The pictures above purport to be from a review copy of Pokémon X. As you can see, they claim that this is the final evolution of Froakie, Greninja, and a new Flying/Fighting-type Pokémon called Hawlucha. The latter Pokémon also has a new Fighting-type attack called Flying Press.
UPD2: A new image has surfaced claiming to show the final evolution of Chespin from behind. This is from a different person than the person who posted Greninja & Hawlucha. UPD: Confirmed fake
The poster also mentioned that XP is also much easier to earn and that entire parties will get some from battles with the use of EXP Share, a key item found early in the game. He also mentioned that XY only introduce around 70 new Pokémon. He also said that there barely is any endgame, with you only being able to catch Mewtwo and the Z legendary.
UPD1: A new Pokémon has supposedly been photographed. No other details are currently known. Remember, we do not know if these Pokémon are real or fake, so please don’t consider them as either until they are proven one or the other.
UPD3: We broke the site record for most visits in one day! Also, be wary of all the ‘leaks’ out there, there are so much (blatant) fakes going around that the legit leaks may get lost in it!

The lack of leaks suggest to me that the first batch were all fake…. I mean if I was a leaker I’d get as much out as soon as I could before I got shut down…. There’s no difference In leaking 1 or 101 they’ll still get caught…. Might as well go out with a bang!!

Well the guy spreading the pictures to Pokebeach apparently ran off after the news got viral, but there’s no proof that he was the original leaker even, because the original leak was on 4chan…plus, all the text was bullshit, so why believe the pictures are legit?

I think the first batch is fake judging by the fact that there were no more leaks today. I think the three overworld shots of the rock garden and Pokemon Center were real and that the rest was made in hype of those leaks. We haven’t seen a Fennekin evo and the Chespin one was proven fake as well last night, it makes me think that this is all by the same person and they took their time making each one and releasing it when the time fit. Flood gates open on October 4th though!
Still man, I think we have it confirmed Hawlucha is indeed real.
Hawlucha is the most believable because it has more than one screenshot of it that was initially released.

Yes, and it seems the most believable design.
We don’t have anything confirmed. You can see a few inconsistencies that would make it suspicious, however not enough due to the blurriness and angles that prove it can be debunked entirely. It’s just a rumor and should be treated as such until it is proven through fact as fake or confirmed by Nintendo/Game Freak.
So how is paying for the Pokemon Bank going to work? Do we have to use a credit card or something? And is it a monthly price or is it yearly? I read somewhere that it’d only be $5 a year.

Actually, If you download in December when it releases, it’s free until January. Meaning if you’re only gonna use it for transfer, you don’t need to pay.

Wait a minute…The Pokemon Bank and transfer don’t come with the launch of the game? We have to wait 2 months for it?
Exactly. It will keep the first Wifi XY tourneys free of RNGd and meticulously bred older Pokemon. Although 2 months is more than enough time to breed a nice team for Wifi. Plus the program routes out hacks, so hacked mons from the phone app, Pokegen etc will not be transferable. Which is very very awesome.
Does Pokegts count as a Pokegen? I don’t think it is. It sends me Pokemon through the GTS. I choose choose what moves and level it is and what items or abilities it has, but other than that the Pokemon have original trainers.

Well, the fact that PokeGTS is a false GTS and that Gamefreak are probably well aware of it doesn’t bode well for that possibility. Plus, PokeGTS Pokemon are all marked with a special ribbon that shows they are copied, which Im not sure if the ribbon is obtainable through normal in game means- so its highly possible that they can just block all Pokemon that have ribbons such as that.
I checked my Pokemon I got from the PokeGTS and none of them actually have the ribbon, and I was also able to deposit my Pokemon for trading on the PokeGTS. So it would seem that they are being treated as ‘legit’.
It depends on how you use Pokegen. I highly doubt the system would be able to pick out Pokegenerated Pokemon so long as the Pokemon is as legit as possible. This isn’t a new system…it’s basically the bad egg but less game breaking.
Very true, but my concern is mainly the hacked up garbage with broken EVs or movesets. Those are going to be stopped at the door for sure. If someone took the time to find legitimate PIDs with IVs to match, and the mon is totally legit otherwise, I could care less, since my RNGd mons can stand on equal footing with hacks stat wise anyways.
You can use a credit card…if you want. It’s easier to just buy a Nintendo prepaid card. My brother got me a $50 one for my birthday…SET.

