Generation III Now Live in Pokémon GO!

It’s time to get out and GO!

The latest update for Pokémon GO has gone live and introduces a few new (but previously reported on) features to the game:

  • Added 50 Pokémon native to the Hoenn region
  • Added new weather conditions and their associated benefits and disadvantages
  • Added the ability to create Battle Parties – allowing you to create set teams for specific raids

We’ll update this post with a full list of the newly added Pokémon, moves and everything in between – stay tuned!

  1. It’s SOOOOO Weird to play Zelda again after so long. It almost feels alien to try and figure out the controls. I have so much to do since I never did the first dlc pack. I think I’ll try that first and then do the Champions ballad once that’s done.

    • I don’t think you should do Trial of the Sword before Champion’s Ballad. I didn’t try it but I know it’s a very long trial and you should go for the Champion’s Ballad which is shorter but has more originality whereas the Trial of the Sword is a strength challenger. unless ofc you want that.

      • Hmmmm oh idk…..I do know the trial of the sword ultimately makes the master sword unbreakable. That would come in handy

          • And people don’t seem to hate anime as much… Honestly.. last season of XY was amazing. And Sun n Moon definitely add the fun back to what the show was missing. Last two seasons, whole still not for everyone seem to be at their highest anime popularity in a while.

          • Um what? It wasn’t just me and Seraph, even people who liked the design said it was boring (which you admitted, people criticised it, now where did I say that people hate it, just that it was boring especially compared to other mythicals)

            Chill dude no ones saying you’re not allowed to like it, I was just explaining why Zeraora isn’t getting hyped like past mythicals were. From an objective viewpoint, it brings less to the table than Magearna (more unique type combo and sig move) and Marshadow (unique type Combo, sig move, sig Z-Move)

          • I’ve Never heard anyone say it’s boring personally. . And I’ve read a lot about it on YouTube, here, etc. I didn’t even see your comments so maybe it’s just a thing of timing. But leads me to believe it’s getting a majority favorable views.
            I have heard complaints about it’s pure electric typing. Maybe this is what they meant. Electric Fighting would of been more interesting. And for the latest legend.. something other than just plasma fist.. it doesn’t even have a z move. So maybe this is what they meant. I’m pretty sure like Zygarde they will fix this next gen. Even if not.. still my fave electric Mon.
            Otherwise.. design wise.. what could anyone else want. Being too nitpicky if it’s design is why.

          • Oh idk. It’s just something that happens and then people will talk once it’s done. This time may implicate that gen 8 is coming tho since it may be a very similar situation to when Volcanion was announced in December of 2015 and then we got Magearna and a SM announcement in February. We shall see what happens tho.

    • Oh is it on now? For some reason I thought it was gonna be on at 6 pm EST, but I guess I was an hour off. Well here we go lets see what they got.

        • I’m 99% sure it will just be the biggest non revealing 1.5 second tease ever like the first trailer for the last movie was.. just showing the starters who weren’t even in it ?

          • That teaser was at the end of the Volcanion movie tho. The only reason they did that was to keep I choose you a secret. This is supposed to be a full on teaser trailer.

          • Well yeah they won’t reveal anything other than Zeraora at best in this trailer. That said them revealing Zeraora here highly suggests that there may be a new Pokemon in the movie other than Zeraora. They usually save the main special guest gimmicks for February as far as the movies are concerned. So them showing off Zeraora now means they have a bigger surprise to reveal down the road.

          • I know the jist of it. I’ve heard enough from those I actually watch. She should email them, ask specifically what was wrong.. which it sounds like she knows.. and re upload.
            I’m guessing from what she has said, she wasn’t allowed to promote the video for whatever reason.
            I don’t even know which video she’s referring to. But it sounds like she made a normal vid then told people to see her work in rewind at the end. Edit that part out.. then reupload for the monies.
            It’s bull regardless.. but it’s likely some obscure legal issue YouTube is watching their tails for.
            Like how yugioh cards in the anime can’t look like the real ones in America.. cause it’s considered pushing people to buy a real object.

