The November issue of Japanese comic CoroCoro has started to leak online! This issue brings news on the mysterious Type: Null as well as some additional details on Alolan Grimer. Check out the scans and translations below!

- Confirms Ilima (pink haired person next to Hau) as the first Trial Captain
- Alolan Grimer is Poison/Dark-type. It’s new look comes from eating Alolan garbage
- Type: Null’s evolution is Shiruvadi – When Type: Null finds a trainer it trusts, it breaks its seal and becomes Shiruvadi.
- Shiruvadi has a special item called Memory that gives it the power to be any type in conjunction with its ability, AR System. Also has a new attack called Multi Attack which changes its type based on the held item
- Jangmo-o first evolves into Jarango, then into Jararanga
- Both Jarango and Jararanga are Dragon/Fighting-type
- The Pokémon Sun & Moon anime will premiere with an hour long special on November 17th
- Samson Oak is the principal of the school that Ash will enroll in
NOTE: There seems to be some understandable confusion on whether or not Shiruvadi is actually an evolution of Type:Null, or a forme change, or something else. The Japanese word for evolution, 進化 (しんか), is specifically used between the two. Showing that, despite the little aesthetic change and the special breaking the seal artwork, Shiruvadi is indeed Type:Null’s evolution.
I really hope Jangmo-o’s ends up being Dragon/Fighting, such an interesting combination. Hopefully it’ll have an anti-fairy ability
Judging by its abilties I really assumed it would be Dragon/Steel
Weakness to Ice, Fairy (ouch), Dragon, Psychic and Flying.
No immunities.
Resistances: Dark, Fire, Grass, Electric, Water, Bug, Rock.
That’s why I said hopefully it’ll have an anti-fairy ability. Call it Iron Scales or whatever
it has soundproof and bulletproof , so maybe when it evolves it’ll get something like these abilities or a new one but with the same principle , while only blocking psychic or ice or flying type moves. Because lets be honest , stopping all fairy type attacks would make it a BEAST AND OVERPOWERED
It would still be weak to things like Xatu and Jynx.
Not all fairy attacks, but at least half its weakness to it. Knights wore metal armours so its ability could be based on that (and it being half fighting would still make sense). Half its weakness to fairy and flying and it’s perfect

I just checked out both abilities , and while bulletproof blocks mainly attacks of types he resists , soundproof seems like an excellent ability since it blocks fairy type moves of the likes of hyper voice , disarming voice , it also blocks snarl and perish song , bug buzz and boom burst.

I don’t see why that’s necessary honestly. Plenty of Pokémon have 4x weaknesses to things but are still VERY good. All of the pseudos come to mind besides Goodra and metagross. Half are 4x weak to ice. Hydreigon is already 4x weak to fairy. Tyranitar is 4x weak to fighting. All still incredibly useful and powerful Pokémon

Well, yes it’s designed to take them on already but that doesn’t necessarily mean in its current form. It’s description states that it’s true power is locked away behind that mask. So I could see it having an evolution that rids itself of the mask or an item that causes it to form change permanently.
Type: Null on of my favorite pkmn in this gen if he have an evolution I couldn’t imagine how badass will look like ..and I want it but I am not sure that will happen.
While I always leave room for anything, I don’t think they’re faking anything. I mean a dragon/fighting Jangmo-o evo isn’t all that’s farfetch’d, and seeing as Type:Null is designed to take on legendary Pokémon giving it an “evolution”, (I don’t think it’s an evolution in the traditional sense, I’m imagining a wishiwashi school form scenario), also makes sense.

I’d just like to point out that Alolan Muk is about to be a beast! His only weakness will be ground. I never realized how good a poison/dark type combination was. Poison gets rid of literally all the dark types weaknesses and dark type gets rid of half of poison’s in the psychic type. Just wow! 😀

Skuntank is pretty decent from what I’ve used of it. Muk will have different stats and a different move pool though, in fact Muk has higher stats in both attack and special defense and defense

Really, my point is that we have to consider them both to be lying until it’s proven one way or the other (though I’ll be bummed if the list is fake because I’ll have done all that math for nothing).
Yeah, I thought that, but from what I can gleam from all the question marks and intervals in the list, the riddler doesn’t seem to know everything, and there’s 2 additional unrevealed normal types, so maybe they just didn’t know about this evolution (it might be a big deal lore wise). Or maybe it’s not an evolution but a form? That would seem slightly more logical to me.
