[UPD] November CoroCoro Leaking

The November issue of Japanese comic CoroCoro has started to leak online! This issue brings news on the mysterious Type: Null as well as some additional details on Alolan Grimer. Check out the scans and translations below!

Scans

Translations

  • Confirms Ilima (pink haired person next to Hau) as the first Trial Captain
  • Alolan Grimer is Poison/Dark-type.  It’s new look comes from eating Alolan garbage
  • Type: Null’s evolution is Shiruvadi – When Type: Null finds a trainer it trusts, it breaks its seal and becomes Shiruvadi.
  • Shiruvadi has a special item called Memory that gives it the power to be any type in conjunction with its ability, AR System. Also has a new attack called Multi Attack which changes its type based on the held item
  • Jangmo-o first evolves into Jarango, then into Jararanga
  • Both Jarango and Jararanga are Dragon/Fighting-type
  • The Pokémon Sun & Moon anime will premiere with an hour long special on November 17th
  • Samson Oak is the principal of the school that Ash will enroll in

NOTE: There seems to be some understandable confusion on whether or not Shiruvadi is actually an evolution of Type:Null, or a forme change, or something else. The Japanese word for evolution, 進化 (しんか), is specifically used between the two. Showing that, despite the little aesthetic change and the special breaking the seal artwork, Shiruvadi is indeed Type:Null’s evolution.

  4. Oh look another fight below, because some people think it’s ok to insult others. As long as you pass it off as a joke and claim people being offended are ‘butt hurt’ it’s all good. Rule #385 of the internet.

*same applies with racist and discriminatory posts*

We hope you enjoy your stay.

    • I realize I need to stay out of these things more, I often get caught in the middle somewhere. -_- I have a short fuse believe it or not, I can’t help myself sometimes. I apologize to the mods for the spam and apologize to you all for having to deal with my clutter.

      • But that takes away people’s freedom to insult others. Can’t you understand that freedom is more important than other people’s feelings?

        • I’ll be honest I’m half and half on that.
Both approaches : freedom of speech > feelings and feelings > freedom of speech can be abused.

Protecting people’s feelings could lead to religions being muted because their beliefs offend someone (there’s plenty of stuff in most religious books that could cause people offense), but protecting freedom of speech could lead to radicalisation from extremists.

          • I have to agree with you on this one. I just thinking being a responsible person is all it takes. Responsible on your criticism of others, and responsible in your reactions to other people.

Obviously responsibility is sometimes too much to ask for, but one can hope.

          • Responsibility is hard though.
6,000+ years of civilisation and the human race is still screwing up constantly.

Plus it’s easy to go on the defensive when everyone is pseudo-anonymous and it can be hard to know who’s friend and who’s foe.

      • I find it’s always good to be careful with your words. I usually never post anything longer than a few lines for that reason.

Also taking responsibility for a mistake (as opposed to arguing) helps make the world a better place.

        • Long stuff is ok if you choose your words carefully. It’s emotive language that tends to rile things up, sticking to logical arguments tends to be the best policy since logic can always be backed or refuted with evidence, and it easier to resolve amicably.

          • Yeh, but I know my own personal limits. If I go on for too long, emotions always manage to sneak in, then everything goes to shit…

    • ” As long as you pass it off as a joke and claim people being offended are ‘butt hurt’ it’s all good. ” – Amy Schumer and Lena Dunham is that you

  5. On a lighter note, XY is three years old today! If you’re like me, at this time three years ago you were exploring that one maze cave.

  6. Don’t know if this was already said but someone on twitter who has played the game confirmed that the use of 3D in S/M will be limited to the Picture Feature. So no more 3D battle 🙁 It’s not a big thing but I liked 3D sometimes…

  7. Three years ago today I was working overtime, but once I got off of work I went to gamestop and picked up my copy of X, but didn’t get a chance to play it since I had to get some extra sleep since I had to do overtime time the day after as well. Also on a side note Alolan Muk could be a good counter pokemon as long as its still bulky and priority. Shadow Sneak the pokemon who don’t use quick guard or protect.

  8. So far I’m seeing plenty of reviews involving the recent 2 hour gameplay of Sun and Moon. And mostly I’ve heard some good things, but not mostly stuff we already know. However of two amounts of information that caught my interest. One was from a german reveiwer who says after going through the process of choosing his starter, your choice and your trainer got through a small cinematic ritual, which I suppose it supposed to symbolize your partnership. (Too bad most people are just going to box them immediately after) Hala asks your starter if it wants to join you on your journey, to which it says yes. So it sounds like choosing your starter sounds a lot more meaningful than in previous games. Another bit of interesting info was from eurogamer that says Pokemon Refresh also serves as a post-battle minigame, which you can give your buddy some aftercare after some certain circumstances from battle, like if it gets dirty, wet, or poisoned. Your bond also grows as a result. Interesting thing to also pick up from this is that he say the end game of this pampering is likely the new z-move mechanic. Anyway, what do you guys think of this recent news?

  9. Hey just to let you guys know there’s most likely going to be new information on trial captains – the word “captain” is on the Corocoro scan under Grimer in magenta

  11. So I heard somewhere that the leaker said that he wasn’t going to say anything else period. Did he really say this or did somebody just say that?

  12. I think the thought of Null evolving is a Very odd one. And the Dragon becoming fighting sound familiar.. but I’m sure it’s real.

  13. Why is serebii trusting this person’s words on Jangmo-o and Type: Null? I thought Serebii only posted 100% confirmed stuff, even with the unconfirmed warning it seems out of character.

  14. Hey, does anyone have a spare Volcanion code? It’s really unfair for those of us in South America, we don’t even have a chance to get these pokemon unless it’s via internet. I will appreciate it very much 🙂
