Translations:
- NEW Rockruff’s evolution’s forms are version exclusive
- NEW Day Rugarugan’s signature move is called Accelerock (or Accel Rock) which is a priority move described as “a flashing strike”
- NEW Night Rugarugan’s signature move is Counter which is glamorized with the flavor text “a fierce strikeback”
- NEW It seems these are not simple day/night evolutions but are a reflection of the powers that reside in Alola; Solgaleo in Pokémon Sun (Midday form) and Lunaala in Pokémon Moon (Midnight form)
- Rockruff’s evolution is called Rugarugan (ルガルガン). CoroCoro is very vague on Rugarugan, though it appears that it may change form during day and night, and it is not simply a split evolution.
- Two new Ultra Beasts are revealed, UB02 Beauty (shown in Pokémon Moon) and UB02 Expansion (shown in Pokémon Sun)
- The new anime series is called Pokemon: Sun & Moon and will start in November. Since there is no league in the Alola Region Ash’s goal in this season will be to graduate from school.
- Next month’s issue will reveal the true strength of Type: Null

I don’t get it. Grass starters are based on prehistoric animals. Fire starters are based on the Chinese zodiac. But water starters are based on weapons. But what weapon is Popplio’s evo based on?
Blastoise (cannon), Feraligatr (brass knuckles), Swampert (Japanese war fan), Empoleon (trident), Samurott (samurai sword) and Greninja (ninja stars) are all based on obvious weapons. What weapon will Popplio’s evo be based on?

I honestly believe that all of this is bullshit and fans trying to force a pattern when it Doesn’t exist.
You do know that theory has been debunked for awhile, right. Chespin pretty much did away with the prehistoric argument since its literally an Armadillo. The firs starter argument has been debunked several times over given it requires you to stretch your logic by a fair bit, and made worse as their are often prime pokemon pics that would have made more sense for it. Heck even the water weapons theory is just the result of people wanting to replace the theory that all water starters are amphibious theory, due to the fact that they sort of have to be..
Chespin is thought to be first mamallian and Fire thing is still going on imo.

Yes and no. Technically they are if you look in the most broad category of species, but that’s like saying a Gorilla and a human are the same thing. As well, you have the whole elephant in the rood that we have Houndoom. If they really wanted to go that route of the Chinese Zodiac, they could have easily used it as a starter in gen 2, introducing the dark type for player much more easily as well, instead of using the stretch we have now that says a hedgehog is a mouse.

I like theories as much as the next guy but I definitely wouldn’t jump to any conclusions yet regarding the plot. People have a tendency to get upset when media doesn’t match the headcanon they had established. It kinda happened to X&Y and probably happen with Sun & Moon.
What theories you talking about? Reboot? Debunked via the poster. The only one thats still alive is alchemy theory and the existence of Null only further confirms it.

I’m starting to get the feeling that we’ll have another Aqua/Magma going with Aether/Skull. In one game Skull is good and Aether is evil, and vice versa the other game. This would of explain the version differences for UB-02; Beauty is Aether(Lusamine), and Expansion could be Skull (that parts a guess because I can’t figure out who it is).

He’s said to be a synthetic Pokemon, probably created through gene splicing. He’s listed as a Pokemon on the Japanese and English official sites, UB-01 isn’t.

That remain’s to be scene. They could easily be pulling a Brock on us, having an old character return after the first few episodes, like they did with Sinnoh I think. I know they did it once in the anime. That, and it seems like an odd choice to remove her. They redesigned the character to likely make her their own version so they could easily reuse her in the future, and really given how things are framed, it doesn’t seem likely that Mallow will join ash.
I could actually see that happening since 2017 is the anime’s 20th anniversary. I could see the likes of Brock, Misty, May, Max, Iris, Dawn etc all returning in a 1-hour special or something
That could happen, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it did. I just simply mean that we have one promo image and a few stills of what likely is the first episode to go off of. We have no idea who’s going to be going with ash on his journey, and its best we just wait and see before we start cheering that they removed a character you didn’t like, or booing that Ash’s companion isn’t the person you wanted.

Leakers add fake stuff so they aren’t caught. And the chinese leak that got stuff right is confirming synchros
Artleaka also said that there were only four totem Pokemon, which we know is false, since Alolan Raticate is also a totem. Much as I’d like those designs to be real, they’re pretty much confirmed fake by Rugarugan.

Meh I dont think they’re gonna do, what you probably have in mind. Maybe a soft reset so that Ash isn’t too powerful right at the start, but thats it. They can’t justify a complete reset after the Kalos league and TF arc.
