The pictures above purport to be from a review copy of Pokémon X. As you can see, they claim that this is the final evolution of Froakie, Greninja, and a new Flying/Fighting-type Pokémon called Hawlucha. The latter Pokémon also has a new Fighting-type attack called Flying Press.
UPD2: A new image has surfaced claiming to show the final evolution of Chespin from behind. This is from a different person than the person who posted Greninja & Hawlucha. UPD: Confirmed fake
The poster also mentioned that XP is also much easier to earn and that entire parties will get some from battles with the use of EXP Share, a key item found early in the game. He also mentioned that XY only introduce around 70 new Pokémon. He also said that there barely is any endgame, with you only being able to catch Mewtwo and the Z legendary.
UPD1: A new Pokémon has supposedly been photographed. No other details are currently known. Remember, we do not know if these Pokémon are real or fake, so please don’t consider them as either until they are proven one or the other.
UPD3: We broke the site record for most visits in one day! Also, be wary of all the ‘leaks’ out there, there are so much (blatant) fakes going around that the legit leaks may get lost in it!

There is no way Gamefreak would over hype this game just to only make 70 new Pokemon.The lowest amount was Johto with 100. That being said they’ve release about 40 pokemon in the press release. I highly double that they would release over half the dex. The 70 rumor is beyond fake
We know, all of the text rumors we’ve gotten have been fake.
I doubt there’s just 70 Pokemon, I mean the new Pokemon is one of the core things of each new generation it’s one of the things people look foreword to the most each time around. It would just seem off and disappointing if Gamefreak have add all this new stuff and cut us cheap on one of the main points of the game.

Quite frankly, until someone posts something showing the exact process by which they created their fake images, I think we can’t discredit any of the things that got posted initially. There are a variety of reasons someone could backtrack and say that they were lying all along; to be honest, most fake leakers don’t actually confess, they just watch as their creations get more and more popular. So yeah, unless I see some sort of step-by-step example of how these images were faked, they can’t be ruled out.

Actually a lot of leakers confess. Most of the leakers from this gen have come up and confess that they were lying about their ‘leaks’

Well it’s a bit of a weird situation we find ourselves in. There’s an absolute toss-up between who posted what and who confessed to faking which ones and all that jazz.

Okay, I for one think Hawlucha is real due to the facts that it has been leaked no once, but twice. Anyone agree? I think the others are fake.
But both of the sources that leaked Hawlucha also confessed to leaking fakes, so…
What fakes?
We only have two sources.
Leaker 1 leaked Greninja and Hawlucha
Leaker 2 leaked Binacle and Hawlucha
Leaker 2 insists that his are fake, but we’ve discussed how that might actually make it more likely that his are real.
Leaker 1 has said nothing, and a confirmed fake Greninja picture appeared earlier today, making it seem more likely that Greninja was fake all along.
That’s how I see it at least. Like I said, there’s a mire of information here and we’re not completely sure who confessed to faking what and their motivations for doing so.
Most likely,leaker 2 is trying to not get caught by nintendo.
Exactly. That implies that Hawlucha and Binacle are more likely to be real, while Greninja is more likely to be fake.
If anything comes out of this, Hawlucha must be real.
Unless there’s a twist and it turns out absolutely all of this was fake. But I agree, of all the Pokemon here, Hawlucha is the most likely to be real. The way I see it is that Leaker 2 started posting his images first, and Leaker 1 made his own image of Hawlucha alongside his fake Greninja in order to seem more legit.
I mean, out of all of them Hawlucha looks like an actual pokemon, and given the fact that it varies in color might lead to gender differences. I’m adding this to my team already because this might be my favorite of this gen.
Hawluacha is one of the best designed pokemon I have seen so far! I hoping everything in this leak is real, even the barnacle!

Controversial? About the same. But the absolute volume of fake leaks is waaay larger than in previous generations.

I don’t know. The only X&Y leaks that happened was at the beginning of the year, the rest have either be actually press release (CoroCoro, Pokemon Website, etc.) or Fakes (IAMTHELEAKER, etc.)

It’s because of the change in art style. In older gens, someone could “leak” a sprite and nobody would know the difference because spriting is easier than these 3D models and changing a sprite battle’s background is much easier. Back then, people would see a leak, use caution, and just keep going, since every “leak” had a similar quality.
Now with the 3D models, people are trying to guess what GF’s style is, leading to both less spectacular leaks and the occasional leak that seems to go either way, since we’re all trying to guess what GF will and won’t do with designs.

The big problem is that all leaks seem legitimate because we don’t know what legitimate even is.
I think that back before May, leaks were easy to tell if they were fake. But as GF showed more stuff, the fakes got better. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these artists were the same ones that faked those batches of CoroCoro scans back in the February-April time period. Remember?
Right, good point. To be honest, if we saw Doublade back in May or even July, most of us would think it was some person’s awful attempt at a Honedge evolution. Then GF shocks us with his reveal and people are lost trying to figure out what GF’s design limits are. These artists are now pushing these limits and riding the fine line between realistic and nuts, and we’re falling for it hook-line-and-sinker.

It is already SE against [SIZE=5][B]13[/B][/SIZE] types and it will have great attack stats and great speed.
If they give him earthquake and a dark move (add x2 electric, ghost and psychic to the above) It will destroy everything (It could maybe have a poison move against Fairy being a frog and grass Knot for water pokemon)

Again, High attacker, low defense and cant take hits. Think about it, You freeze a pokemon, confuse it or paralyze it, make it fall asleep, and when the’re inable to battle send out this guy to do some massive damage. I think it fits him.
