Translations:
- NEW Rockruff’s evolution’s forms are version exclusive
- NEW Day Rugarugan’s signature move is called Accelerock (or Accel Rock) which is a priority move described as “a flashing strike”
- NEW Night Rugarugan’s signature move is Counter which is glamorized with the flavor text “a fierce strikeback”
- NEW It seems these are not simple day/night evolutions but are a reflection of the powers that reside in Alola; Solgaleo in Pokémon Sun (Midday form) and Lunaala in Pokémon Moon (Midnight form)
- Rockruff’s evolution is called Rugarugan (ルガルガン). CoroCoro is very vague on Rugarugan, though it appears that it may change form during day and night, and it is not simply a split evolution.
- Two new Ultra Beasts are revealed, UB02 Beauty (shown in Pokémon Moon) and UB02 Expansion (shown in Pokémon Sun)
- The new anime series is called Pokemon: Sun & Moon and will start in November. Since there is no league in the Alola Region Ash’s goal in this season will be to graduate from school.
- Next month’s issue will reveal the true strength of Type: Null

That leak isn’t real. The Werewolf thing was obvious from the official site description. The leak from a couple days ago just put that in their leak to try and make it more credible. All their other info appears to be fake.

That leak gave us everything true, not a single fake info till now. Rockruff night form is clearly based on a werewolf. Stop being so boring cause even leakers are human and not robot. Seeing that I wold have said werewolf too, not thinking : “wait, but all people will discredit me because it’s not half-human, like that guy with alola rattata not being dark type but dark/normal. Huge mistake”. That leak is completly true andthose starters are too.

It’s not a werewolf though. That would imply in can become human or is at least somewhat humanoid. It’s just a wolf and angrier wolf.

I hope Ultra Beasts were just added onto to the games to spice up the story. I don’t know what to feel about.. catching those things and using them in battle.

I don’t mind if they are form changes as long as you can store them into the PC system and they retain it.. much like Sawsbuck’s seasonal change. That way it could work as a split evolution.

Well I guess the giant red muscular mosquito seals the deal for me! I’m now most likely going for Pokémon Sun! Just hope the Ultra Beast are catchable but they make it really hard… Example: Collect every Pokemon on MeleMele Island to catch UB-01.
Or it could be post game. Once you have defeated all the Ultra Beast you can go back to battle them again and this time they are catchable.

Well if they want to take a more mature direction with the series, it would fit imo.
Like many have said over the past two months, it’s a huge time waster to design a synchro for every Pokemon morphed with the trainer (especially if customization is involved). I don’t see it happening in a game except for these UB’s since they are specifically one person with one “pokemon’s” design.

The only reason its so close to “BURST” is the “Humans and pokemon are the same thing”, but there is lore in Gen 4 that says that once long ago humans and pokemon WERE one and the Same, And that basically humans and pokemon evolved in different ways, Its more Credible to think that Ultra Beasts are from a Dimension where this never became True. So Humans and Pokemon never drifted apart and never stopped being the Same.

Looks like Ash Will be getting Rowlet afterall. And would later on get Litten as well, and the Water Type Captain Popplio.
There no doubt about it that the Pokemon Company had planned this through right when X and Y was just starting out. It won’t be right away of course, but I’m guessing that the series would be centered on Ash’s Litten, who would have a similar backstory as Ash’s Charmander and Ash’s Chimchar, and would later on evolve into it’s final evolution (based on the rough sketches with it’s final evolution).
I sense Diamond and Pearl remake on the horizon.

