Translations:
- NEW Rockruff’s evolution’s forms are version exclusive
- NEW Day Rugarugan’s signature move is called Accelerock (or Accel Rock) which is a priority move described as “a flashing strike”
- NEW Night Rugarugan’s signature move is Counter which is glamorized with the flavor text “a fierce strikeback”
- NEW It seems these are not simple day/night evolutions but are a reflection of the powers that reside in Alola; Solgaleo in Pokémon Sun (Midday form) and Lunaala in Pokémon Moon (Midnight form)
- Rockruff’s evolution is called Rugarugan (ルガルガン). CoroCoro is very vague on Rugarugan, though it appears that it may change form during day and night, and it is not simply a split evolution.
- Two new Ultra Beasts are revealed, UB02 Beauty (shown in Pokémon Moon) and UB02 Expansion (shown in Pokémon Sun)
- The new anime series is called Pokemon: Sun & Moon and will start in November. Since there is no league in the Alola Region Ash’s goal in this season will be to graduate from school.
- Next month’s issue will reveal the true strength of Type: Null

This is the first disapointment in the sun and moon series.
I dont know how the explain myself but….. i really.. really dont like it.
Rockruff’s evolutions share the same name, but are a different typing depending on whether it evolves during the day. or during the night.
I don’t like Rugarugan’s night form btw, it looks pretty much like Zoroark.
This may sound very very weird but I think I prefer Day Form
I do too, it’s like finally we’re getting a real wolf Pokémon.
The day one looks more natural.
The night one is weird as hell.

It’s too gangly and thin
It’d like the tail back and a bit of thickness in the limbs
I really wanted a werewolf Pokémon but the colour scheme seems weird. It would look so much better if it was black/grey and brown to contrast the white and brown of the day form.

The water trial captain is sitting on … A motorcycle ? Or is that a Pokemon?
And what is on top of Charizard is the top left corner?
The fire trial captain with Alolan Marowak and the water one is on the Lapras sitting thing.
I guess you are right but the angles for Lapras and the spikes behind the fire guy made me do a double take

I had hopes of him bringing Greninja, but it was more of a dream rather than expectation.
Greninja would be too powerful early on in a region.
Remember gen 2 when he took Charizard to Johto, that didn’t end well for anyone so they had to do a release episode.
Also they need marketing for the new generation, Greninja would overshadow that

They always change the art style so I wouldn’t use that as an indication of his age.
Also a reset to his skill is possible, but I hope not a complete reset like Unova was.

I don’t think the two Rockruff evolutions are considered different Pokemon, so it could work for the starters as well.
In all my years as a fan Ive never disliked anything until i just saw how Ash could look in the anime

I think it’s interesting how this year in terms of news they’re kind of focusing the spotlight on a couple new ones instead of showing everything like in sixth gen. Unless of course they’ve shown us everthing once again and we’ll all be disappointed.
I believe there are five UB… We still need the Starter Evo and their split sun and moon evo and a few more evos.

Naah I don’t think so , maybe dark/rock , and rock/normal so they both have 4 times weakness to fighting.
They don’t usually make split evolutions equal in terms of weaknesses.
Normal adds very little to the Pokemon anyway. Dark/Fairy would make more sense, but I don’t want it to be Fairy

Day form has nothing that would justify being a Fairy. Pure rock would suffice.
technically fairy is light type in japan so if you wanted light type it would most likely be rock.fairy (day form) and rock/dark(night form)
