The November issue of CoroCoro has leaked and officially revealed/confirmed some Mega Evolutions, the starter’s final evolutions, and more!
Mega Evolutions
- Mega Gengar – Not an exclusive, gains the ability Shadow Tag but keeps its typing
- Mega Aggron – Exclusive to Y, becomes pure Steel-type and gains the ability Filter
- Mega Tyranitar – Exclusive to X and keeps the ability Sand Storm as well as its original typing
Garchomp Serial Code
In next month’s issue of CoroCoro there’ll be a serial code that will give you access to their special Garchomp. This Garchomp holds a Dragon Fang, knows Crunch, Dragon Claw, Dig and Draco Meteor. The location of its Mega Stone will also be revealed in the next issue – that is, if we don’t find it first.

- Mega Pinsir – Bug/Flying-type and has the ability Aerilate which turns Normal-type moves into Flying-type moves, X exclusive
- Mega Heracross – Stays Bug/Fighting, has the ability Skill Link, Y exclusive
- Mega Banette – Stays pure Ghost-type and has the ability Prankster
- Mega Medicham – Stays Fighting/Psychic and has the ability Pure power
Apparently at some point in the game Professor Sycamore will upgrade your Mega Ring so that it can detect hidden Mega Stones. They are only detectable, however, between 8pm and 9pm.

Seeing so may people have it makes feel worse about having to wait another day of school and 12 hours : Wish I could go into hibernation and wake up ready to get it!
Far surpassed my expectations! I was secretly worried that the game wouldn’t feel smooth but i have never been so wrong!! I chose Froakie and i have so far got 1 badge and it’s now a Frogadier. No other team members yet but gonna get another soon. Already have my team planned out 😀 Try to keep positive…i had my games delivered this morning and literally had to got to work 2 minutes later for 8 hours! It was torture.
In my math class my teacher is always saying,”you need to solve for X and Y.” Can you guess what I think of? XD Can’t wait! Have you gotten to Lumiose yet? I’ve seen a few scenes and it looks AMAZING! How are the 3D effects in battle?

I have a question for anyone who has the game already – How big is the map compared to other gens?? IMO gen 4’s was bigger than gen 5 since you had to go all the way up to Snowpoint then go all the way back down. Whereas gen 5 was just a big roundabout XD
It’s similar to the Gen 5 system in that it all centers around Lumiose city and you circle around it but its the biggest region in terms of amount of cities and places.
How is the music so far? better than BW2?
BEST MUSIC! It’s orchestral now and you can really tell the difference, every route and city sounds unique. My favourite music so far is the Gym Leader theme. EPIC!

If it’s not in one of those 20 pages, then I’ll be disappointed. It is Mawile’s counterpart and GF is going nuts with Sableye distributions!

They’re not. Just like how Seviper and Zangoose aren’t. I’m so glad! I was afraid that Mawile would be exclusive to X and have to get it in a trade since I’m getting Y.

I still can’t understand why they made Mawile’s evolution as a mega one instead of a normal one! It looks epic, but it’s just temporary, I don’t like the concept, specially with Pokémon who could perfectly evolve normally. The same goes with Sableye if he ends up getting one. Megas (I still wouldn’t be a fan, but it would be much better) should only exist for 3-staged Pokémon families and legendaries.
I think it’s even more awesome when 1 stage Pokémon get Megas (except Kangaskhan, kinda dissappointed about her Mega). Reminds me of Warp Devolution from Digimon.
With these artworks, I’m kind of split between Delphox and Greninja. I think I’ll still go with Froakie, though, because ingame I still prefer Greninja (but as far as these artworks are concerned, I may prefer Delphox). I may end up choosing Fennekin because it has a major advantage, I can have my loyal Bombeiro (Blastoise)! I don’t know, when I play, I’ll see. Still not a fan of Chesnaught, though, something about its face.
