[UPD] November CoroCoro Leaking

The November issue of Japanese comic CoroCoro has started to leak online! This issue brings news on the mysterious Type: Null as well as some additional details on Alolan Grimer. Check out the scans and translations below!

Scans

Translations

  • Confirms Ilima (pink haired person next to Hau) as the first Trial Captain
  • Alolan Grimer is Poison/Dark-type.  It’s new look comes from eating Alolan garbage
  • Type: Null’s evolution is Shiruvadi – When Type: Null finds a trainer it trusts, it breaks its seal and becomes Shiruvadi.
  • Shiruvadi has a special item called Memory that gives it the power to be any type in conjunction with its ability, AR System. Also has a new attack called Multi Attack which changes its type based on the held item
  • Jangmo-o first evolves into Jarango, then into Jararanga
  • Both Jarango and Jararanga are Dragon/Fighting-type
  • The Pokémon Sun & Moon anime will premiere with an hour long special on November 17th
  • Samson Oak is the principal of the school that Ash will enroll in

NOTE: There seems to be some understandable confusion on whether or not Shiruvadi is actually an evolution of Type:Null, or a forme change, or something else. The Japanese word for evolution, 進化 (しんか), is specifically used between the two. Showing that, despite the little aesthetic change and the special breaking the seal artwork, Shiruvadi is indeed Type:Null’s evolution.

  1. Okay, so I just came back fro, 25 hours of Yom Kippur but….
    Here are my thoughts:

I honestly don’t mind this alolan Grimer. LOVE that Jangmo-o’s evolutions are Dragon Fighting.
Type: Null is interesting but I need to see that stuff.

BUT if this is fake.. Give me something like this.

    • The fasting I could live with, but being stuck in a synagogue all day – ouch.

The only thing ‘confirmed’ (we’re doubtful of that now) is alolan grimer, the rest is just word of mouth.

          • Probably it would be fine, it reminds me of the stop-motion and animated Christian films they used to show at school, if they were like that I’d be OK. Was the only thing that made religious assembly’s bearable back then.

          • I only remember a thing in secondary school about Siddartha (the Buddha) and a version of the good samaritan as told by a northener (loads of people in my class who hadn’t heard northeners before thought it was funny how he said ‘bewk’ instead of how we say ‘book’).

          • I try to block it out, religious stories can be interesting, I don’t like preaching though. It was better when this Ventriloquist guy would come to our school every now and again, for no real reason that I can remember, must’ve been educational somehow XD

          • It depends on the story, the ones that are about being good to each other are nice, the ones about the power of god not so much (I think Job was one of those).

We had a giraffe puppet in primary school that taught us about something, but I can’t remember what.

          • I think we were only shown the nice ones and the crucifixion. Also Jason and the Argonauts but I think that was in a different class.
The puppet this guy had was a boy called Jimmy, all I remember was he misbehaved a lot and hated being locked away in the trunk.

          • Erm… Jason and the Argonauts it’s a greek myth, not a religious thing XD
Unless you were studying ancient greek polytheism for some reason.

            Sounds pretty cliché.
And I can’t hear the name Jimmy anymore without thinking about…
*resists urge to make innapropriate joke*

      • Lol, not that religious but we were in the synagogue for 2 hours.

But yah, I don’t mind grimer. But I honestly really hope the other stuff if true

      • It was just supposed to be an amalgam (no pun intended) of various insects, mainly beetles. It’s supposed to be coloured similarly to Heracross, but metallic, and some other colour (maybe yellow or silver, haven’t decided).

Yeah, I can’t remember how I thought of it, but it suddenly struck me when people were discussing Fire/Grass that Sunflora, being a sunflower, would be a really good candidate.

        Reply
        • I mostly thought that because of the spiky horns and the main body. Reminds me of Eatle from Ben 10.
I think an evolution for Sunflora would be nice because it’s stats are bad, but as a Stone evolver I doubt that would happen, so a new form is likely the best we’d get. Fire makes the most sense with Sun I agree.

  2. Gotta say this is the most frustrating Corocoro leak ever. It’s not like it’s the first time it’s been partial, but iirc it’s the first time we get a fragment of a page, and then just dodgy info on what the rest is supposed to be. Maybe it has happened before, but I guess as every generation the hype grows and so does the amount of fakes and artificial hype thus generated, things just get more frustrating. Hopefully this will be solved by tomorrow.

  3. Fakemon idea. First stage, tumbleweed, grass type. Second stage, burning tumbleweed, fire/grass. Due to the friction of it rolling at very high speeds, it caught fire. Kinda lame, but it works 🙂 gotta have high speed though

  4. I’m not the biggest fan of Alolan Grimer, in my opinion they just made him uglier and simply added the dark type, I feel like they could have made Alolan Grimer much more unique like making him a puddle of purified water, a pile of mud, or even some lava. At least we have yet to see Muk, and there is a chance that they can make him look pretty cool. I can’t wait to see the rest of the scans though! Especially Jangmo-o’s evolution line.

  5. So next to the Sushi Bar was this comic and collectibles store
They were selling this “Link between Worlds” Figure set
    FREAKING 68.00$ total ripoff

Also I saw this cool Manga book for Zelda Minish cap
Gotta say…I really wanna read it…

  6. I think Alolan Royalty should ride atop the shell of Giant Magcargo on a fire proof throne, slow most of the time but can speed across lava from the volcano.

  7. I’m going to escape while I can.

Since it’s not got long before it’s defunct, I’m pretty much abandonning the Disqus project I was working on, here go nuts:

Also to keep you entertained, I’m slowly resurrecting my DA account, I made this interesting poll on the forums:

      • Ah condolences.

I like to put moves that don’t miss for battle facilities bur sometimes gotta have those Play Rough, Hyper Beam and Focus Blast because there’s no other good choices…

        • I really hope they put the battle frontier in the Sinnoh remakes so I can use my competitive Pokémon. If I could use ones with good stats and moves and items I’d get further. For now I’m trying my best to get as far as possible with my team

I do like how they put trophys in your house in HGSS though. That’s a cool little detail

          • XYORAS the “trophies” are in the Maison though. And the contest Pokemon are in the museum… which is kind of the same thing but at least it’s public.

Come Sun and Moon it’s time to hit the Battle Whatever again. Without Bank until January, I will have to quickly build a team that will get the equivalent of 5 Maison statues if I wanna be among the first to land on the battle facility thread in Smogon.

      • Aww that sucks. Recently when I played ORAS I lost to a Umbreon because my Mega Kangaskhan’s move missed, so I know how that feels ):

      • i beat the battle hall because argenta decided to pit her regigigas against my purugly. it was hilarious how easy that was. hall and arcade are awful facilities.

    • I think that was more or less proven when Butterfree was shown in the part of the one trailer that showed off Poke finder. lol

  8. YES YES AND YES.

According to people that played the 2 hour version of the game, the game is NOT dumbing down players. It’s actually quite difficult in the beginning having them using lots of healing items and strategy. If this is true, THESE GAMES ARE GOING TO BE THE BEST.

  9. Welp, it’s almost 1am here so time to hit the hay. Watch as soon I fall asleep the other leaks get revealed. I’m lucky like that.

  10. Ever since I finished ORAS, I always wanted a Legendary(whose typing I couldn’t decide on) that basically is comprised of Infinity Energy, and can utilize the energy for destructive power. An ability I had it mind was that it negates Megas from being used in the battle, and if Megas are attempted it absorbs the infinity energy power from the mega stone, powering up its STAB attacks. Kinda sounds OP, but just an idea I had.