            How is she in the wrong for promoting Youtube’s own video? She spent two whole weeks doing this for no pay and now Youtube’s broken algorithm robbed her of her living. That isn’t ok

          • Ok Star. You can talk all you want.. but if YouTube could Legally take away her monetization… clealry it Is how it works, and what you’re saying Isn’t. Feelings or not.. there are rules and regulations. BS or not.. they are there. She owes YouTube a Lot more than you’ll ever know. It’s an Amazing platform. And losing monetization over 1 video that she can fix.. isn’t enough to cry days over. She will survive.. and continue to be wealthier than all of us! Js

          • She doens’t owe youtube jack sh*t. If anything, they owe her. She worked on her part of the video for two weeks and Youtube did not pay her.

            THAT IS NEVER ACCEPTABLE WHEN ASKING FOR ART TO BE DONE ESPECIALLY BY A HUGE COMPANY LIKE YOUTUBE

            Then they go on to take away her income. She has not broken any rules, check the community guidelines and tell me what rule that video broke. Not a single damn one. Their system is broken and it has been broken all year. People have to resort to stuff like Patreon just to continue doing what they love

            it is absolute bullshit. And it wouldn’t be as big a deal if there was an alternative site but there isn’t. Vimeo doesn’t reach nearly the same amount of people for it to be viable. Youtube has a stranglehold on this industry and it is continuing to f*ck over its creators

            Basically I said she does owe them Everything..
            No matter how anyone feels.
            In the old days for fame people basically had to sell their souls, sign a contract they can’t get out of.. yada yada.. for fame money and success.
            YouTube gave them a lot more than they will ever know and they have to follow the rules.. no matter how hard they are it not.
            I’m not saying I agree with YouTube.
            Rewind was excellent self Promotion gaining her a lot more views and money in the long run. Maybe even catching the eyes of a future business endeavor.
            She’s lucky af.
            YouTube is now a Brand as seen when they take away monetization for curse words.. the same way Disney won’t keep a bad behaving star around. They are saving their tails.
            Likely the rule she broke was in her contract . Even I had to sign papers to be an extra. So it may be fucked.. but oh well. She’s blessed to have made it this far and to have someone many doors open for her.. Solely from her talent and YouTube.

            People get filthy stinking rich on YouTube for there to be No rules.

            I know.. I deliver to these rich boys and girls in LA.. I’ve met plenty.
            Many of which never had a regular job to understand rules in the first place.
            But I agree.. they should tell her exactly why first.

          • Plus the smart spread out their business and really make something of themselves. YouTube “fame” won’t last forever. They are maintaining their lifestyle.. one way or another.

          • Assuming you live in America and most of your audience is also American, if you are getting 100k views on each video, depending on the length of the video (youtube is a minutes watched model) you might be able to make enough to live comfortably

            Except when demonetization happens and suddenly you lose most of the money you would’ve gotten from that video because videos are getting demonetized the moment they go up and most of the views are gotten from the first day it is uploaded.

            Most youtubers are Jake or Logan Paul with millions and millions of subscribers and millions of views on their long videos.

  13. I think the 2018 movie might be about either Ash going through time and meeting past Lusamine, an alternate time where Lillie is punk, or Zelda arrived into that world and lost her memory.

    • So it’s literally a lazy retelling of the first episode again. I guess they ran out of ideas and will make movies based on the first episode just with slight different twists.

  15. Hmmm so no immediate reveal of Zeraora. That said I still think CoroCoro will reveal it. Certainly looks like it’s a sequel to I choose you. Could be interesting. Makes sense that this gen they’d have the movies be about a version of Ash where he’s traveling. Either way we’re still not out of the woods yet. I think CoroCoro will have the exclusive on Zeraora and then in February well hear about a special Pokemon to go with it. That’s my guess tho

  20. So a Lugia movie to pair with a Ho-oh movie eh? Could be cool. At least it’ll likely be a new story. Hopefully Zeraora has a better role in this than Marshadow did in I choose you.

  21. Initial popular expectation of this movie is that it is going to be an AU centered on Johto lore. Also I it is mentioned on Serebii that this movie follows the events of Pokémon: I Choose You. Thus, does anyone think it is possible for Gen 8-assuming it is going to be released some time after this movie-will have regional Pokémon of Johto Pokémon?
