With the latest Pokémon Sun & Moon information, we can now say that the rumors seem to be true. Not only the Poké Riding, but at least with the leaked Starter Evolutions we can clearly see one of the Trial Captains in the art, and the final evolution of Litten is probably holding two of its middle evolutions.

4chan Rumor

For now these are going to be de-confirmed since a number of Pokémon listed appear not to be getting an Alolan form

  • The anime’s Ash-Greninja will appear in the game
  • Alolan Rattata & Raticate are Dark-type
  • Alolan Butterfree is Bug/Psychic
  • Alolan Abra, Kadabra & Alakazam are Fighting-type
  • Alolan Nidoking & Nidoqueen are Poison/Fighting-type
  • Alolan Growlithe & Arcanine are Water-type
  • Alolan Doduo & Dodrio are Fighting/Flying-type
  • The previous versions of Pokémon which have taken on new forms will only be accessible by bringing in from older games
  • Furfrou gets new styles
  • New cat Pokémon varies in type and appearance based on breeding
  • There is a new snowman Pokémon line with two stages and it is Ice/Ghost
  • Not to get hopes up, but there may be two final evolutions for each starter

Chinese Rumor

  • There will be no traditional Gyms and no Pokémon League in Alola. Your goal is to actually create one. After you do, an Elite 4 will appear which are the leaders of each island
  • The final starter evolutions will be an Archer, a Wrestler and a Siren
  • The diamond stones will be collectible throughout the region and act similarly to Mega Stones but not exactly
  • New Pokémon based on a dolphin, sea cucumber, snowman, mushroom and a rugby monkey are there
  • Rockruff’s evolution is a Werewolf
  • Mashadow, another copyrighted Pokémon name, has a very unique type combo

    • Looks like a new Pokeball launcher, maybe for either Sun and Moon, Pokemon GO, or the remake of Diamond and Pearl for the NX.

  4. New styles for my #1 favorite Pokemon, Furfrou?! O, Frabjous Day…! Please let that be true. I love canine Pokemon, and am really interested in the new feline ones as well. Was wondering what cute little Rockruff would evolve into. 😮 Pretty excited about the apparent mushroom (related to Foongus & Amoonguss at all??) snowmen, sea cucumber (lol…Kevin?), & dolphin, too.

    Oh, boy, those starter evolutions. Litten is easily my favorite of the starters, but I don’t like its evolution. Rowlet’s is cool, but Popplio’s is my favorite. However, it’s strange to consider such a feminine merseal thing evolving from a Pokemon who instantly reminded me of Stefano from Madagascar 3. o.O

    It’s cool how some of the Alolan forms of 1st-gen Pokes evolved into “opposite” types from the original forms. I’m especially in love with the Ice ones revealed–ESPECIALLY the beautiful Ninetales and Vulpix, as those are two of my all-time favorites in the first place. And Ice is just so pretty. Exeggutor has always been another G1 fave, and its hyper-longnecked form is, um…cute? Hey, long as it serves its evolutionary purpose. ;p

  5. BIG Scoop (SPOILERS:)

    some new leaks have been given about the 12th August video (credit going to Reddit)

    So, that new trailer on the 12th is going to reveal anywhere between 2-5 new Alolan Pokemon forms. The Pokémon I do know that are confirmed are: Marowak, getting Ground and Fire, and Arcanine getting Dragon and Water.
    The starter’s evolutions will be shown, the names are Robingroot, Panthster, and Entermaid, (yes those Chinese leaks are real).
    7 new Pokémon will be revealed, including a dolphin Pokémon, Rockruff’s evolution, and a new guardian deity Pokémon.
    Mega Evolution will be returning.

    Also Middle evos for the starter names:

    Grottowl and Felithe and Searen – THe themes are British Folklore – Robin Hood, Ogre and Mermaid. Also new Alolan forms for Poliwrath and Politoed. Leak also says islands names are Akele, Ula Ula and Poni Island. AND MARSHADOW IS GHOST / FIRE.

    Marowak: Fire/Ground. Slowbro: Pure Dragon. Poliwrath: Fire/Fighting Golem: Rock/Fire Doduo, Dodrio: Flying/Fighting.Abra evolutions: Psychic/Fighting. Onix: Ice/Steel. Vileplume: Grass/Fire.

  6. So this is the starters thus far (not 100% Confirmed) excluding what Felithe and Searen would look like. But the description for this so-called fake Owl Pokemon who’s the mid evolution of Rowlet, Grottowl, does seem to fit the description of it being a barn owl with green wings. Though official or not, we’ll have to wait until the 12th Augest.

  8. I have to say if these are indeed our final evolutions they are really growing on me. instantly loved rowlets and littens is really growing on me as well as poplios slowly growing on me.

  12. i dont know which version of the game i should get because apparently time works differently in both versions and also what if there are some pokemon which are only exclusive to one game.

  13. i dont really think there was a need to make exeggutor a dragon and grass because now it is 4x weak against ice type. Also i dont see what aspect of the alolan form adds the impact of a dragon. But then again game freak do base their dragon types off of dinosaurs like tyrantrum (T-rex) and exxegutor looks like a diplodocus so i guess that accounts for its typing. With the new form the def and sp def stats are raised considerably to compensate for the lack of speed but the moveset hasn’t changed overall apart from the new Z-move which is available for every type. So in my opinion, it’s not the best pokemon to have in your team but it does look really funny and so i won’t hate.

    I can’t remember where, but didn’t they already say if you bring a Pokemon with an Alolan form into the new games it will keep its old form?

    Plus, it wouldn’t make sense for the Alolan forms to only be obtainable by bringing them in to Sun and Moon since Alolan form Pokemon are supposed to have adapted to conditions in Alola over time, so Alolan form Pokemon should be native to the region.

      • Sorry to burst your bubble but that’s because it’s a Kanto Meowth cause the player’s family just moved in from Kanto.

        • Yeah, but the point is: we have saw Meowth first in its “Normal” Form, then in its Alolan one.
          It could happen the same with Arcanine, ’cause the developers can obviously decide what things show.

          • Perhaps you could be right, though they’ve covered up pretty much every pokemon with an alolan form from their pics and trailers. When they show an alolan pokemon they casually haven’t showed it’s normal form in a battle before they premiered it. And it’s would be more than logical if that specific Meowth was their house pet and they took it with them in when they moved to Alola. Arcanine might have a chance of having an Alolan form but i highly doubt it due to consistencies they’re doing with the pokemons that don’t have Alolan forms and the ones that do but let’s leave it at that for now it’s just a waiting game to see which pokemons do and don’t have alolan forms.

  25. Pikipek is confirmed 731, so the starters can’t have 2 evolutions each at the end, as Volcanion is 721, so Rowlett is 722, making evolution 1 723, and final evolution 724, Litten is 725, so it takes up 726 and 727 and Popplio is 728, making up 729 and 730, so theres no room for them all to have a second evolution.
