Translations:
- NEW Rockruff’s evolution’s forms are version exclusive
- NEW Day Rugarugan’s signature move is called Accelerock (or Accel Rock) which is a priority move described as “a flashing strike”
- NEW Night Rugarugan’s signature move is Counter which is glamorized with the flavor text “a fierce strikeback”
- NEW It seems these are not simple day/night evolutions but are a reflection of the powers that reside in Alola; Solgaleo in Pokémon Sun (Midday form) and Lunaala in Pokémon Moon (Midnight form)
- Rockruff’s evolution is called Rugarugan (ルガルガン). CoroCoro is very vague on Rugarugan, though it appears that it may change form during day and night, and it is not simply a split evolution.
- Two new Ultra Beasts are revealed, UB02 Beauty (shown in Pokémon Moon) and UB02 Expansion (shown in Pokémon Sun)
- The new anime series is called Pokemon: Sun & Moon and will start in November. Since there is no league in the Alola Region Ash’s goal in this season will be to graduate from school.
- Next month’s issue will reveal the true strength of Type: Null

With the UB-Expansion fighting Tapu Koko, what if Aether are trying to get rid of the island guardians and turn all the other 4 islands into an artificial “paradise”, with the UBs subbing in for “guardians”
I mean UB -01’s name hasn’t been revealed yet which makes me think that it was the first one and subsequently, the Aether Foundation used it’s DNA or whatever and artificially created Beauty & Expansion
That would be cool , however I’m starting to think that tapu koko is unique , and that we won’t get other totem pokemon….
I believe there was a statement that each island has a guardian deity.

they changed the style of the anime its so obvious, no finger nails, diferent eye, simplified edges, we all saw this style on other animes before and it was never good..I just hope the animation is good.

For Rockruff’s evo, taken from Serebii:
“It notes that Rockruff becomes the Day form when bathed in the rays of the sun and when full of the night’s power, it becomes the Night form.”
Couldn’t this also mean that it may not be a spilt evo depending on the time of the 24 hour period you evolve it, but rather it could mean that during the day it looks one way and at night it has a different forme?
I prefer formes tbh because I hate having to choose which one I’m going to stick with on my main team and which I’m just going to store…

If the translation is correct Rockruff’s evolution changes appearance based on time of day instead of being a straight evolution? That could be pretty cool actually, I am a fan of the day time appearance but would be awesome for when the moon comes out he transforms.

Pokemon Go is a separate entity from the main games. Technically it’s not even made by Pokemon, but by Niantic, I very much doubt it will be compatible with the main series games.
It was already confirmed by Masuda that GO would eventually be compatible with Sun and Moon

The chinese leaker said Marshadow has a unique type combination. it’s called Type: null and can’t be simply a normal type, what do you need more. I think we were all wrong thinking marshadow as the third legendary pokemon in the trio. It may simply be something like Rotom or Heatran…
Well there are theories that Type: Null was an experiment meant to be an artificial Arceus. Even the collar at the base of the helmet is shaped like the arc thing on Arceus’ body. And the whole story with how the helmet it wears restrains its true power… I wanna know EVERYTHING about this pokemon!

Meh, I applaud them for trying something new and refreshing. Plus, Black and White was a ratings juggernaut and the anime needs a saving grace.
They did not implement Best Wishes properly and I don’t really think a saving grace will really win me over after hearing about the Kalos finals debacle. The “anime” (in my not so humble opinion) needs a complete do over.
You all talk about the Pokémon anime like it was ever really good. It’s a kids show. Talk to me when they finally decide to make an actual series that’s as mature as Pokémon Origins.
Truth. I stopped watching the anime 19 years ago. Team Rocket and Ash’s utter ineptitude turned me away from the show and I focused on the comics and games.
Exactly. Like it’s definitely capable of being endearing at times, but it tries way too hard to be exclusively for its targeted demographic. I can really enjoy a “kids” show like Steven Universe or Adventure Time when it isn’t afraid to explore darker themes through the more innocent/naive lens of a young protagonist. But Pokémon is very blatantly just a kids show and nothing more.
Nah, being a show for children is not a jail free card for kid’s entertainment. The creators just did not give a rat’s ass. Besides mindless fodder like this are doing children a huge dis-service.

In regards to the starter forms if correct and assuming they have Day and Night formes, I think Littens was night, Rowlets was Night and Popplios was day- but I guess you can make a case for both. Also its intreaguing to think how they can differentiate the formes without slapping on a dark typing
