New Pokémon X & Y Rumors: Fairy-type Dunsparce?!

PokéBeach has posted some new rumors that they claim to have received from a reliable source. As always, I post these rumors for discussion purposes only, please do not post them elsewhere as confirmed information or interpret these as me posting information as real.

New Pokémon

  • Trusk & its pre-evolution: Grass/Rock Pokémon with long green tusks and grey skin. Pre-evolution was described as “adorable”
  • Apparachnid: Ghost-type spider Pokémon which appears in caves. It is grey with blue spots and has a glowing abdomen. May have an evolution
  • Quillom: Normal/Poison procupine Pokémon. New attack with a high chance of poisoning. Its skin is white and its quills are purple
  • Badger Pokémon: Name unknown, but it is dark brown with stripes and knows a new biting move
  • Froakie’s Final Evolution: Water/Fighting and resembles a poison dart frog. Uses its legs to attack. Its form gets a bit heavier and it is mostly dark blue now
  • Bunnelby Evolution: Ground/Dark and round. Much larger than it’s pre-evolution
  • Helioptile Evolution: Stands on two legs and has two yellow triangle designs on its face now. Its appearance becomes more menacing and its ears are more rough and there are spikes going down its back. Learns the new attack Thunder Roll
  • Espurr: Pre-evolution of Meowstic, very cute

Competitive Information

  • Chansey-line, Dunsparce, Clefairy-line, and Togepi-line are now Fairy-type
  • Fairy Dust: New attack which causes a random status condition from Paralysis, Poison, Sleep, or Burn
  • A Wailmer game is shown for the Super Training Facility games

Game Information

  • Team Flare is featured at the beginning of the game in a TV segment. They encourage trainers to match their style and Pokémon
  • Opening cinematic in the game is 3D and features the player character watching Yveltal (Pokémon Y?) fly across the sky. More in-game shots follow
  • Xerneas and Yveltal’s 3D models can be rotated using the analog stick on the title screen.

  1. ” It then shows him showing you three Poke Balls which leads into a transformation video where it shows all three Kanto starters evolving to their final forms, and then the three of them Mega Evolving.” I read this from pokebeach, I mean i like the idea of having the kanto starters and all that but i think they’re giving them too much attention that they’re having all the spot light. I’m not a gen 1 hater but i think they should really give more attention to gen 6 starters rather than focusing on the gen 1 starters.

  2. Quillom and Quilladin. Names are really close. As I said, I’m not disregarding the rumor! Still, I find that part a bit weird. Yet, some Pokemon names are really close!

There is an ancient tablet pokemon with what look to be runes on it. It is ice/rock and can be found near a city with a windmill. It has the ability Flash Freeze which causes Pokemon to become frozen when they use a physical attack on it. The pokemon’s name is Bitrunic and
it knows the attacks rock smash and ice beam. It looks like a grey
stone rectangular slab and the runes glow icy blue normally and red when
it is attacking. It’s eyes are two runes that are rectangles with
diagonal lines that go through them.
The next is a steel/ghost type pokemon also found near the ruins that have bitrunic. It is known as the mirror pokemon. NamedFlekter.
I only saw its pokedex entry and it said that it can trap a person’s
soul within the reflection. It does evolve into a broken mirror pokemon.
I do not know the name of the evolution but it has a ghost like mist
    holding together broken mirror shards.
To get spewpa to evolve into vivillon, you have to shake your 3ds up and down while it levels up. You can do this at anytime once it is past level 16.
To get malimar, when inkay is leveling up past level 24, turn your 3ds upside down. Another thing to keep in mind is that you have to be surfing to do this.
There is a lady in Lumiose city who will give you a task once a day
for a week. If you complete her tasks (it can be anything from showing
her a certain pokemon or bringing her a certain item to showing her an
evolved pokemon), she will give you an egg. This egg has a Skiddo in it.
If you take the hatched Skiddo to her, she’ll teach you how to ride pokemon.
Pokemon-amie it a lot of fun to play and create bonds with your
pokemon, however if you don’t use it, your pokemon don’t lose
    happiness.
Pokemon that can be found close to the starting area: quillom, bunnelby, scatterbug, fletchling, flabebe, pikachu.
The Togepi lineup loses its normal typing and becomes fairy type.
Metronome and Moon Dance are now fairy type moves.
The day care center is near a bridge and has a river flowing behind it. You can now put up to four pokemon there. If you leave a pokemon there to breed, it’s happiness will go down. If it gets too unhappy, it will no longer breed.
When you street pass someone you can see them on your PSS. You can also battle them in a place called the pokemon battle arcade (not to be confused with the battle arcade from the battle frontier).
Your friends don’t believe you when you say you think you saw the legendary pokemon.
Your rival (the male or female one that you didnt choose said they saw
it too). Tierno says that you guys probably just dreamed it.
There are new types of pokeball, each with a different speciality.
On has a yellow top with a lightning bolt on it. As you can imagine, it
works well on electric pokemon. It is called the shockball.
The next is the ironball. It is all silver looking
except a black band around the middle and a little indent on the top.
Use for catching steel type pokemon but can also be good for catching
    heavier pokemon.
They are following the pattern of having two eeveelutions in this generation. I have seen the other and it is unexpected, but awesome. I won’t say what type but it isn’t dragon or poison like people are thinking.
Raichu gets a mega evolution. It turns brown with the orange/gold accents on its ears. Its speed and special attack are increased.
Tropius gets to mega evolve. It gains more back leaves and now has more coconuts hanging from its neck. Its physical attack is raised but its speed it lowered.
You can leave money with your mother again but you don’t get annoying calls from her when she buys you stuff. Now you canleave her a shopping list and she will pick them up for you if she “finds a good sale”.
The train tracks in the East of Kalos lead to a new battle frontier that is being “built” while the main story is happening. It presumably will be finished by the time you beat the elite four.
Shiny helioptile is a darker yellow, kind of orange-ish. This is the only shiny Pokemon I have encountered so far.

