PokéBeach has posted some new rumors that they claim to have received from a reliable source. As always, I post these rumors for discussion purposes only, please do not post them elsewhere as confirmed information or interpret these as me posting information as real.
New Pokémon
- Trusk & its pre-evolution: Grass/Rock Pokémon with long green tusks and grey skin. Pre-evolution was described as “adorable”
- Apparachnid: Ghost-type spider Pokémon which appears in caves. It is grey with blue spots and has a glowing abdomen. May have an evolution
- Quillom: Normal/Poison procupine Pokémon. New attack with a high chance of poisoning. Its skin is white and its quills are purple
- Badger Pokémon: Name unknown, but it is dark brown with stripes and knows a new biting move
- Froakie’s Final Evolution: Water/Fighting and resembles a poison dart frog. Uses its legs to attack. Its form gets a bit heavier and it is mostly dark blue now
- Bunnelby Evolution: Ground/Dark and round. Much larger than it’s pre-evolution
- Helioptile Evolution: Stands on two legs and has two yellow triangle designs on its face now. Its appearance becomes more menacing and its ears are more rough and there are spikes going down its back. Learns the new attack Thunder Roll
- Espurr: Pre-evolution of Meowstic, very cute
Competitive Information
- Chansey-line, Dunsparce, Clefairy-line, and Togepi-line are now Fairy-type
- Fairy Dust: New attack which causes a random status condition from Paralysis, Poison, Sleep, or Burn
- A Wailmer game is shown for the Super Training Facility games
Game Information
- Team Flare is featured at the beginning of the game in a TV segment. They encourage trainers to match their style and Pokémon
- Opening cinematic in the game is 3D and features the player character watching Yveltal (Pokémon Y?) fly across the sky. More in-game shots follow
- Xerneas and Yveltal’s 3D models can be rotated using the analog stick on the title screen.

As if it wasn’t obvious enough, I think Mewtwo will be a legendary catchable in Kalos somewhere. Putting the fact that Mega Evolution’s are based on DNA, and Mewtwo was created from Mew’s DNA, it get’s one for each game. That fact, tied with it being on the cover of the Official X/Y Soundtrack alongside Xerneas and Yveltal is suspicious to me.
I think the blog rumors are fake and someone just trying to follow up on the Pokebeach rumors. What do you guys think?

Well, someone could easily say that they’re from the same source. You know? Anyone can fake anything.
Well I don’t believe those rumors entirely either. Some of what He/They said seems pretty realistic, but some aspects are weird.
If there was more physical evidence than a box, I might believe it. He should post a picture of the actual game cartridges.
Or a brief video. That would be pretty hard to fake.

Back in 2010, someone leaked the ROM of Black and White. Serebii and Pokebeach posted pictures two days early to the Japanese release and were threatened by Nintendo to be terminated for copyright.
Apparently, the source got shut down by Nintendo and Game Freak. If you go to the leaker’s blog, he removed all of the information. Either he is scared of the fan base or following orders like a good citizen. I think he’s scared of backlash from the fan base. Some of the details he revealed sounded too good to be true but we’ll honestly never know until the 12th.
Or he’s an attention wh**e and is trying to make more people believe his rumors. Take all rumors with a grain of salt until confirmed.
I honestly was disgusted by the Raichu Mega Evolution based on the description and the broken mirror and new Rock/Ice type Pokemon. So I hope it’s fake.

Maybe this rumoured Helioptile Evolution, but gamefreak might just announced Ooroto as this “new” Pokemon.
I would laugh if I got a Pokémon from trade, having only 4 badges, tried Pokémon-Amie like a hundred times, sent it out to battle, give it orders, and get the following messages:
“Swirlix is loafing around!”
“Swirlix took a snooze!”
“Instead of Draining Kiss, Swirlix used Cotton Guard!”
“Swirlix ignored orders!”
I know it may hurt, but I remember messages like that in Pokémon Yellow.
1st gen. was ridiculous with traded pokemon they listened really until you beat Giovanni. I had a level 100 Vileplume that I traded from red that lost to Lt. Surge.

I love this so much! But the only thing is that it looks more like water/dark rather than water/fighting and these “rumors” said it was fighting. Looks can be deceiving though.
It’s spooky how that last evolution looks so realistic but I wouldn’t mind if on it’s hind legs were a bit taller. A good idea would be if the bubble clouds were like poofy ninja pants but not bubbling but they could.

