September Corocoro Leaking! [UPD2]

[UPD2] It seems more leaks are coming any moment, as another leaker has gotten their hands on Corocoro and is uploading some pages. New, clear, and full versions of the scans we’ve seen have now been revealed, though there seems to be more to go.

[UPD1] The PokémonKorea official site has updated with details on a playable demo for XY coming to Korea. In this, they report about the Mega Evolutions. This means that Mega Evolutions are confirmed, and any other information should be taken as real as well.

This month’s issue of Corcoro has begun leaking. With new Pokémon and more! Keep checking back as we update with translations!

On Mega Evolutions

  • “Mega” Pokemon; These new supercharged versions of their previous ones are NOT traditional evolutions or forms, but happen through a “Mega Evolution” process.
  • Mega evolutions are ONLY accessible  during battle.
  • A “Megastone” seems to be a collective term for the held items used to Mega-evolve each Pokémon. In the case of Blaziken, its Megastone is called “Blazikenite”.
  • One of the gym leaders, Coruni, hold the key to these new Mega-lutions.
  • Mega Pokémon have stat changes: Lucario gets an Attack stat boost, whilst Absol gets a boost to both Attack/Speed.
  • Unknown what the stat changes for other Mega Pokémon are.
  • Mega evolutions seem to awakened temporarily in battle by holding a megastone for some Pokémon.

Getting ‘Mega’ versions are:

  • Blaziken (Fire/Fighting, ability: Speed Boost)
  • Lucario (Steel/Fighting, ability: Adaptability)
  • Ampharos (Electric/DRAGON, ability: Mold Breaker)
  • Mawile (Steel/Fairy, ability:Huge Power)
  • Mewtwo (Psychic, ability: Insomnia)
  • Absol (Dark, ability:Magic Bounce)
  • Not all Pokemon will get Mega versions.

More could be revealed!

New Pokémon, Miscellaneous

  •  Meekuru, a Grass-type Gogoat prevolution has Sap Sipper for ability.
  •  Horubii, a Normal-type rabbit-ish Pokémon, known as the “Digging” Pokémon has a new ability called “Cheek Pouch,” or Pickup.
  • Dedenne, an Electric/Fairy-type Pokémon which is the “Antennae” Pokémon, has a new ability called “Cheek Pouch,” or Pickup.
  • Speed Boost Torchic will be distributed with it’s “Mega Stone”; This Speed Boost Torchic with “Blazikenite” Distribution starts from the release date(October 12th) to January 15th, 2014.
  • Although cut off, what seems to be Super Training is mentioned! As previous leaks have pointed at, completing these games seems to raise Effort Values for the Pokémon that participate.
  • Also mentioned is the Master Tower, which has a connection to Mega Pokémon.

Also confirmed is that next month’s Corocoro is to show even more Mega Evolutions, alongside an updated type chart to show off Fairy-type.

  1. I would like to congratulate all of you for all of your fantastic comments that have gotten us to this point. The discussions have been mostly meaningful and all of us at the PJ.net staff are proud of a landmark set with genuine conversation.

  2. im not going to believe this. (even tho i love it (SOOOOO MUCH)) not until the JP pokemon site confirms it or we get better scans…. what im saying is the fact that the Korean site is the only one saying anything but thats just it it only says it no pics or anything els….. its fishy…. this could be the biggest hoax ever….. idk im exploding with conflicting feelings.

  3. So how many comments do you think there would be if all the pointless one-word comments and the completely random ones were deleted? :p

Back on topic, I’m not being a hater, but I really am starting to hope this is fake. The designs are cute, but they’re a little bland. Also, the leaker erasing his tracks? Does that not scream suspicious to you? And the fact that MegaAbsol is shown in so many areas- something just doesn’t seem right about that. And to complete my rant, am I the only one who thinks that Horubii looks like a quick sketch? To me it doesn’t seem like a Sugimori. :/

I’d be completely ok if these were real, (every Gen. has some quirks) but I hope this is all a hoax. After thinking about it all night, I don’t think I like the Megamons. I know it’s optional to get them, but I think it’s completely unnecessary; I’d rather they just tack on new evolutions to Mawile and Absol and leave the others alone.

        • Which confirms the fact that there are mega evolutions and that these scans are real.

