The November issue of CoroCoro has leaked and officially revealed/confirmed some Mega Evolutions, the starter’s final evolutions, and more!
Mega Evolutions
- Mega Gengar – Not an exclusive, gains the ability Shadow Tag but keeps its typing
- Mega Aggron – Exclusive to Y, becomes pure Steel-type and gains the ability Filter
- Mega Tyranitar – Exclusive to X and keeps the ability Sand Storm as well as its original typing
Garchomp Serial Code
In next month’s issue of CoroCoro there’ll be a serial code that will give you access to their special Garchomp. This Garchomp holds a Dragon Fang, knows Crunch, Dragon Claw, Dig and Draco Meteor. The location of its Mega Stone will also be revealed in the next issue – that is, if we don’t find it first.

- Mega Pinsir – Bug/Flying-type and has the ability Aerilate which turns Normal-type moves into Flying-type moves, X exclusive
- Mega Heracross – Stays Bug/Fighting, has the ability Skill Link, Y exclusive
- Mega Banette – Stays pure Ghost-type and has the ability Prankster
- Mega Medicham – Stays Fighting/Psychic and has the ability Pure power
Apparently at some point in the game Professor Sycamore will upgrade your Mega Ring so that it can detect hidden Mega Stones. They are only detectable, however, between 8pm and 9pm.

alright! I just re-conquered the hoenn frontier again before I get the game at tomorrow’s midnight launch! I used a ludicolo, ninetales salamence and a regice that ive been raising all week! the battle palace sucks. it just… sucks.
Last week, I turned on my Emerald and saw that the internal battery had run dry. I considered this as a transition into a new era, so to speak, because that was my first Pokemon game.
Mine ran out earlier. It was very saddening 🙁
And when I booted up my file, I was in Verdanturf Town with it’s nostalgic music, and I just about teared up!
Oh gosh, I wonder if mine still works. I don’t have a DS/Gameboy, so I don’t know…man, memories! My first was LeafGreen, followed by Emerald….loved green back then….

can someone explain super training to me? If I set my Pokemons Ev to 0 wouldn’t that mean its nature no longer matters and I’v breeding was useless?
It’s basically an easier way to train EVs without being invested in the metagame.

It’s just GameFreak trying to get more people into the competitive field. It’s completely optional, though. You can train your Pokemon just like you would in any game.
I highly recommend it. It’ll make you stronger in the end.

Greninja- Sp. Attack and Speed
Venusaur- Sp. Attack, Defense, Sp. Defense
Chandelure- Sp. Attack, Speed
Hawlucha- Attack, Speed
Tyrantrum- Attack, Defense, tiny bit of Speed
Heliolisk- Sp. Attack, Attack, Speed

Resetting EVs to zero allows you to get rid of the unwanted EVs that you’ve gathered during your adventure, thus allowing you to properly train your Pokemon in the stats you want.

Yeah, 250 EV’s total, I think. So you’d want to put them into the most useful stats for said Pokemon, moveset, ect….of course, if your only a casual player, you probably won’t worry about it too much.
Yes, the limit is 510. 255 max per stat.

A Pokemon can have a max of 510 EVs. Each stat however can only have a max of 252 EVs. Each Pokemon you face gives off a certain EV. For example, defeating one Purrloin gives you 1 EV in Speed. For every 4 EVs you gain for a stat, you get an additional point on that stat.
So now EV training is basically training your Pokemon in a way that it will excel. For example, Breloom has an amazing Attack stat. Its Special Attack is useless, but if during my journey I fought Pokemon that gave me EVs in Special Attack, I can now get rid of those EVs so they don’t affect my total. I can also now train it in the stats I want, like Attack.

My mini review:
Well..first of all I can’t believe that 10 months ago XY were announced. It was so long ago and right now I feel as if it lasts like 2 weeks. Ok, now seriously. Kalos is beautifull. The Map, the backgrounds, the buildings are just a-ma-zaing and I can truly say that XY are the most beautifull Pokemon games ever. They are totally different, and it take time to get used to it but it’s new generation of pokemon games. All we need to do is just play the wonderfull story like we did 15 years ago. I’m 24 so I remember every Pokemon game premiere but I’ve never been so excited as I am now.
Some Details:
the PSS function is wonderfull. I feel as if I were connected to real social media server which is totally alive and you can really feel as if you were playing with friends in the same room. It’s great, you can battle, you can trade, you can appreciate your friend anytime and what is more amazing you see EVERY FUCKIN BODY FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD who is actually playing pokemon games. The feeling is breathtaking, so f.e I met over 5K people just today.
The single player mode:
Lots of pokemon, lots of pokemon everywhere. I can’t decide which pokemon I’m gonna train because there is soooo many of them right now. Te new ones, the old ones – each model looks beautifull.
The plot is wonderfully created. I don’t wanna spoil anything so I will only say that it’s all about MegaEvos. And it’s great because as Serena and Xavier as I’m learning about this new phenomena. Awesome!
I like the music but this is not this kind of review so I will skip the music.
What’s most amazing is the fact that the world of Kalos is so goddamn big and there is so many to do in this game that AFTER 12h of game I’M STILL BEFORE THE SECOND BADGE. For real, this is not a joke. My friends got the almost same situation. The time stops when you are entering the worild of 6th generation pokemon game.