i think the Aether Foundation is trying to create perfect beings with the qualities of Pokemon and Humans. i don’t think these are the only 3 and i think everyone except the “employees” will have one. maybe the conflict is that its not up to any one man to create beings and it becomes this whole “Pokemonized” story of “only God can create things”.
I feel like just because Team skull is a team of misfits and rejects that they don’t have complete antagonistic plans. I think with both teams its gonna be the whole we want to do some thing good and something bad but the Aether Foundations “something bad” is on a level that threatens humanity while team skull maybe ends up being good seeing as Guzma was a trial captain reject. maybe he realizes he once tried to be a good person and what the Aether is doing isn’t right.
Also with the whole people thinking Colress has some relevancy here, i don’t think is too far off the mark. If Colress isn’t a founder of the Aether foundation their work would be inspired by that of Colress. The Hiker in X/Y near the stones said that a guy named Colress told him that those stones emit some power. Maybe he created the Z ring sting as z moves happen when people and pokemon are in complete sync.
i know I’m describing Colress as just having the mind of a true scientist and the Aether as wanting to do bad things but that doesn’t mean that either Colress of the Aether cant alter their plans.

If they had not announced the fact that Sun and Moon will take place 12 h apart, I would not have believed this theory. But I think this might actually be a thing now. If you play Moon, you will mostly see the night version of the starter and if you play Sun you will mostly see the day version. That would actually be pretty cool.
It would definitely make things more interesting. That way maybe we’ll get more variety as far as seeing what everyone uses in online battles lol

When we got UB-01 a lot of people thought that it was simply that her dna was involved rather than her actually being a UB, but this is a bit perculiar if you ask me hahaha
Imo there will be no split evolution for the starters. The chinese leak said the starters will evolve into an archer, a wrestler and a mermaid and we have those. Have you noticed that all other leaks who talk about split evolution for the starters never describe the supposed other form, while a lot of leaks talked about Rockruff evolution to be a werewolf? A werewolf is a werewolf only during full moon, so it may implies a day form (and not a split evolution). I don’t think this is the secret the four share.
Then what is their shared secret? The only that makes Rockruff specialat this point is the forms for its evolution. If not split evolution forms then what? I really only makes sense. That and then there’s the unused typings that were found on the old iteration of the Japanese website for the starters. It just seems a bit too perfect to not fully match up. lol
Corocoro said they all have a secret, isn’t it strange that the magazine doesn’t even mention the starters in this issue and does not suggest there will be something about them on next issue? For what we know Popplio could only evolve at night and Rowlet only on day. So the secret is that the evolutions are time based, that’s all. Just saying of course, but you know we have the leaked evolutions since June, if those had othere forms some leaks would have suggest what those forms look like, not simply say that they exist just because it was obvious that Rockruff has more then one evolution.
I’m not saying that we can’t just have the ones we already know about, but it would be odd for all their secrets to be different in one way or another. I know it was just an example, but I don’t think they’d force the starters to evolve specifically at one time of the day. Anyway it’s possible that Corocoro just has the exclusive on the Rockruff evo and not on the starters. We are getting new info on Wednesday and I hardly believe that all they’re going to do is rehash what we got here. I could see them talking about the new UBs and then covering the starter evos (even if it’s just the mid forms for now) and saying that they’re evolution method is similar to Rockruff. Then we’d get a teaser for next month where they show the finals off or something.
This famous secret is something only corocoro has covered. GF has never spoken about any sort of secret. If someone had to point to the starters, then corocoro should have.
I think the secret is either something to do with z moves or its that rockruff is in a new manga and maybe the anime as well, and the starters are too. It’s a lame secret, but the fact that they are all mascots is something they have in common.
Yes, but if they don’t want to show off the final evolutions of the starters yet then it wouldn’t make sense to bring them up yet. Either way you can’t omit the possibility that the form differences could be the secret. I suppose we’ll just have to wait and find out lol

Well they don’t need to come right out and say it. They could be more cryptic. Either way I don’t think the possibility is that far out there. We’ll just have to wait and see. Plus I think it’d be cool and something special. they almost never do anything super crazy with the starters and this could be great lol

What I mean is they could say something like “Rockruff’s evolution is different huh? Well guess what the starters evolve into!” or something like that. they don’t have to come right out and say “hey the starters have split evo forms too!” Either way like I said we won’t really know until we know. We don’t have to agree on this it’s just one possibility.
Rockruff doesn’t have a split evolution, only one that looks different during the day or night, it’s still the same Pokemon so 100% that’s what their secret is, it has to be