    • MORE:
Talonflame doesn’t evolve from Fletchling, there is a pokemon in between.
The save game function takes substantially less time than previous games.
On the main menu, these are the options: New Game, Continue, Mystery Gift, Streetpass Settings, Options, Wifi Settings.
Mega stones can be found in a caves through a new feature similar to the mining feature in D/P/P.
You can design your own clothes (not the shape or anything, but you can add patterns or Pokemon images onto them, similar to how Tierno has vanillite on his shirt). You have to have seen the Pokemon in order to get it put onto a shirt.

      • this link made a few things that caused some confusion to me to be clearer.. some of the odd things in the way (s)he wrote things might be due the fact that this person is most likely french. Due having french copies of the games. so thanks for this link ^^

    • This all situation seems pretty legit to me! I am stil wondering how did he get the games 3 weeks early? So everyone who doesn’t want to be spoiled, he has better not to look any of these rumours again!

“The 5th gym is Dark type and the gym leader is tough!
That is all I will post. See you on October 12th!
P.S. – Wednesday September 12th is the next reveal date from Nintendo. I think they will either reveal the second eeveelution, mega Raichu, or helioptile’s evolution.”

    • This is clearly bogus. The writing style is pretty bad so unless WPM has been heavily editing the information given to him for Pokebeach then it’s just some kid making it up.

      Also:
      – There is no move Moon Dance. Maybe he’s talking about Lunar Dance but that’s Cresselia’s signature move. Or maybe Moonlight, but only a few Pokemon learn that too.
      – Encountering a shiny Pokemon? Way too lucky.
      – Another Ice/Rock and another Ghost/Steel Pokemon?!
      – There is already an Iron Ball item.

      Reply
      • The person who wrote these is possible french and might have translated the names of the items and moves literally, making it possible for lunar dance to be refered to as moon dance and this ‘ironball’ to be a possible metal or steel ball, who knows.

also, what’s wrong with multiple pokemons having the same typings.. i mean, gen 1 was full with grass/poison pokemon

        Reply
        • X/Y lets you pick any language at the start. They are playing the English version, not translating from the French. Anyway they updated now and said it’s a new move. But it’s strange to have two moves Lunar Dance and Moon Dance with identical meaning.

Sure, multiple Pokemon can have the same type in a generation, but for two never-before-used type combos to get two separate Pokemon lines seems fairly unlikely.

Lots of “a bit unlikely” things adds up to “this is fake”.

          Reply
    • Damn, I wish some of these were real. I think a new eveelution, if not dragon or poison, would be steel, which would be interesting to say the least.

      Reply
    • I like the Ironball a lot! And Steel is my favorite type! However, there’s a held item called the Ironball so seems a bit strange.

On the other hand, you did talk about Tropius…so I believe you.

  4. Well whaddyathink gentlemen? (and Ladies)

Trusk sounds cool but the grass/rock typing could mean trouble

never been a big fan of ghosts or spiders but it could be interesting

    Normal/poison hasn’t been done

I’m fine on Frogadier becoming a fighting type, Quilladin better become a steel knight

I heard that this badger is supposed to be ground, and i likes ground types

I knew Bunnelby was going to be ground eventually, but the Dark typing throws me off (unless it’s often underground and barely ventures on the surface)

Helioptile struck me evolving into either a ground, dragon or even poison, but Thunder Roll sounds like my kind of move

and as for Espurr I could care less since i really don’t like Psychic types,
    (except Claydol for obvious reasons)

True or Untrue, Pokebeach had sound legit rumors in da past but it could be a scamming lie.

