Magikarp Jump iOS Release + Sun & Moon Update

After being shrouded in mystery for months, Magikarp Jump is beginning to roll out to countries in the iOS App Store!

Currently only available for a soft launch in the Italian App Store, Magikarp Jump has you play as the titular, weak Magikarp as you face off against other ‘Karp in jumping contests. There’s also a pet simulator aspect to the game where you’re able to collect, feed, train, and grow your Magikarp collection; housing them in a customizable aquarium where other famous and rare Pokémon will help you out along your journey. No word yet on when this mobile game will be released to the Japan, US, UK or other App Stores.

In main game news, Pokémon Sun & Moon version 1.2 is now available for download in the eShop! This 296 block update fixes multiple glitches within the game:

  • Fixes Sky Drop glitch where Pokémon active would remain active despite being knocked out
  • Fixes an issue where Scatterbug wouldn’t remember Egg Moves properly
  • Fixes a problem that allowed Poké Pelago to be manipulated with the 3DS calendar
  • Fixes a glitch where Eggs could be given items and it
  • Resolves a glitch where the game would crash if an Evolution Item was the last item in your bag and was used

As usual, these patches are required to go online in game and to participate in and at official events.

        • With all respect FUCK NO, FIX THE DAMN POKEMON FIRST THEN MERCHANDISE IT

It has shitty everything from stats to moves, I personally want it to be special fighting type since it is painfully lacking so to do that
          HP 80
          Atk 90
          Def 110
          SpAtk 125
          SpDef 100
          Speed 95
600 (Holy shit I was right on my first try)

And it learns Aura Sphere and are you a fan of Overcoat or no… I honestly got nothing for abilities

          • I mean I only plan to run Scarf
            Clanging Scales
            Aura Sphere
            Flash Cannon
and either Flamethrower or something to counter psychic types, Shadow Ball or Dark Pulse kinda work but unlikely to get them since Kommo-o is kinda anti-dark and evil

            Totally a Paladin

  3. Alright I’m going to do my first
Pokemon Walkthrough for my video series so out of these 3 games which one do want me to play most?

    -White 2
    -Platinum

  4. Perhaps… maybe I have an idea?

    Pokedex Entry: ???
    Mega Kommo-o
    Classification:
    Height: 6’07
    Weight: 239.3 Lbs
    Type: Dragon/Fighting
    Ability: Grand Stand
    Stats:
    HP: 75
    Attack: 145
    Defense: 150
    Special Attack: 100
    Special Defense: 135
    Speed: 95
    Base Stat Total: 700
Pokedex Entry: When it is unable to defend those it cares for against a threat, Kommo-o takes on this form in order to ensure its victory against the foe. Its scaly armor is able to deflect and withstand anything thrown its way and a single punch from it can level an entire mountain with little effort. Kommo-o that can mega evolve are revered by both people and pokemon alike due to their overwhelming strength and courage.

Grand Stand: The more Pokemon that are fainted in your party, the stronger this Pokemon is.

      • I would but I just feel like it kinda fits Kommo-o more to be physical… but I dunno… Whaddya think otherwise?

        • Otherwise it’s good, although 105 speed would help it outclass a few more things. And it still needs close combat, but a mega won’t fix that problem.

          • That too..a better sp attack stat would also be nice so that focus blast and clanging scales aren’t worthless

          • Tbh every gen is full of them lol. I was also a very harsh critic of gen 6 when that was around

          • Diantha sucks! Lysandre sucks! The rivals suck! The region is bland! The music is meh! The bandlands and lumoise are cancerous! The gym leaders have no personality! The starters are the worst trio! Diggersby hurts my eyes! The event legends were handed so poorly! Where the fuck is Z?! They put Zygarde in another region because they realized the amount of work it would take to fix Kalos would outweigh the effort to make a completely new gen!

            🙂

          • Araquanid
            Decidueye
            Primarina
            Mimikyu
            Tsareena
            Oranguru
            Toxapex
            Comfey
            Minior (To an extent)
            Drampa
            Salazzle

          • It can do some scary shit. It’s not amazing but it’s scary on the right teams
Should I mention alolan forms too?

          • Alolan Muk
            Alolan Marowak
            Alolan Ninetales
            Alolan Raichu
And, to an extent, Alolan Persian

(The other ones are shit tbh tho)

          • There aren’t even eleven alolan forms
I’m saying Alolan forms plus actual mons puts it over 11

          • Actually Incineroar is the better starter and Decidueye is the worst (I am talking about battle).

          • We get it, your delusional, please look at the tiers before saying anything. No offense, but Incineroar is not good in competitive my friend.
Decidueye is in UU, the same tier as Primarina
Incineroar is in RU currently and has usage that that currently puts it in NU

          • I am not looking at the tier I am talking about showdown (with their HA) and my experience tell me Decidueye is bad Incineroar is not perfect though but he is the best of the starters.

          • Dude…. showdown is tiers
Hidden ability won’t make Incineroar the best
Primarina is the best one competitively, I’ll admit
At least Decidueye has it’s own unique role
Incineroar? It’s literally just worse Arcanine.
Intimidate doesn’t prove shit, Arbok has intimidate and look how good THAT is

          • One source said it.. literally one source said it about an unreleased ability.
As much as I shit on showdown, they have hundreds of people playing per day and testing. Inineroar doesn’t get used… at all

            Please, use statistical proof

          • Actually I depend on my personal experience at the first place. Fake Out and Intimidate r very great combo u keep switching him and Intimidate ur foe with free fake out.

