  1. Just got back to Iki Town to challenge Kahuna Hala, but the side quest for the letter delivery was quite bittersweet. I was even looking for a young girl and I finally realized it was the old lady.

  2. So what’s everyone’s strategy going into the totem battle? Do you go for the partner pokemon first when its summoned or just go straight for the totem? I just finished Ilimas and had my grubbin out first. One hit the yungoos before i touched T.Gumshoos and then my Litten learned Double Kick so when Gumshoos got to red health i switched my Litten in and won lol

  3. Just got Flynium Z. I guess that scene was supposed to build Kahili’s character somehow. She is someone who will dance in front of a random stranger on top of a hill. I’m still quite sad that she placed so low on the popularity poll.

    • They flubbed her again. Why no flying trial on ten carret hill? Or like a flying challenge where she loans you toucannon and you race by flying through rings in the sky for the flyinium? Literally anything.

      • Toucannon hot-air balloon thingy where there are 2 that lift you up in a basket, since I doubt you’d fit on a Toucannon for a soar-esque game.

        • I meant more like you just play as Toucannon, so it’s like you’re giving it commands from the ground, but really you’re doing the flying

  5. Whelp I’m an idiot. I mismarked the eggs I was trading over to my UM and ended up trading my A. Sandshrew much earlier than I had planned. I ended up trading my Sandile and Stufful over as well because now my entire plan to slowly introduce them is ruined. So now I have almost my entire team with the exception of a certain totem sized Pokemon all before I even step foot into the battle royal. Oh well I guess this at least means I get to spend more time with the Pokemon before they evolve into their final forms. Otherwise they’d just shoot right up and evolve leaving me with little time to get to know them.

  6. Filing another request for the following Ash Cap Pikachu: Hoenn, Unova, Kalos, Alola. If you have one you want to give away, I’ll trade you something that isn’t a Route 1 Pokémon!

  7. It’s really interesting that Ultra Sun and Moon (and gen 7 in general with Ash Greninja) are turning what was previously anime non-canon into canon, with first acknowledging the Team Rocket and Mewtwo connection and now even going as far as saying the GS Ball exists within the game universe as well.

  8. Well my life atm

Doing my English movie poster for the Crucible, while writing the 100 word essay explaining why. Jamming out to my iPod with all my good tunes and also looking for a new school profile picture (What Pokémon do I want to be? Hmm maybe Tropius or Bibarel or maybe I’ll draw a Pokémon I’ve made)

But yeah this is my life rn, now that I reread it, it sounds sad

  9. This might be a dumb question to ask, but I’m gonna ask it anyway. Do you all think those running Pokémon models are gonna be used in Pokémon Switch? While I would looooove for my Pokémon to follow me, I don’t know how it would work with really big ones haha.

  10. Welp, because I have been busy preparing for tomorrow I am only at 6:00 of playtime. Still have not left the first island and seeing as tomorrow is my interview and I will be with my family after it in a town 4 hours away from home and at my sibling’s college-which means family fun time-I probably won’t be able to play tomorrow. I fear that this will be the first of many trials this break for me-trials that are not as fun as the ones in USUM.

  11. Maybe its just me but i dont see USUM has a huge copy/paste from SM. It definitely integrates the total darkness, URS and their interest in Z-crystal storyline in well with how SM originally was. Plus it makes it longer. If anything was a total copy/paste from its original then look at Emerald. The only difference through the main story was Scott running into you every so often. I havent even reached the grand trial against Hala and my pokemon (torracat, grubbin, rockruff) just turned level 20

    • A couple of added characters that do nothing but talk about bullshit isn’t enough to make the game different

And can we stop acting like USUM is equal to any other third version then it’s 2017 and DLC is a thing

      Reply
          • Literally. And like I feel like a huge hypocrite because I bought them both, but I can’t really trash a game without at least playing it.

            Plus I’m trash

Plus I gotta keep that living dex living.

But y’all better expect a review where I hold nothing back. I have a lot of issues with it so far. Some things I like, some are glaringly bad.

      • It never really felt like DLC to me. I feel it adds enough to not just be “DLC”. Personally, I think these games are great, and not to start an argument or anything, but I’m not seeing what you mean by it being “DLC”.If I haven’t made it clear by now, this is just my opinion. I can’t think of anything else to say.

        • I’m not trying to be mean or anything, but do you realize that if any other major “platformer” game tried to pull off USUM’s amount of addition content aka DLC (which is to say the major differences between SM) for $80 or even $40, it would be ripped apart? It just sucks Gamefreak didn’t go further for the price they asked us to pay for it. Or just make it one version so it was easier to swallow.

          • I do agree that if GF had made USUM into just “Pokémon Stars” then it would have been fine and that putting out two games just like B2W2 should have provided more add-ons like the 2 new gyms, the PWT, and Plasma’s storyline. I think the issue came from the fact that there was a new development team on these while the more advanced team worked on Pokémon Switch. You cant fault a brand new team for keeping USUM almost the same as SM. Personally I feel that the URS storyline is a good enough addition. From what I can gather URS is looking for Necrozma and finding out how the Z-crystals are connected to them and how they can get their hands on them to stop “The Blinding One” (then again I haven’t even faced Hala yet). Theres more of a focus on Nebby and its connection to the total darkness. Even Team Skull has more things to do with the Totem Stickers lol. Did GF NEED to make this into two games? Definitely not but they did and people still bought them anyway so their goal was achieved.

  12. Ok after spending some time studying Ultra Warping I found some tips and tricks to help you get deep

-Do not get hit, I can’t stress enough how much getting hit ruins your chances, one hit and you’re basically ruined, you cannot achieve perfect top speed if you suffer even a single hit

-change to Circle Pad, Tilt controls suck donkey ass

-Avoid everything, you kinda have to develop a sixth sense for situational awareness to know where wormholes will pop and avoid them

-don’t be tempted by the rings, only look for ones with the ripples

  13. I absolutely HATE that in the bag in Gen 7 it flashes and highlights new items and forces you to physically go and scroll over them in order to get it to go the f*ck away.