  5. YAY:
All new Pokemon sounds good especially that Arachnid one.

    NAY:

    Froakie evolution being Water/Fighting
Quillom sounding like Quilladin (Lillipup Lilligant again?)
Togepi line being Fairy, they are already double typed.

  6. Just caught an Apparachnid. I can confirm the spelling! There is an empty spot right after it in the Pokedex, followed by Bitrunic. My guess is that is does indeed evolve. Upon further inspection, it has six eyes and the bottom of it’s legs are blue. It is Ghost/Poison. 8.6 lbs. It knows a new move: Venom Spit (Physical attack, 50 base damage, 100 accuracy, can poison) along with Bite, Acid, and Poison Sting

Ahh OMG he is getting me so excited. So a Ghost/Poison spider sounds amazing. Atleast it doesn’t have a fire weakness.

  7. My guess on what the new Pokemon revealed tomorrow will be

A regular evolution of either Helioptile, Dunsparce, or Plusle (I say Plusle only cause its the most recent Pokemon to be discussed on their facebook page lol).

Or it will be a Mega Evolution of Eevee 🙁
A taller normal type eevee with increased attack/speed and adaptability LOL

This makes no sense to me. They just said in an interview “One of the things we focused on with Pokemon X and Y was to really speed up the pace, up the tempo a bit, and make it more of a brisk-paced adventure and make it easier to raise Pokemon. There are a lot of free games out there, and if you get bored it’s easy to just switch to something else — we really wanted to make it constantly interesting and engaging.”

If this new breeding mechanic is true, it does nothing to speed up the pace, and becomes more of a nuisance than anything for breeders because they’ll have to get their Pokemon’s happiness up again (which takes a while).

  9. Dragon-type evolution for Togetic! I want abilities that gives it an immunity to fairy type attacks. One in which it will restore HP when hit with one and another in which it will draw Fairy-type attacks and raise attack power. How does that sound?

    Reply
        • Glad you agree with me:)
And I swear if they really change Togepi’s type, I will be mad. Split evos are the way to go. Plus, a new Dragon-type sould definitely have a new ability that either restores HP when hit with Fairy-type moves or draws them in and raises Attack without any damage. I also demand that they update the ability Scrappy and make Dragon-type moves land on Fairy-types (for that Pokémon’s hidden ability). Wouldn’t you agree? If anyone has an idea for a Togetic split evolution, post a picture!

          Reply
          • Scrappy… Maybe… It would be understandable if they changed the typing on Togepi, but it would make togekiss annoying due to its high chance to flinch. If it’s given a flinching fairy move, dragons are screwed. It’s very possible there will be a fairy absorbing ability. Though the chances of a split evo for Togepi are very unlikely, it’s not impossible. I think it’d be cool.

          • You know what? Togetic should be able to evolve into three different Pokémon, Togekiss, the Dragon/Flying type that I mentioned, and a Fairy/Flying type.

          • Dude…what you said makes no sense. Here is my idea for the two new evolutions, and both would need new evolutionary stones:
            Togegon
            Type: Dragon/Flying
            Courageous Pokémon
            Ability:
Dust Absorb – Restores HP when hit with Fairy-type moves
Dust Drain – Draws in Fairy-type attacks and raises Atk without damage. Useful in Double/Triple Battles.
Hidden Ability: Scrappy – Makes Normal and Fighting type moves land on Ghost-types and Dragon type moves land on Fairy-types.
Evolves from: Togetic (use Wing Stone)
            Togangel
            Pure Pokémon
            Type: Fairy/Flying
            Ability: Cute Charm/Serene Grace
            Hidden Ability: Super Luck
Evolves from: Togetic (use Star Stone)

          • Actually it does. Why bother changing the name? Why not make it similar to Rotom, only make them permanent evolutions. Togekiss-D or Togekiss-F or Togekiss-N.

          • Because that would make sound like Togekiss having different forms! Togegon would look more dragon-like, have an Attack and Speed stat boost, and be capable of using moves like Dragon Claw. As for Togangel, it would look more much more humanoid like. Both would have huge wings protruding from their backs.

          • So far the only Pokémon I can think of that would apply to what you just said would be a female Burmy. She evolves into Wormadam at level 20. The type and form that she will obtain depends on the cloak she wears. However, once that happens that cloak becomes permenant and cannot be changed, but each form has its own learnset.

  10. Okay it seems like stuff is going to start leaking hardcore soon. So to prevent myself from being overtly spoiled I will check the new evolution tomorrow and thats it.

Tomorrow will be the last Poke I reveal for myself. Cause I want the games to feel completely euphoric for me and since it seems like early shipments of the games are going out I refuse to spoil it for myself.

    Reply
    • Nothing is leaking that quickly. I’m 99.9999% sure that leak blog is fake and Legendary Pokemon made up that box on Twitter to demonstrate the ease of faking it.
