September Corocoro Leaking! [UPD2]

[UPD2] It seems more leaks are coming any moment, as another leaker has gotten their hands on Corocoro and is uploading some pages. New, clear, and full versions of the scans we’ve seen have now been revealed, though there seems to be more to go.

[UPD1] The PokémonKorea official site has updated with details on a playable demo for XY coming to Korea. In this, they report about the Mega Evolutions. This means that Mega Evolutions are confirmed, and any other information should be taken as real as well.

This month’s issue of Corcoro has begun leaking. With new Pokémon and more! Keep checking back as we update with translations! 

On Mega Evolutions

  • “Mega” Pokemon; These new supercharged versions of their previous ones are NOT traditional evolutions or forms, but happen through a “Mega Evolution” process.
  • Mega evolutions are ONLY accessible  during battle.
  • A “Megastone” seems to be a collective term for the held items used to Mega-evolve each Pokémon. In the case of Blaziken, its Megastone is called “Blazikenite”.
  • One of the gym leaders, Coruni, hold the key to these new Mega-lutions.
  • Mega Pokémon have stat changes: Lucario gets an Attack stat boost, whilst Absol gets a boost to both Attack/Speed.
  • Unknown what the stat changes for other Mega Pokémon are.
  • Mega evolutions seem to awakened temporarily in battle by holding a megastone for some Pokémon.

Getting ‘Mega’ versions are:

  • Blaziken (Fire/Fighting, ability: Speed Boost)
  • Lucario (Steel/Fighting, ability: Adaptability)
  • Ampharos (Electric/DRAGON, ability: Mold Breaker)
  • Mawile (Steel/Fairy, ability:Huge Power)
  • Mewtwo (Psychic, ability: Insomnia)
  • Absol (Dark, ability:Magic Bounce)
  • Not all Pokemon will get Mega versions.

More could be revealed!

New Pokémon, Miscellaneous

  •  Meekuru, a Grass-type Gogoat prevolution has Sap Sipper for ability.
  •  Horubii, a Normal-type rabbit-ish Pokémon, known as the “Digging” Pokémon has a new ability called “Cheek Pouch,” or Pickup.
  • Dedenne, an Electric/Fairy-type Pokémon which is the “Antennae” Pokémon, has a new ability called “Cheek Pouch,” or Pickup.
  • Speed Boost Torchic will be distributed with it’s “Mega Stone”; This Speed Boost Torchic with “Blazikenite” Distribution starts from the release date(October 12th) to January 15th, 2014.
  • Although cut off, what seems to be Super Training is mentioned! As previous leaks have pointed at, completing these games seems to raise Effort Values for the Pokémon that participate.
  • Also mentioned is the Master Tower, which has a connection to Mega Pokémon.

Also confirmed is that next month’s Corocoro is to show even more Mega Evolutions, alongside an updated type chart to show off Fairy-type.

  4. I really hate the idea of ‘mega evolution’ it just doesn’t fit in with pokemon at all! more digimon kind of thing… if this turn out to be true i’m very disappointed

  6. WAIT. Didn’t Pokemon confirm that Mewtwo had a new form. Awakened Mewtwo was its new form. Pokemon never said that Mewtwo will be evolving. It was a form change. Now this scan is truly fake. Also, if you see in the Movie Mewtwo switches its form. So, now this scan is 100% Fake. (This is the same post on JungleTalk, I’m just putting the info here)

    Blaziken Lucario Ampharos and Absol all evolve through an evolution called Mega evolution this is the scoop of the century the Corocoro was talking about and OMG it’s so awesome

  14. as i said in the previous thread: The pictures don’t match up if you look at them… in the pic with the
    gogoat pre evo and the rodent and bunny, you see “mega-absols”‘s
    paws…. but it was in the top section of the page.Plus there is a pic
    of game play that they didn’t show, but why? Yet another reason it is
    fake.

  15. If this is real, that means they can Mega Evolve backwards since in Mewtwo Prologue episode, Mewtwo switches back and forth.

  18. Ugh I hate to say it but this is just plain awful! Messing with starter evos and chucking in random forms is just plain wrong. This is really bad imo why couldn’t they have just gave us that absol and Mawile and Absol evos?! The only thing good about this is the new cute pokemon revealed look awesome but they’re overshadowed by this awful mega rubbish 🙁

  22. Now that I think about it, the creators would never do something as illogical as this. As somebody mentioned below, it was already confirmed that Mewtwo is an Awakened form and it was demonstrated as such in the movie. Giving one of the starters a Megaevolution would also disrupt the continuity of the series. They would have to give Megaevolutions to every single starter to balance it out.

  23. The fact that they called Mewtwo new form a form change before does not mean this scan is certainly fake. Mega-evolution des seem to be somewhere between form change and evolution. I still have my doubts, but we can’t say for sure it’s fake.
