Translations:
- NEW Rockruff’s evolution’s forms are version exclusive
- NEW Day Rugarugan’s signature move is called Accelerock (or Accel Rock) which is a priority move described as “a flashing strike”
- NEW Night Rugarugan’s signature move is Counter which is glamorized with the flavor text “a fierce strikeback”
- NEW It seems these are not simple day/night evolutions but are a reflection of the powers that reside in Alola; Solgaleo in Pokémon Sun (Midday form) and Lunaala in Pokémon Moon (Midnight form)
- Rockruff’s evolution is called Rugarugan (ルガルガン). CoroCoro is very vague on Rugarugan, though it appears that it may change form during day and night, and it is not simply a split evolution.
- Two new Ultra Beasts are revealed, UB02 Beauty (shown in Pokémon Moon) and UB02 Expansion (shown in Pokémon Sun)
- The new anime series is called Pokemon: Sun & Moon and will start in November. Since there is no league in the Alola Region Ash’s goal in this season will be to graduate from school.
- Next month’s issue will reveal the true strength of Type: Null

I just had a crazy theory…what if Missingno becomes an Ultra Beast? Think about it: they’re so clearly pandering to all things Gen I right now (which I don’t really have a problem with), and they’ve shown through the eshop ports that they embrace Missingno, as they didn’t alter the games to remove it. I think it would be a cool nod if they included Missingno in some way, at least.

Is this a hint to Mega Evolution? So far, Megas have been described as the true potential of certain Pokémon. Is this a tease for the re-incorporation of Megas in the story? I wouldn’t mind at all. I love Megas and Type: Null definitely needs something more, appearance wise, to truly pass as a powerful Pokémon like it has be teased. Maybe with the Mega, the helmet comes off xD

Maybe just my overthinking but according to serebii “Ash is going to school and his goal is to graduate”……I have a crazy Idea about that wat if his Alola journey had been started before Kalos one…I mean look at Ash he seems younger.
Ash always looks younger when he starts a new journey. Its what they have been doing since gen 3.
Ash looks more mature in Kalos.
I hope they don’t pull the same thing like they did with Episode 2 of Season 2 of XY and that Sucked terribly!

I don’t know if it’s because they are something new and different, not being human nor pokémon, but these “Ultra-Beasts” terrify and amaze me. Honestly, I think the most terrifying thing about UB-01 is that it has no face, like, literally, no emotion whatsoever; as far as I’ve read, we humans tend to dislike things that resemble living beings but have no expression, like masks. UB-B2 has a very malicious look (and description), and if that red stuff in UB-E2 is actually supposed to be blood – hence the mosquito motif, then that thing is disgustingly awesome! (and I can only wonder where that blood came from….)
Official Pokemon channel has uploaded the first episode of Origins. They’re really throwing this gen 1 nostalgia at us.

I’ve never saw how lazy GF has made us I started playing Yellow on the 3ds (I forgot I had bought it awhile back lol) but man to do anything even use HMs you have to open the pause menu.

So, I thought that you should be able join a team in S/M and it impacts the story, you could be Aether, Skull, or Neutral. It adds the Team loyalty concept from Go which keeps people playing. Someone’s bio would say #teaminstinct #teamskull and such. So I made a rough sketch of what a Conquer Mode would look like. It is where you are on your team that you chose during the story and fight for the loyalty of the Alola region. Just an idea I had to draw/share. It is like gyms, but a world effort conquer-style game where you have to fight to claim land/ loyalty from Alola citizens.
I know, it’s probably not going to happen… but what if it did?
So you have to try to get the loyalty of all Alola, the borders of team lands are constantly changing, and you have to battle to defend/claim more land.
Maybe with Pokemon Conquest 2. 😀

How it can relate to the plot of SM?
Maybe Aether is trying to bring “useless” creatures up to par with humans by splicing their DNA together.

oh yes they are. one of the beaches near me have this jellyfish season where you cannot swim at all because they are all over the ocean and when the season is over literally thousand of them appear dead on the shore

Ok so I have a few questions: does Rockruff’s evo’s form depend on when it evolves, or does it just matter what time of day it is? And, not to be that guy, but are we sure there isn’t another page? I mean, in comparision to what CoroCoro has given us lately, this isn’t much.

It’s confirmed that the Rockruff receives a different form depending on the time of day it evolves. This statement implies that it receives a permanent form, rather than a periodically changing one. There may be a way to alter the form post-evolution, but it would most likely be player-controlled rather than time-based.
Thankfully, that picture of Team Rocket has me relieved they won’t be ruined like BW did.

I’m a dark man too… My two favorite types are Dark and Ice, with Fire coming in third. But, I like variety on my teams, and I have Rockruff and Litten together. I’m hoping Litten’s final evolution will be Fire/Dark, and if the night evolution of Rockruff turns Rock/Dark I’ll go with day. But I still am not 100% decided yet…
My favorite types are Dark, Fire and ghost …Dragon oming in 2nd place…..even if Litten end Fire/Dark I will chose this pkmn.
I wait until after I beat the game, then I create a “whatever” team which is usually the starter and a bunch of Pokemon of my favorite types.

Currently I’m leaning towards day… But, if the night one becomes Rock/Dark (and Litten doesn’t become a Fire/Dark type) I could be swayed towards the night evolution.
