told not to take the cookie from the cookie jar…I still did. It’s human nature, like Sable said.
There are some people who tend to do exactly what they are told NOT to do. That’s human nature.
I would believe it more if it was a video. But a photo is just too easy to fake
A photo of a part of the overworld we’ve never seen before is not easy to fake.

Which gives it more credibility. They can’t use an existing screenshot and edit it because people could easily spot it as fake. This is something we’ve never seen before, no ability to edit old screenshots. It also matches perfect with an area on the map.

Interestingly enough, in regards to that last one the leaker said he would post Chespin’s final evolution once he finished leveling it up a bit more. Of course, everything went viral and he got scared off.

What the hell did this person think would happen?! No, it won’t go viral, no one is that interested.
I dunno. He was posting on the Pokebeach forums. He stopped commenting for a while, guess he was training Quilladin (assuming he’s legit. I think he is). Suddenly everything blew up and he started claiming it was fake, it was photoshopped. Then he edited all his posts and hasn’t been heard from since.
That kind of makes these more believable, if you think about it. If he had faked the screenshots, then attention was all he wanted, and he had nothing to worry about because he wasn’t actually leaking information. If they were real screenshots, though, and they unexpectedly went viral, he might’ve gotten worried that he’d get in trouble for breaking the embargo, which is why he felt the need to backtrack and deny them all.

I don’t know what this is, but it’d be a good model for a pokemon concept I came up with. An electric/poison type that focuses on paralysis and poisoning. I was thinking it’d be flat and kind of have tentacles like this.

Dae’s talk about Greninja, is supported even more by the video of the Torchic Distribution! Torchic was seen doing a little animation on the Status screen! So, Greninja licking it’s bubbles and then retracting its tongue (Also, growing the bubbles back) could all the animation. So, Greninja could be real! All we have is 13 Days to wait! 😉

It’d be cool, but it probably won’t happen this generation, doesn’t seem to really fit the theme (although I’m aware that pokemon don’t always really fit the theme of the generation… it just seems like legendaries are more prone to following patterns.) It could happen though, I suppose! It’d probably be the loch ness monster in that case, since I’m not sure the other two you mentioned are european legends.

I feel like the bubbles are a recurring theme in the froakie family so it seems strange that the final evolution lacks that. However, we’re talking about GameFreak here so everything is possible. I love its design too 🙂 I love the luchador hawk so much and really hope its real! As for the mole thing, It seems like it could be part of the Diglett family…

I know right, it just doesn’t seem apart of Froakie now without it’s bubbles. I’m pretty sure EVERY fanart of froakie final evo has bubbles in it. It’s like getting rid of Fennekin’s ear hair(i guess you could say), but like you pointed out it is GameFreak.

I have never in my life “hated” a pokemon design. Even if i’m not excited or pleased i am in a way accepting …. except that pie worm bird clam THING !!! if that is real i honeslty do not know what i’m going to do… i even love the ice-cream Pokemon in comparison to this!
That “Pie-Worm-Bird-Clam-Thing” will be the stunfisk of the generation. Meaning, they are both original but terrible. ( I don’t think any pokemon is terrible, I’m just saying what part of the community might say).

Yeah, we saw that. I think there are some other moves we’ve seen have their PP change, so it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary. Extrasensory is kind of a powerful move, so 30 PP is actually a LOT for the move.
Chespin’s official vine whip has different PP than usual.
