The November issue of CoroCoro has leaked and officially revealed/confirmed some Mega Evolutions, the starter’s final evolutions, and more!
Mega Evolutions
- Mega Gengar – Not an exclusive, gains the ability Shadow Tag but keeps its typing
- Mega Aggron – Exclusive to Y, becomes pure Steel-type and gains the ability Filter
- Mega Tyranitar – Exclusive to X and keeps the ability Sand Storm as well as its original typing
Garchomp Serial Code
In next month’s issue of CoroCoro there’ll be a serial code that will give you access to their special Garchomp. This Garchomp holds a Dragon Fang, knows Crunch, Dragon Claw, Dig and Draco Meteor. The location of its Mega Stone will also be revealed in the next issue – that is, if we don’t find it first.

- Mega Pinsir – Bug/Flying-type and has the ability Aerilate which turns Normal-type moves into Flying-type moves, X exclusive
- Mega Heracross – Stays Bug/Fighting, has the ability Skill Link, Y exclusive
- Mega Banette – Stays pure Ghost-type and has the ability Prankster
- Mega Medicham – Stays Fighting/Psychic and has the ability Pure power
Apparently at some point in the game Professor Sycamore will upgrade your Mega Ring so that it can detect hidden Mega Stones. They are only detectable, however, between 8pm and 9pm.

I kinda see where Fen is coming. Its a horrible decision to give anyone money over the internet, especially a random stranger. These games aren’t a necessaity. If anything you can wait until you earn 40 dollars in the upcoming week to get it. You don’t need it on the release date. Priorities need to be thought of. This game isn’t the most important thing. Its a leisure.

If A, then you can wait a week or two and put aside forty dollars (or your countries equivalent) from your next paycheck to buy the game.
If B, then you’re either underage or you don’t have to pay bills. Underage: Ask your parents. You should be asking for money from strangers, anyway. If you’re over 18 I would suggest giving things like plasma or labor (yard work, etc) for cash.

You know, we sure are seeing several abilities that are changing Normal type moves into another element. I wonder what others might get this type of ability. And, yeah, couldn’t get on all day, but yeah, bit mixed feelings. I rather like Mega Tyranitar, but I’d like to see what kind of boost he gets, because keeping Sand Stream is disappointing, especially when something like Filter was EXACTLY what I was hoping he would get, and they give that to Aggron instead. I guess on the plus side, I’m warming up to Greninja now, the official art actually helps it a lot for me, so maybe I’ll use it after all. We’ll see.
Not only abilities but moves as well. We’re seeing that a lot this gen so I kind of hope all types have a move or ability like that.

Well nerfing weathers will limit the use of abilities like what Mega Garchomp got. But as a ability for Mega Tyranitar, it’s kinda unfair since most got different abilities, even his co-pseudo Garchomp got a bad ass ability. :'(

Fire Blast, Thunder, Blizzard, Hurricane, Ice Beam, Flamethrower and Thunderbolt are nerfed now
Yeah, I know, I’ve seen the moves have been reduced in power. Doesn’t really have anything to do with this though, at least, three of those moves are kind of weather dependent, but otherwise.
If Hydro Pump is on that list, which I’m guessing less worrying about Keldeo

What’s odd is that Moon Blast is still 95 BP 100 ACC…
And can lower the Special Attack of the opponent.

Yeah, I know. Because that means right now, there are attacks, also with Pixelate, that can abuse Xerneas Fairy Aura, but not for Yveltal’s Dark Aura.
Hoping that Night Daze is jacked up to 90~95 BP and 100 Acc and is more widely distributed or Dark Pulse
That would be a nice trade off I guess, yeah. It would actually help Zoroark too, so it could run Night Daze and maybe maintain it’s illusion if Night Daze is a move more Pokemon can learn. Sadly, I think this has a very very low chance of happening.

It appears to be showcasing the unique moves that the final starter evos get. Also, I love how Sugimori’s art of Dragalge makes it look like a Z!
I guess it is move Spiky Shield but I felt excited that it seems to have very unique animation involving the 3d model of Pokemon itself.
I recall that in past 3D Pokémon games many Pokémon had unique animations for defensive moves like Protect and defence curl. They could well be implementing the same thing here

This might me my favorite Mega so far!!!
It’s design definitely stands out. The concept is very clear rather than adding on needless embellishments that detract from the pokemon’s charm. The extras zippers running down its face and arms, along with those eerie hands completely enhances Banette’s design! It’s a 10 in my book.
Yeah…it’s not just spiky or bigger or hairier or tentaclier (if it’s a word). It’s so unique…..I love it!

Either X and Y are happening at the same time as Unova. That being said. I think Black and white took place a few years after D/P. So I would say maybe 3 or 4 years after D/P. If X and Y take place after BW2 then it would be 5 or 6 years. For an adult male, age wouldn’t look that much different from 3 to 6 years

Possibly. Though I expect XY to be taking 3-6 years after the events of BW. Give or take a few years. I think most subsequent generations are a couple of years ahead in the timeline than the preceeding one.

Mega Aggron looks pretty dang cool; glad I’m getting Y. Still not completely sold on MegaTyranitar; I like the torso design but I’m not sure about its head