          • Personal experience isn’t valid compared to group tests
yeah but what good is switching out over and over when stealth rocks are up? Or Spike? Or toxic spikes? Or sticky web

          • Yeah I would talk about hazard issue but he is very useful in double ……I didn’t know wat r these humanz thinking but how in the hell u could say that Decidueye is better than Incineroar no way I can’t believe this……I mean r u blind look at their stats making Decidueye mix attacker is just a shit.

          • Incineroar is a bulky pokemon with a type meant ONLY for attacking
Decidueye may have less attack but its still good. Please, for the love of god, please open your damn eyes and realize your starter is a pile of shit and that it’s the worst of the gen

          • I know that humanz I didn’t said they r the best starters u need to open your damn eyes and realize wat am I saying Decidueye is a fucking mix attacker and he almost have good special move not even Leaf Storm this is such a waste.

          • It’s still better than Incineroar though sooooo
            I get it’s a waste, but it’s still better
This conversation is done, I’ll argue you again once you have facts outside of “Personal experience says it’s gr8!”

          • This just ur arrogance and ego that tell that’s ur right but u r far from that and I have nothing to say more than that.

          • Toucannon.Vikavolt,Ribombee,Lycanroc,Wishiwashi,Toxapex,Mudsdale,Shiinotic with Strength Sap,Salazzle,Bewear,Minior, the 2 monkeys,Mimikyu,Bruxish…….and we have alot of op legendaries.

          • I’ll give it that

I would have given it that speed but it doesn’t even look remotely fast… that’s why I didn’t make it over 100

          • Well, yeah, but I’m sayin it doesn’t look fast if you didn’t know anything about it. I still find it weird that it can fly

          • Well i feel there’s a lot of misinterpretation with that
the way i see it it can fold its body while running to at the very least glide fairly low to the ground or at the least shoot straight into the air with its own leg strength,
while people assume it starts floating upward or flapping its fins and fly like a bird or jet plane

          • It’s like some weird levitation shit in the anime. I guess it like runs and jumps and then is suspended in the air and glides lol

          • I’d maybe be okay with it getting in close and then whipping its hair at the opponent or something, but yeah it extending is just odd

          • that’s fair
i do like the idea of Diglett’s Metal Claw its three whiskers glow steel and rakes opponents

          • Yeah that’s neat. I still just think that they could’ve made a way cooler pokemon based around Pele’s Hair…I strongly prefer regular Dugtrio. I remember when Alola Dugs was revealed in the demo and a lot of people thought it might just be a joke. Too bad it wasn’t.

          • I love its animation for Flash Cannon how it blasts flashing light from the scales on its arms through its palm

    • Around 12:00 AM near the Eldin Great Skeleton for Dinraal, 5:00 AM for Farosh in the Faron area and Naydra by the Lanaryu road east gate.

    • It gets easier. The more you unlock confidants, the easier the game gets as you eventually get some pretty absurd skills, some of which pretty much break the game.

Really its a game that’s designed to always keep you at a disadvantage until you can break it, and then immediately remind you that your not invincible and you’ll get your arse kicked if you get cocky. I can’e remember which Persona those cav’s are. Are they the blue knight, or the orangeish red knight(eligor).

        • Pretty much every party member will get a baton past first, then a few will get a skill that occasionally will wive you a saving roll of recruiting persona’s, then the “paper fan” which randomly will let them cure status ailments, 8’s always the ability to survive a deadly attack with one hp once in a battle, the 9th’s pretty much always the ability to eat one deadly attack for you so long as they aren’t hit as well once, and the 10th rank gives you something special. Makoto’s probably my favorite of them, though Reuji’s is kinda perfect.

As for Sojiro’s, his you can take some time with since I think you’ll need some pretty high understanding at some point, or that might be someone else. A lot of the confidants have requirements where you’ll need high stats to proceed with them. Really the only one that I remember kinda taking me by surprise was the Priestess a couple dungeon’s down the line that requires max rank Charm. You have to be like Danny Sexbang levels of fabulous. Sojiro’s though is one you can put off a lot in favor of others. His items(coffee and Curry later) are fantastic, but once you get to work on Temperance you can pay them to make the items for you so you can do other things with your time, and once its maxed they’ll do it for free. The cost before that though is a seep 5000 yen, and you have to pay that fee to spend time with them as well, so mostly I’d recommend only paying them to do your laundry since that tends to pay for itself with how expensive armor gets.

  5. Here are some version exclusives:

    Exclusive to the Summer Version:
    Ballite (Ball + Bite)
    Dark/Ground
    The Beach Ball Pokemon
Ballite pretend to be normal beach balls, so they can eat pokemon that want to play with them. Scientists say they are in some way related to Sandygasts.

Evolves after you give it a Sharp Stick (an item) into:

    Umbrable (Umbrella + Sable)
    Dark/Ground
    The Beach Umbrella Pokemon
Umbrable are even more dangerous than Ballite. If you’d stand under it, like you would under a normal umbrella, it would close, killing you with its sharp teeth. They often “team up” with Pallosands to make a more believale “beach” that they would both get food from.

    Exclusive to the Winter version:
    Snoboh (from “Snowball”)
    Ice
    The Snowball Pokemon
It consists of a group of 4 smaller pokemon. They literally throw each other into the enemy pokemon. They look like Snowballs to make the predators confused.

Evolves after you give them Pieces of Coal (an item) into:

    Snomeh (from “Snowman”)
    Ice
    The Snowman pokemon
The four pokemon transform into 3 bigger Ball-like pokemon and they pretend to be a snowman. In this more powerful body, they can easily defeat some of their former predators. They also really like playing with children that think they are a real snowman.