A Pokemon fan is a person who knows how to take the good aspects of the series with the not so good and even the downright ugly. Regardless of which generation you started at and which game was your first… if you can do that then YES you are a TRUE FAN 😀

Fake it would make sense to release 3/4ths of the Dex before release. They would be no reason to purchase the game. The Main focus of a new generation is the New Pokemon. So far there have been probably about 41 released Pokemon (not counting Megas) some of them have other evolutionary stages so it would be about 50 at the most that has been revealed/expected (give or take). It would be extremely stupid of GameFreak to do so.

Pokemon has never had a midnight release. You might get better answers asking if the store will open earlier, as many have in the past due to an excess of preorders.
Actually, someone was just saying about a week ago how their local GameStop was doing a midnight release for X & Y, so assuming they weren’t lying it’s possible that any given store may be doing one, too.
I recall them asking or hoping that there would be one.
There IS one in New York City from 8 PM – 1 AM on the 11th. Nintendo World holding a special.
Other than that, managers would have to be persuaded and there would have to be a ton of preorders for that store. Also, since the targeted market are kids, it’s unlikely they would promote midnight releases.

I would definitely go if I were you, for the experience of a big fan event if nothing else. Plus, think of all of the StreetPasses you’d get! Start off X/Y with a nice, full PSS list.
Well here at my college they said they might be doing one at our on campus gamestop, but they weren’t sure. It would make sense because a lot of college kids play pokemon and I would definitely would be at the front of that line. Plus it’d only be fair seeing as how Japan is still going to be getting it before the rest of us because of the time difference. I just really hope they have a midnight release. It’d only make sense. Aren’t they already going to have the copies in the store anyway? Might as well give them to the people who are willing to go at 12 am

I think it’s all fake even Hawlucha since in the second image there’s a bright light above the “3DS” and yet you can’t see the 3DS camera. That’s all I got.

Of ALL the pictures the leaker could have taken he had to take the most blurry/whited out pictures as possible. You’d think if leakers had the guts to breach contracts they’d invest in capture cards at the least.

THE PART ABOUT ONLY 70 IS FAKE THEY ALREADY CONFIRMED BRINGING THE TOTAL TO WELL OVER 700
649 + 70 = 719. We all know the 70 new Pokemon has to be fake, because no generation has introduced no less than 100.
It doesn’t have to be fake, but it doesn’t seem right. However, since they made so many Mega Pokémon, I do have a bad feeling that we may get fewer new monsters than we’d like.
But the Mega Pokemon aren’t even ‘New’ Pokemon. I don’t even think they’ll be in the Pokedex, or if they are they’ll just be shown as an alternate form. It’s not like the Mega Pokemon take up a numbered slot.
They still take time to design and program, which would take away from the time they would otherwise be using to make new Pokémon.
Unless they already had new or unused Pokemon designs in the works. I think people are worrying too much about it.

Exactly! I’m sure that we’ll be getting a very hefty amount of new Pokemon, especially since this is a brand new generation and also a new region. 70 new Pokemon seems way too small of a number to put in an entire new region.
They are including a very large number of old Pokemon as well though. So who knows. I highly doubt it…at least 90 at the least.
But the old Pokemon have nothing to do with the new Pokemon. I really think that people are taking things out of context instead of waiting to see what the real truth is. These leakers are probably just trying to start chaos because it gets their rocks off, and they’re succeeding because people are buying it and overreacting.
I think I read in an interview somewhere that they have actually been working on X and Y since Diamond and Pearl’s release since they wanted to release it worldwide at the same time. I don’t know if it’s true, but with all the work going into these games, it sounds plausible to me.

For the region. They could have started working on the actual Pokemon a lot earlier, especially if they wanted to get the MegaEvolutions thing worked out.
Except that he took a one month vacation after the production of Black and White and since he’s the director there’s no way he could do that in the middle of production.