All this information is so cool, I want it all to be true. So far there has been nothing that I hate about X and Y, I used to dislike the concept of Mega evolving and thought it was kinda gimmicky, but I’m over that now and I’m loving the new Mega evolutions.
What do/did you dislike about X and Y since they announced it?
Megas and fairies. But ever since I saw Spritzee and Mega Charizard, I’ve grown to accept them (still iffy on Megas though, at least the concept)
Also not having it all in 3D but their explaination made sense and made me respect their decision.

IMO these rumours seem perfectly believable in terms of content. I’d like them to be true.
Fairy dunsparce isn’t something I would have gone for, but it makes sense if one takes its tsuchinoko inspiration into account.
I agree, except I’m still doubtful on that intro screen. It’s very detailed compared to everything else, so it makes me a bit suspicious. I like it though, it creates a adventurous feel before the game, and it just seems awesome ^^

Yeah, saw that. The leaker said some of the info they had to take down was not true, but he did post things like:
-There is a second Eeveelution. It is not a Dragon or a Bug type.
-Pokemon will no longer breed when they are unhappy. (that means you
can´t store your ditto forever in the pension anymore.) The pension will
have place for 4 Pokemon.
-You can customize your Clothes with new Colors or Patterns (kinda
like in Animal crossing) or put Pokemon Images on them. You cant change
the shape.

If I had to make a bet, I’d wager that the leaker managed to get the actual game cases themselves, but not the cartridges.
The boxes themselves look too legitimate to be fakes, once you see the backs of them.
But the writing style and subsequent removal of the text just screamed fake.
I’m glad that by the time the website was shut down, I never got a chance to read the rumors. But yeah, from the picture of Froakie evo and the tumblr website….it looks LEGIT.

There is an ancient tablet pokemon with what look to be runes on it. It is ice/rock and can be found near a city with a windmill. It has the ability Flash Freeze which causes Pokemon to become frozen when they use a physical attack on it. The pokemon’s name is Bitrunic and it knows the attacks rock smash and ice beam. It looks like a grey stone rectangular slab and the runes glow icy blue normally and red when it is attacking. It’s eyes are two runes that are rectangles with diagonal lines that go through them.
The next is a steel/ghost type pokemon also found near the ruins that have bitrunic. It is known as the mirror pokemon. Named Flekter. Its pokedex entry says that it can trap a person’s soul within the reflection. It does evolve into a broken mirror pokemon. I do not know the name of the evolution but it has a ghost like mist holding together broken mirror shards.
To get Spewpa to evolve into Vivillon, you have to shake your 3ds up and down while it levels up. You can do this at anytime once it is past level 16.
To get Malimar, when Inkay is leveling up past level 24, turn your 3ds upside down. Another thing to keep in mind is that you have to be surfing to do this.
There is a lady in Lumiose city who will give you a task once a day for a week. If you complete her tasks (it can be anything from showing her a certain pokemon or bringing her a certain item to showing her an evolved pokemon), she will give you an egg. This egg has a Skiddo in it. If you take the hatched Skiddo to her, she’ll teach you how to ride pokemon. This isn’t required to ride pokemon, but she gives you tips on jumping over ledges.
Pokemon-amie it a lot of fun to play and create bonds with your pokemon, however if you don’t use it, your pokemon don’t lose happiness. This is good because you don’t have to use this feature. I can see this as being geared more towards girls.
Pokemon that can be found close to the starting area: Quillom, Bunnelby, Scatterbug, Fletchling, Flabebe, Pikachu.
The Togepi lineup loses its normal typing and becomes fairy type.
Metronome is now a fairy type move. There is a new move called Moon Dance that will raise a fairy type Pokemon’s special attack. I mistook this for Lunar Dance earlier; sorry.
The day care center is near a bridge and has a river flowing behind it. You can now put up to four pokemon there. If you leave a pokemon there to breed, it’s happiness will go down. If it gets too unhappy, it will no longer breed.
When you street pass someone you can see them on your PSS. You can also battle them in a place called the pokemon battle arcade (not to be confused with the battle arcade from the battle frontier).
Your friends don’t believe you when you say you think you saw the legendary pokemon. Your rival (the male or female one that you didnt choose said they saw it too). Tierno says that you guys probably just dreamed it.
There are new types of pokeball, each with a different speciality. On has a yellow top with a lightning bolt on it. As you can imagine, it works well on electric pokemon. It is called the Shockball.
The next is the Ironball. It is all silver looking except a black band around the middle and a little indent on the top. Use for catching steel type pokemon but can also be good for catching heavier pokemon.
They are following the pattern of having two Eeveelutions in this generation. I have seen the other and it is unexpected, but awesome. I won’t say what type but it isn’t dragon or poison like people are thinking.
Raichu gets a mega evolution. It turns brown with the orange/gold accents on its ears. Its speed and special attack are increased.
Tropius gets to mega evolve. It gains more back leaves and now has more coconuts hanging from its neck. Its physical attack is raised but its speed it lowered.
You can leave money with your mother again but you don’t get annoying calls from her when she buys you stuff. Now you can leave her a shopping list and she will pick them up for you if she “finds a good sale”.
The train tracks in the East of Kalos lead to a new battle frontier that is being “built” while the main story is happening. It presumably will be finished by the time you beat the elite four.
Shiny Helioptile is a darker yellow, kind of orange-ish. This is the only shiny Pokemon I have encountered so far.
Talonflame doesn’t evolve from Fletchling, there is a pokemon in between.
The save game function takes substantially less time than previous games.
On the main menu, these are the options: New Game, Continue, Mystery Gift, Streetpass Settings, Options, Wifi Settings.
Mega stones can be found in a caves through a new feature similar to the mining feature in D/P/P. Not the exact same way, but you use your stylus to break rocks. You don’t always find something but you can get mega stones (in their raw forms, you have to take them to the fossil lab).
You can design your own clothes (not the shape or anything, but you can add patterns or Pokemon images onto them, similar to how Tierno has vanillite on his shirt). You have to have seen the Pokemon in order to get it put onto a shirt. I am not sure if you can put any Pokemon on a shirt, but so far many of the early Pokemon work.
The 5th gym is Dark type and the gym leader is tough!
Just caught an Apparachnid. I can confirm the spelling! There is an empty spot right after it in the Pokedex, followed by Bitrunic. My guess is that is does indeed evolve. Upon further inspection, it has six eyes and the bottom of it’s legs are blue. It is Ghost/Poison. 8.6 lbs. It knows a new move: Venom Spit (Physical attack, 50 base damage, 100 accuracy, can poison) along with Bite, Acid, and Poison Sting.

