PokéBeach has posted some new rumors that they claim to have received from a reliable source. As always, I post these rumors for discussion purposes only, please do not post them elsewhere as confirmed information or interpret these as me posting information as real.
New Pokémon
- Trusk & its pre-evolution: Grass/Rock Pokémon with long green tusks and grey skin. Pre-evolution was described as “adorable”
- Apparachnid: Ghost-type spider Pokémon which appears in caves. It is grey with blue spots and has a glowing abdomen. May have an evolution
- Quillom: Normal/Poison procupine Pokémon. New attack with a high chance of poisoning. Its skin is white and its quills are purple
- Badger Pokémon: Name unknown, but it is dark brown with stripes and knows a new biting move
- Froakie’s Final Evolution: Water/Fighting and resembles a poison dart frog. Uses its legs to attack. Its form gets a bit heavier and it is mostly dark blue now
- Bunnelby Evolution: Ground/Dark and round. Much larger than it’s pre-evolution
- Helioptile Evolution: Stands on two legs and has two yellow triangle designs on its face now. Its appearance becomes more menacing and its ears are more rough and there are spikes going down its back. Learns the new attack Thunder Roll
- Espurr: Pre-evolution of Meowstic, very cute
Competitive Information
- Chansey-line, Dunsparce, Clefairy-line, and Togepi-line are now Fairy-type
- Fairy Dust: New attack which causes a random status condition from Paralysis, Poison, Sleep, or Burn
- A Wailmer game is shown for the Super Training Facility games
Game Information
- Team Flare is featured at the beginning of the game in a TV segment. They encourage trainers to match their style and Pokémon
- Opening cinematic in the game is 3D and features the player character watching Yveltal (Pokémon Y?) fly across the sky. More in-game shots follow
- Xerneas and Yveltal’s 3D models can be rotated using the analog stick on the title screen.

I’m getting a lot of people saying that 75% of the information the leaker posted was true. But yet it doesn’t say on his website. Is there another account or place that he is communicating from? Or is it just people being smart asses?
Anyone who uses percentages are smart asses.
Apparently, we have two leakers. The Pokebeach leaker and someone who plays him.
If this leaker is telling the truth, then I sadly think the following information is fake:
-Your Mother keeps your money like HeartGold and SoulSilver
-The second Eeveelution
-The Battle Frontier
-The 5th Gym being a Dark type Gym
-The ability Flash Freeze
-Another Rock/Ice type Pokemon
-Team Flare being on the TV in your house talking about fashion
-Inkay’s evolution method
-Bunnelby’s evolution typing (could be Normal/Ground, considering this generation has introduced a lot of special type combos)
Is there anything else that seems a little too farfetched that I’m missing?
Inkay’s evolution method was actually mentioned by WPM’s original source too. So it’s more or less true.
Well, it could be that he was making it up and that it doesn’t evolve at Level 24 with the 3DS upside down. I think they’d save that for Pokemon-Amie because little kids wouldn’t know to do that.
There is a lot in Pokemon that little kids don’t know how to do.
I’d be hoping there’s a prompt for Inkay’s evolution. “Please turn the 3DS upside down.” I’ll likely forget if not. xD
I imagine that a trainer will tell you.
Not much different from having a dark pokemon in your party to evolve Pancham. Some players don’t use multiple types so might not even realize. This evolution method was confirmed, so I wouldn’t be surprised that they’d use other methods that are beyond the leveling, stones, and other methods we’ve seen so far. They kind of did this kind of stuff with Leafeon and Glaceon.

None of the information I read in the rumors was that farfetched. I’m not saying they ARE true, but you guys are kind of stretching limits to prove it false. You simply can’t until there is evidence pointing either direction. It’s GameFreak’s game. They can do whatever they want with it, even if it sounds completely farfetched to the players.
At least the leaker isn’t hyping up anyone by saying what everyone wants to hear (e.g. Sableye and Dunsparce receive mega evolutions)

I’ve tried digging around. I checked 4chan, I’ve checked numerous fan site forums, some say it came from a German site, some say it came from a Spanish Facebook page. It’s either a really well done fake, or it is indeed real. Maybe the Pokemon revealed tomorrow will be that Froakie evolution, the next week it will be Fennekin/Chespin’s evolution, and the final week the last starter evolution?

They sent out review copies so it isn’t impossible but now is when the fake leakers take advantage of that and say they played the game, etc. The box could be fake though Legendary PKMN made fake pictures of them to teach us that it is very easy to do…

He took the information from Pokebeach’s site originally and even said it when the website was first up. After he revived the site, he removed all mention of Pokebeach. Something is really really fishy here and I don’t like it.

So number of mega evolutions are 17. Isn’t it a bit low number? We already know 8 if we discount known starters. If all starters get one that is 5*3=15?

Not really. They’re trying to emphasize new evolution methods and not reuse old ones, so I think its safe to assume that they either have a new method or classic leveling up. I didn’t like the trade thing with Karrablast & Shelmet, was a pain to make it happen (Not many poke’fans in my vicinity & online trade offers were very unrealistic)
Nintendo is probably trying to force him to make claims that what he said was fake….so people in the internet don’t start leaking this info as confirmed info.

I think it’s more like the pokebeach rumors…why weren’t they taken down. Some real info + fake info = discussion which builds hype. There will be people that think it’s fake, people that think it’s real….but it builds discussion and hype!

Not really. Mega Evolution’s are classed as Formes, not new Pokemon. All of Deoxys’s formes haven’t been included in the total number of Pokemon so why would they change it now?
So then I hope more Pokemon would be revealed! I feel bad that they have to make over 170+ Pokemon if there is more than 100+ Mega Evolutions and more than 100 new Pokemon.

The only reason why I still believe this rumor is the box art with the Wailord Super-Training Balloon! After that, I would think this is complete bulls***. Yet, as stated below. He could have just got one of the fake boxes. From like Target, Wal-Mart, GameStop (EB Games), etc. At my local GameStop they had the X & Y Boxes out! Yet, with no games. He could have just swiped one of those and made fake clams. I really just wonder now…

I think the rumors from Pokebeach come from by the real leaker and the other stuff come from the copycat. That means the boar and these stuffs might be true.
