[UPD] November CoroCoro Leaking

The November issue of Japanese comic CoroCoro has started to leak online! This issue brings news on the mysterious Type: Null as well as some additional details on Alolan Grimer. Check out the scans and translations below!

Scans

Translations

  • Confirms Ilima (pink haired person next to Hau) as the first Trial Captain
  • Alolan Grimer is Poison/Dark-type.  It’s new look comes from eating Alolan garbage
  • Type: Null’s evolution is Shiruvadi – When Type: Null finds a trainer it trusts, it breaks its seal and becomes Shiruvadi.
  • Shiruvadi has a special item called Memory that gives it the power to be any type in conjunction with its ability, AR System. Also has a new attack called Multi Attack which changes its type based on the held item
  • Jangmo-o first evolves into Jarango, then into Jararanga
  • Both Jarango and Jararanga are Dragon/Fighting-type
  • The Pokémon Sun & Moon anime will premiere with an hour long special on November 17th
  • Samson Oak is the principal of the school that Ash will enroll in

NOTE: There seems to be some understandable confusion on whether or not Shiruvadi is actually an evolution of Type:Null, or a forme change, or something else. The Japanese word for evolution, 進化 (しんか), is specifically used between the two. Showing that, despite the little aesthetic change and the special breaking the seal artwork, Shiruvadi is indeed Type:Null’s evolution.

  1. So Type: Null is now basically confirmed as a failed human experiment in recreating Arceus. And people still think its a children’s game lok

  2. I totally forgot about CoroCoro, my life has been very distracting lately, but this is awesome news! Why are there unconfirmed parts though?

  3. The more I think about it, the more it would have made sense if Grimer was originally a water type and it just got polluted.
And Alola was the only place where it didn’t get polluted or Alola’s waters cleansed it.

  4. If you see the top left corner you can see something as (I’m guessing here) dragon scales and something like a claw. I’m guessing Jangmo-o evo might suffer the bipedal change as many others

  5. New info came out that Type: Null’s evolution will have the ability ‘AR System’ that lets it change its type depending on the item it holds.

  6. “Hmm, according to the same person, the full evo chain for Jangmo-o is in the magazine. Both middle and final evolutions. Interesting.”

  7. Alright prediction time
I just had a idea for Jangmo-o’s evo
It stands up on two legs and on its arms are two large golden grey scales protruding out its forearms, these scales are its entire life and they use them as either trusty twin sabers or dual wielding shields, a long scaled tail and a crown of scales on its head like a coif They pride themselves to master both offensively and defensively

  8. poison/dark actually is one of my favorite type combos since one of my favorite mons is that type. Drapion. I might use Grimer line now

  9. Interesting. I like Dark/Poison Grimer and hopefully Muk.

If Jangmo-o is a three evolution line and isn’t stupidly difficult to obtain I’m using it in my playthrough. Please don’t be like Volcarona

          • I don’t mind legendaries being obtained post game. But normal Pokemon shouldn’t be available only post game
And also lvl 59 evolution is equally as horrendous. I dislike Dragonair and Pupitar for evolving so late as well, but I can forgive them cos they are at least Pseudo legendaries.

          • Thats what got to me with BW. So many pokemon evolved late and so I had no motivation using them for the main story.

          • Yeh but like I said they are pseudos and and 3 stage lines so I can forgive them somewhat .

What I can’t forgive is how weak the middle stages are however. It’s a grind getting them up to the required level.

          • I can forgive 55, I cannot forgive 64.
Until 64, 55 had been the limit.

And Volcarona is a Pseudo-legendary, despite not being a Dragon.

At any rate, G5 suffered from high-level syndrome. Drilbur lvl 31, Yamask lvl 34, Scrafty lvl 39

          • I disagree that Volcarona is a Pseudo Legendary. It doesn’t fit any of the. Criteria other than a late final evolutions
            No 600 BST (only 550)
            No three stage evolution line.

Pseudo Legends are Dragonite, Tyranitar, Metagross, Salamence, Garchomp, Hydreigon and Goodra

          • Who even makes these rules?
I think gamefreak is using a different set to everyone else.

They gave Volcarona it’s own palace.

          • Pseudo-legendaries have to meet a few criteria

            1; Three-stage evolutionary line
            2: 1,250,000 exp at level 100
            3: BST of 600

  10. I liked alolan grimmer… kinda goofy haha
I always liked muk, so i hope for a cool design!
About the rest of the leak… well we had times where it came over 2/3 nights!
    Im hoping for it tonight!
Maybe the leak boss arrived and he didnt got time to take/upload pictures!
    Im ok in waiting…
but i agree its kinda shady just to post the information….
Abiut type null… ar lalala? Well maybe it has to do with the new ar feature!
The alleged type null evo…. i never thougt it being a 1 stage pokemon….
    If portgon has 2 evos… why not taipy(digimon homage :] )….
I dont want the dragon to be part fighting… just because i think we have a lot of fighting already… but the 4x to fairy will be cool!
