The pictures above purport to be from a review copy of Pokémon X. As you can see, they claim that this is the final evolution of Froakie, Greninja, and a new Flying/Fighting-type Pokémon called Hawlucha. The latter Pokémon also has a new Fighting-type attack called Flying Press.
UPD2: A new image has surfaced claiming to show the final evolution of Chespin from behind. This is from a different person than the person who posted Greninja & Hawlucha. UPD: Confirmed fake
The poster also mentioned that XP is also much easier to earn and that entire parties will get some from battles with the use of EXP Share, a key item found early in the game. He also mentioned that XY only introduce around 70 new Pokémon. He also said that there barely is any endgame, with you only being able to catch Mewtwo and the Z legendary.
UPD1: A new Pokémon has supposedly been photographed. No other details are currently known. Remember, we do not know if these Pokémon are real or fake, so please don’t consider them as either until they are proven one or the other.
UPD3: We broke the site record for most visits in one day! Also, be wary of all the ‘leaks’ out there, there are so much (blatant) fakes going around that the legit leaks may get lost in it!

Why the f**k do Froakie and Fennekin keep getting the “leaked” evolutions? We got the Froakie evolution with the dark spots (confirmed fake), the one here with the tongue scarf. We got the Fennekin evolution with the stick (confirmed fake), and one posted in the comments here with a witch hat. Gimme a Chespin final evolution people!!!

I don’t care if the pictures above are real or fake (heck, I’m all for them being real). But I know for certain the text is incorrect. I read an interview in which Masuda said there would be over 750 Pokemon total. And, don’t quote me on this but, I believe I read him saying there was a massive endgame.
The text could be a coverup after she realised that there was an embargo.

I don’t know what happened to my other comment, I am not insulting you, so don’t worry. I was commenting about the “leaker.” Is it really worth it to get into legal trouble in order to satisfy the pokemon community’s insatiable thirst for leaks? If Game freak wants us to relieve the red and blue days and really hype us up, then we need to respect that. They are the ones that make and provide us with these awesome games. We are being entitled and just plain being pieces of ungrateful poopies.

My Theory is, people like to troll others, so making some amazing fakes seems to be a good idea for example my brother photo shopped a perfect looking shiny into a battle of Tauros, Just saying its easy to use photo shop if you have the skill…

This is even more fake. Remember Froakie is the Bubble Frog Pokémon. It’s evolutions should keep that trait. I doubt Froakie would lose it. Also, Masuda said there will be lots of Pokémon Also, a large post-game. So, these rumors really are fake. (The bird looks awful too).

Well, it certainly makes things interesting. This person was leaking images on Pokebeach forums of things we’ve never seen before, giving a lot of credibility. When these images went viral, he backtracked and said they’re all photoshopped.
Someone on neogafs then said: “For what it’s worth, I checked the images with one of those jpeg compression analyzer things, and there wasn’t any kind of weird distortion around the pokemons (or anywhere else, for that matter).Our leaker here would have to be a pretty damn good photoshopper if these were indeed fake, since I can’t find any weird parts in the images and the style of the pokemon matches the official pokes’ looks’, not to mention that the blurriness of the pokes seems to match that of the background elements.”
Now this leaker has deleted all of his pictures. And WPM said his IP is from Italy.
I think these were legit, and the leaker was afraid of getting caught by Nintendo. Gah, and just when we were so close to seeing Chespin’s final evolution.
Not to mention that the person who commented on PokeBeach does not have much credibility to begin with. Why would somebody who is not already famous be posting such amazing Photoshops and expect people to believe them?

1) Someone gets an advance copy of the game (either review etc) 2) That someone decides to leak information, mostly for attention 3) That’s it 😀

I actually really like the Luchador Hawk. The anemone thing and the froakie evolution don’t appeal to me as much and the number of new pokemon is seriously disappointing if true, but I’d be happy if the hawk were real. The only downside is that despite being a luchador, it doesn’t look quite enough like Strong Bad for me to get away with nicknaming one that.

Even though that new deep sea tube pokemon is something that I would find as a interesting pokemon, the style and basically everything is off, I’m not talking about how the designs on Emboar looked off, I’m saying one look and I’m like yup.. That’s clearly fake.
I will admit Hawlucha’s design is similar to a normal Sugimori style.

This is probably the most compelling argument as to why they’re fake. Kudos to you, dude.
That being said, making small changes like the text is totally plausible. Especially since that picture is from so early in the XY era. And I remember in pre-BW they showed a trailer a week or two before the release of the game that had stuff that was completely changed when the game actually came out.
Yeah, I remember that Excadrill was actually an outright different color in trailers than it was in the final game.
Exactly. Another one I remember is that the female protag in BW was wearing a big wintercoat when she was shown walking around in the snow.

Hmm… This is pretty damning evidence, but things have been known to change over the months. This was a pretty early screenshot. Remember how the first Platinum screenshot had a completely different Giratina sprite to what was in the final version?
Sorry, but the ‘A’ WAS changed, perhaps because it resembled the R too much, but it was different in the later Torchic Distribution screenshots.
