Translations:
- NEW Rockruff’s evolution’s forms are version exclusive
- NEW Day Rugarugan’s signature move is called Accelerock (or Accel Rock) which is a priority move described as “a flashing strike”
- NEW Night Rugarugan’s signature move is Counter which is glamorized with the flavor text “a fierce strikeback”
- NEW It seems these are not simple day/night evolutions but are a reflection of the powers that reside in Alola; Solgaleo in Pokémon Sun (Midday form) and Lunaala in Pokémon Moon (Midnight form)
- Rockruff’s evolution is called Rugarugan (ルガルガン). CoroCoro is very vague on Rugarugan, though it appears that it may change form during day and night, and it is not simply a split evolution.
- Two new Ultra Beasts are revealed, UB02 Beauty (shown in Pokémon Moon) and UB02 Expansion (shown in Pokémon Sun)
- The new anime series is called Pokemon: Sun & Moon and will start in November. Since there is no league in the Alola Region Ash’s goal in this season will be to graduate from school.
- Next month’s issue will reveal the true strength of Type: Null

No, according to Serebii, it just says that some Pokemon from GO have alternate forms in Alola (Alolan forms).
Really nice design for Rockruff’s evo. There was no need of that synchro shit.
But, those Ultra Beasts.. I really doubt those are even catchable. As one of those resemble Lusamine and has been already said, maybe those creatures are mixes of other pokemon and humans.
Some rumours stated Ultra Beasts are the result of a dimension in which pokemon and humans are the same. That would be amazing; I hope, however, those mixes aren’t true “pokemon”. Just in order to keep the traditional way, although all those innovative changes fit nicely in the plot.
So the blondes in the game share 1 thing in common they all have UB’s resembling them. Looks like Pokemon and Persona fused lol

So according to Serebii, the next Pokemon anime will be a school based “slice of life” style anime . Kinda new and interesting to see how it does, and how Ash will fail to graduate XD

Going the My Little Pony route? Unfortunately for Ashy Boy here, the writers will fuck it up. The Mane Six have actually done something that Ash will never do, achieve their dreams (and in a smaller number of episodes too).
Gets to the final exam and doesn’t get the necessary score to beat it.
This is cool knowing the starters might have separate evolutions but will it just be the final evos or will it start from the the second stage????

So it looks like Mallow with a bouncesweet will be joining ash and Lilly will be in the anime with a vulpix so does that mean Lilly is human and the UB01 is just based on her? Because I can’t see UB having any Pokemon

Anyone else notice how the anime has a new art style? IDK it seems odd for me, maybe because XY’s animation was over the top for me. But I do think they are straying from the old formula with him being in School. Maybe like the games, Ash is leaving Kanto and moving to Alola hence he needs to get an education XD
Also kinda shocking that Ash is wearing an exact copy of the male Sun and Moon player’s default cloths.

Hmm never noticed it. Aww well, also I kinda am indifferent with this new art style, as it makes Ash and Pikachu look a bit odd. And frm my guess in the photos, it seems Ash will get Rowlet or Litten, as Popplio is being held my Lana, giving me the idea that she may own it. Also he might have different companions since this is a school based anime an all, making me hopeful that it’ll have comedy.
It’s too early to judge.
But I’m not getting my hopes up, it looks like a significant downgrade from XY(Z)
I dont see how they could justify another complete reset after what they’ve done with the Kalos league and now TF arc. Maybe a soft reset so that Ash isn’t too powerful right at the start.
Ash would probably get Rowlet first, and then Litten later on, who would then evolve into it’s final form. (The same formular as Ash’s Charmander and Chimchar)

I was expecting to like the “werewolf”-like form of Rockruff’s evolution more but I gotta say, the day version looks waaaay better. Maybe it’s the red, kind of off putting.
So for Rockruff. Is it two different evos? A second and third evo? Or one evo with an alternative form?
Corocoro is a bit vague. It doesn’t rule out that it is one evo with form changes, or that it’s two evos dependent on the time of day.
Wednesday will give an answer to these questions.

I like the new style; clean/crips with bright colors. I’m also looking forward to the genre overhaul. Slice of life and school anime have been doing very well and the biggest film in Japan right now and possibly in Japanese film history is a slice of life film known as Your Name. so I wasn’t surprised Pokemon jumped on the wagon.
What does that even mean? Slice of life?
Basically its like normal life of people, no super natural stuff, adventures that may actually happen, all with a plot focus. In this case its like a form of that mixed with Pokemon.
Deals with real and everyday problems and plays out like how humans live their lives. It’s very calm, not much goes on, and often times to combat that they add fantasy or action. Pokemon is not going to be a true slice of life, more like a blend.
I dont like it at all, I prefere the XY style, and least they had finger nails, something that always bothered me when I was little, and I really dont like animes with such simplified style…I hope the animation is good and not like BW
Trust me, it will be. Also, this style of animation is the norm now for television in Japan with a few exceptions. Simple, elongated, bright or muted colors, and a few artistic embellishments.
I dont trust the anime at all, the BW was the worst anime I’ve ever seen in terms of quality, XY was great just because the animation was so good and fights were bad ass, if they are going with this cutie style that we often see in girls anime, I dont think we will see the same kind of animation quality as XY,
still I’m gonna have to wait for the trailer to Judge the quality, but as for now I dont like the style.