Text is just as legitmate as a photograph on a site of that nature.

          • It is weird that Korea announced this before Japan. I guess Kim Jong-Un has been on the internet…

          • It’s likely a timing error due to the fact that the Korean staff is on a different time frame than the Japanese and English staffs for the Pokemon company. Time zones can mess with the release of information.

Things like this happen all the time when you have an international product with many subsites.

          • Oh god. I wonder what the reactions of Pokemon Facebook fans will be? I can’t even watch. I won’t. It’s gonna be Genwunner heaven and Pokemon Equality hell in there. Prepare the Houndooms!

          • Im just saying I ran all over the site and found nothing on mega evolution save the link given…….. containing only words…. no pics….. no real info….

          • The blog posts are set on a timer.

All blogs make drafts and final copies of a post long before it’s time for it to be posted, so that they can schedule them to the correct time and it’ll be posted then.

The blog post was likely improperly scheduled, or the scheduler was not made aware that the post contained sensitive information.

This is legitimate, and you’ll have to accept that sooner or later.

          • i want to but im having trust issues the new pokemon look adorable and i have big hopes of the bunny being a dark type but the fact that the site has no info on the new pokemon makes that hard for me

          • i want to i have high hopes for the rabbit i want it to be dark type but im not the type to believe blindly. i need substance all i have are rumored to be real pics and a site that jumps the gun in a blog but fails to update the rest of the site….
i may look stupid for this but i love pokemon and if this isn’t 100% real i want to know.

    • They are trying new ideas, since ‘evolution’ is getting somewhat stale now that it’s gen SIX. I can’t really blame GameFreak for trying new things. I’m somewhat neutral about this…I do like some of the designs for innovative sake, although I doubt I will use the feature in actual gameplay. I am pleased to see GameFreak still trying new things instead of rehashing, as that i what made B/W so boring.

  4. Sushi-mon and Bag of Chips-mon are confirmed fake.
So has the second Eeveelution up to this point.
(I mean, they aren’t featured so far, so they are fake as of today.)

  5. I am hoping that these are exclusive to pokemon X and Y, and pertain to the DNA theme. They should be treated like legendaries, and not be featured in other games.

    Mega Pokemon = Shadow Pokemon
X and Y Colosseum and XD

  6. Quoted from a Youtube comment “They’re all based off nordic Gods. Blaziken is Sultr (God of fire). Lucario is Forseti (God of Justice). Amphoras is Thor (God of Thunder). Mawile is Loki (God of Deception). Absol is Fortuna (Goddess of Disaster). Mewtwo is Magni (God of Power).

We know that Xerneas and Yveltal have connections to norse mythology so maybe theres a probable chance that this theory checks out. Im not really fluent in norse mythology but the fact that Absol got a random feminine looking form really makes this suspicious.”

  8. Wait, what if there’s a whole new tier for these overpowered pokes?

  9. Seems like another person got a copy, but doesn’t seem to want to upload more than one page. Keep tuning in guys, more can come at any moment. We’ll put the aforementioned page up now.

  10. You know, I think a lot of this may have to do with the Pokedex. It’s going to be 700+ at the least this gen, maybe even 800, and that means evolutions will just keep getting further and further away from their original forms. That, and I don’t think these will be classified as ‘New’ Pokemon. There could be a new dex section specifically dealing with them, but otherwise, I think they will probably be seen with the Non-Mega versions. And to kind of expand the whole competitive field too, but I think mostly this is kind of a way to update Pokemon, and also Pokemon they wouldn’t update normally due to the mechanics not allowing it *starters, legendaries, mostly* Just, how MANY Pokemon will get Mega Evolutions though. THAT is the question here. At the very least, they likely will only be final stage Pokemon. Unless they give Pikachu special mascot privledges.

  11. Am I the only one that thinks that the Pokemon shown in previous trailers will get Mega Evolutions? i.e. Snorlax, Zoroark, Gardevoir, Golurk and not to mention the special treatment Sableye’s been getting lately. I would love to see a MegaGardevoir. 🙂

  12. Why are strong pokemon getting Mega Forms.
They should give Pokémon that no-one ever uses Mega Forms. Like Who the fuck uses Kricketune online? Give us Mega Kricketune or something.
Why buff up an already uber pokemon (blaziken), god I hope all of these become Uber.
