RUMOR: Images Show Final Froakie, Chespin Evolutions & New Pokémon

These are not necessarily real images, their authenticity has not been established. Please do NOT treat this as a news post, instead enjoy commenting & speculating. We will update you if any details come out to (dis)prove any of this.

We’ve marked the main image warning of Pokémon X & Y spoilers so we won’t be hiding images in these posts.

The pictures above purport to be from a review copy of Pokémon X. As you can see, they claim that this is the final evolution of Froakie, Greninja, and a new Flying/Fighting-type Pokémon called Hawlucha. The latter Pokémon also has a new Fighting-type attack called Flying Press.

UPD2: A new image has surfaced claiming to show the final evolution of Chespin from behind. This is from a different person than the person who posted Greninja & Hawlucha. UPD: Confirmed fake

The poster also mentioned that XP is also much easier to earn and that entire parties will get some from battles with the use of EXP Share, a key item found early in the game. He also mentioned that XY only introduce around 70 new Pokémon. He also said that there barely is any endgame, with you only being able to catch Mewtwo and the Z legendary.

UPD1: A new Pokémon has supposedly been photographed. No other details are currently known. Remember, we do not know if these Pokémon are real or fake, so please don’t consider them as either until they are proven one or the other.

UPD3: We broke the site record for most visits in one day! Also, be wary of all the ‘leaks’ out there, there are so much (blatant) fakes going around that the legit leaks may get lost in it!

Looking forward to reading your comments!

  1. According to Pokebeach, these pictures come from two different sources, but both own the hawk thing. I think one of them removed his information but they think it was a cover-up since the images are so convincing.

The frog looks fake. The hawk though, looks pretty real, and apparently a bunch of different sources are referencing him.

  2. People hating on the name “Greninja”, firstly, these are regional games. Secondly, as you can see in the second last scan, the name on the left side looks NOTHING like “Quilladin”, i.e both might very well be NICKNAMES (To avoid attention from GF i suppose)

  3. The one reason why I don’t believe Greninja is because there was an embargo set for discussing starter evolutions (and officially showing them) for after the games come out. However, I still like Greninja and wouldn’t mind if it were real. I’d actually love it!

  4. Overall. I really don’t believe the Pokemon images. As Dicie said there was a embargo on releasing the starter information. Also, the hawk (even thought it looks cool) seems fan made. Same as the weird worm thing. It looks sprited. The images of the area and Emolga looks real! I can’t wait for October 11th – October 12th!

  5. I think the alleged Froakie evo looks entirely fake. It looks way too cartoony in my eyes, something Nintendo has never really done to a last stage starter before. The design also doesn’t make a lot of sense to me because; Frogadier turned a much darker blue upon evolution (with less white), but then with this “last evolution”, what happened to all the dark blue? It looks as if all the dark blue from Frogadier is just, gone. I don’t think that’d happen realistically (along with the return of more white). The bubble ‘scarf’ is gone, to be replaced by it’s tongue? What? Not even a good design choice, all the artist did was replace the bubbles with it’s tongue, with the same form/anatomy and everything. As a big fakemon artist myself, I consider that lazy. Not to mention, it almost doesn’t look like a frog anymore. :1

I don’t know what to say about the bird. It looks cool, but probably fake as well as it was made by the same artist lol. It looks nice, and I would not be upset if it was real. c:

The third Pokemon is just, no. Nope, I’m done. Don’t like it, don’t want it.

  6. Here’s how I think it goes:

Hawk/Garuda Pokemon- Likely real, two sources mention it but could be fake because the typing is way too good to be true. Fighting/Flying sounds like a fan dream. But then again, so did Ghost/Steel back in the days of Generation V.
Frogadier evo- Possibly an elaborate fake used to push buttons
Pokemon Center images, overworld matching Kalos map, and battle with Emolga: Totally real, no question about it.
Text information- Bullshit. 70 Pokemon and no aftergame? I think not.

To me, it seems as if multiple people are coming together to put on a huge ruse for the fandom. Only 13 days left though! We can do it! We can do it!

  7. The reason I believe this is simple: Fake Leakers have like one or two pictures. Yet, this leaker has come up with more and more and will probably show up more. So, I am in the boat this is real. But I don’t understand why Greninja has Extrasensory O_o

  8. So I’m now going to try and summarize all that’s been discussed in the past two hours or so.
Initially there were rumors that there would only be 70 new Pokemon and that the endgame was very lacking. These have mostly been debunked by fans by pointing out that there will be at least 101 new Pokemon, and that the Kalos Pokedex is large enough that it must be split into three sections.
The Froakie evolution seems the most suspicious of the Pokemon revealed here. Its design looks a bit inconsistent with its pre-evolutions and the fact that it’s only seen in one shot from one source makes it a bit suspect. Its type is unclear. The pink thing around its neck may or may not be its actual tongue.
Hawlucha was posted by multiple sources, making it more credible than the Froakie evolution, though it may still be fake. It is the first Fighting/Flying-type.
Binacle was posted by a single source slightly later than the other images. It’s a Rock/Water-type and is generally hideous, but it doesn’t look any more or less real than the other two revealed Pokemon.
The images of the overworld seem genuine. Emolga may or may not be included in the Kalos Dex.

  9. More X and Y rumors
The final starter evolutions’ typing will be Grass/Dark, Water/Fighting, and Fire/Psychic as confirmed before.
Dive is back in this game as HM04
When you transfer the shiny event Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina, you open up a new area where you can find their mega stones.
    107 new pokemon and 32 mega-evolutions.
The reason that Oblivion Wing and Geomancy were classified as unknown types in the last issue of Coro coro is because they are the only two dual-type moves.
Gym leaders and Elite Four members can use Mega-evolutions.
New move called Attach. It is a bug type move where the user attaches itself to the foe and absorbs 20 HP every turn for three turns.
No Dark type gym leader yet again.
The pokemon going around called Hawlucha (Hawk-Lucha, spanish word for fight) is a real pokemon and it is the first stage of a two-part evolution line. It can be found somewhat early in the game. It’s evolution is called Librawk (Libre, as in Lucha-libre, spanish for wrestling, and Hawk)
DLC Clothing pieces to be announced soon.
15 Legendaries in the game and two Trios.
Mega-evolved Pokemon do not gain EXP points when used to win a battle.
    Berry harvesting is back.
    Gardevoir gets a Mega-evolution.
No regions other than Kalos in the game.
Mewtwo can be caught in a cave after the main story.

  10. We have so many many contradicting rumors!

    >Only 70 new Pokemon
    >Another rumor says 107 new Pokemon

Wow. Just wow. This is getting ridiculous.

This is going to be how it is the next 13 days. We need to get used to this. -_-