I saw that posted on serebii forums this morning. The person asked if it was real, but gave no answer to where he/she found it. One of the moderators, Wulava, said it was fake based on something different from Sugimori art.
We don’t know yet. Imo it looks legit (and totally ba*ass) and matches Sugimori Style, but we knoe that fakes have improved a lot so only time will tell..
P.s. I’m the one who made the evolutionary line picture, so that is fake for sure 🙂

I think that is supposed to be that it is rather wet, moist frogs like that, such as the poison dart frog, tend to be shiny. And it IS a Water type.

Commenting on what the ending of this article states: what do you think the new Pokemon will be? Serebii says it will be an evolution. If it’s an X/Y Pokemon evolution, I’d day Helioptile is the most likely reveal. Otherwise….Drakeon?? Guess we’ll find out pretty soon!

I’ve realised, the first rumors were true at last night. The new rumors are fake. Why? How would he know that Cresselia’s signature move is Fairy now? There is no way to be a third 100% 50 BP Poison type move that can poison. The most important difference of the two is the spelling (maybe because Pokebeach corrected it). The leaker said the white things last night and then someone started to play the leaker creating false news. Pokebeach has reliable informants. I don’t say you should belive but the white rumors are very likely true.

What can I say 😕 I’m from Germany, so English isn’t my first language.
I’ve been playing pokemon since Red/Blue and are more than hyped for my X Version, which I preordered the day it was possible 😀
my favourite Pokémon is Glaziola (Glaceon in English I think), but I can’t really say that I dislike any particular Pokémon – so I guess I like them all in some way
but now to the rumours:
Even though the blog-guy deleted them and claimed some to be false, I still believe that the “rest” is real – I don’t know why, but I am kind of convinced these rumours are real. I hope the given descriptions of the new Pokémon turn out to be true and I like the idea of an electric version of Flame Wheel.
Can’t say much about the Skiddo-Lady or daycare, wouldn’t mind if these were the false statements.
I also love the pic of the supposed final Froakie evolution … hopefully it’s the Pokémon going to be revealed tomorrow – with Fennekin’s and Chespin’s to follow the weeks after …
