Generation III Now Live in Pokémon GO!

It’s time to get out and GO!

The latest update for Pokémon GO has gone live and introduces a few new (but previously reported on) features to the game:

  • Added 50 Pokémon native to the Hoenn region
  • Added new weather conditions and their associated benefits and disadvantages
  • Added the ability to create Battle Parties – allowing you to create set teams for specific raids

We’ll update this post with a full list of the newly added Pokémon, moves and everything in between – stay tuned!

    > Ash fights girl
    > Girl is accompanied by Zeraora for some reason
    > They decide to travel together for some reason
    > Zeraora tries to kill Legendary birds because it’s a cat and has SE stab on them
    > Ash and girl are okay with this for some reason
    > Lugia arises to kick some furry arse
    > Zeraora whilst fighting Zapdos absorbs too much electricity and goes super sayan, leaving Ash and Lugia to try and calm it because without the birds bad stuff will happen
    > Girl appears to sacrifice herself protecting Ash from Zeraora
    > Zeraora repents up in ‘killing his friend’ and stops his attacks
    > Girl wakes up and never meets Ash again because Ash likes to keep his sidehos one at a time

    Bonus points if Sorrel shows up because in movie 20 he said that after the Beasts the birds are next on his list to discover

    This is my team heading for Alola’s champion.
    Throughout my time since gen 1 this is probably my favourite and strongest team (I also have other rotation members).
    My Dragonites are always strong overpowered beasts.
    Celebi was really cool to use too.
    Snorlax and Hari are my two giant body guards.
    Magmortar is one ofmy fav DPPT evolutions
    and Gatr is arguably my all time fav starter.

    But what do you all think of the team??

  8. Actual guess about the Movie 21 plot

    ‘The Power of One’ but in the ICY!Universe

    -Lawrence, rather than having an ancient Mew card, has an ancient Zeraora card. He managed to capture Zeraora however, and is planning on using it to capture the legendary birds.

    Points for: Lawrence likes to collect Pokémon and aspires to capture unimaginably rare ones, and he uses electrified nets to catch Moltres. Zeraora is also a good legendary bird hunter due to the cat vs bird motif and being SE on two whilst being immune to Zapdos’ main STAB.

    Points against: The mythical has never truly been a villain, but it could get redeemed.

    – Ash meets Sorrel again, as he’s trying to research the legendary birds and Lugia who he knows dwell near.

    – The girl takes the place of that girl in the OG movie. She’s from the place but actually left in a fit of rebellion for another region. That’s why she has so much highlights and looks uncomfortable in the trailer, as she is finally home after going away. The Pokémon in her Ball is a Gen 8 mon, which she got on her travels. May be a regular mon, a form of an old mon, or least likely a new mythical.

    – Lawrence uses Zeraora to capture Moltres, then it fights with Ash and Co. Who’re trying to protect the birds. Pikachu vs Zeraora is more even as Quick Attack still works.

    – He flees with Moltres, but retreats as he notes that Zeraora is weak.

    – Ash and Sorrel interrogate their new friend and she spills everything, including the prophecy from the OG movie. Her destined role in it is what lead to her running away.

    – News of Zapdos being attacked. Zeraora deliberately provokes Zapdos into launching a hugely powerful Thunder in order to activate Volt Absorb. Figuring Zeraora here is where the Gen 8 Pokémon is revealed and starts playing its role. It may be an anti-Zeraora, or is shy and needs to overcome that, anything that gives it a movie arc.

    – Lawrence utterly wrecks Ash and Co. thanks to Volt Absorb. Plasma Fists is revealed and makes Quick Attack useless, so Ash can only use the NVE Iron Gail Tail. His Charizard is weak to it too, and falters during the fight. We get a dog V cat battle that ends with Lucario also fainting. Bonus points for out of nowhere Mega

      > We see Zeraora partially frozen as Articuno looks down upon it. Lawrence starts attacking it with his other mons, but Articuno flies away once it sees Moltres and Zapdos fighting.

      > Lugia arises to quell the fight, but Ash’s Pokémon are still in bad condition so he doesn’t help it. It falls and new girl must play her role in the prophecy and play the song to revitalise Lugia. After encouragement from Gen 8 mon she does it.

      > Sorrel says he thinks the prophecy applies to Ash, Ash and his Pokémon group up and help Lugia fight the birds. Sorrel and new girl fight Lawrence’s Pokémon and Zeraora. If Gen 8 mon is a regular Pokémon it evolves and becomes more confident.

      > Legendary birds get pacified by Ash and his team, Lugia then turns its attention to Zeraora, who tries to fight it.

      > Once again Zeraora wrecks the regular Pokémon but its a tougher match with Lugia. With the power of friendship, Ash seemingly defeats Zeraora. Bonus points if Mega Charizard somehow happens during this movie.

      > Congratulations and stuff as Lugia submerges and Lawrence is apprehended

      > Full of hatred, Zeraora attempts to attack Ash, but either new girl or Gen 8 mon block it and become seriously injured.

      > Seeing it hurt an innocent, Zeraora begins to repent. It carries the injured to hospital and has a bonding moment with the good guys. It then disappears, free of Lawrence’s chains.

      > In the end everyone is happy, and seeing how cool Gen 8 mon is, Ash decides to go to its native region.

      The end.

  12. So people are b i tch ing over the new art/animation style like they were with SM changes on a youtube video comments of the trailer.
    So ok we didn’t like SM style now we go back to square 1 and bi tch over the trailer?
    Like I get the everyone is entitled to their own opinion and expression of them and im cool with that but..this nagging over complaining at every opportunity that so called fans have gets under my skin.
    I mean everything everyone does is bad, people need to grow up and mix their criticism with appreciation. Must we always be negative can’t these people learn to have some balance.

          It’s all opinions, but what would we rather have? Something new and unexpected that isn’t thought of yet? Or a boring generic game we predicted or can predict play by play of?

          • Exactly. I’m saying is people complain just for the sake of it or at least that’s what it seems to me. I rarely see any appreciation. It’s like a big bunch of 5 year olds who want their dummy :]

            In my day to day life I complain about every single thing just because I have no where else to go. I had an hour long conversation with myself complaining about Cyberbulling

            And yeah its actually very funny I complain a lot about Pokémon irl about some things that tick me off *cough cough Tapu Lele being OPAF cough cough* I just don’t openly share a lot of those to keep from looking very pessimistic

        • Well can’t people find anything positive to say? Is everything Pokémon recently so bad that there is nothing positive anymore? If so then don’t complain, just stop looking at news and stop caring about it just wait till you hear something good

            If something is so flawed that everyone is pointing out the flaws, then it needs to be fixed. If you ignore flaws and just point towards whatever it is that is positive then you are doing the thing a disservice.

            Game Freak needs to do better and it isn’t going to if we just constantly give it nothing but praise and pats on the head

            Like… when a dog pees on your rug, you don’t go “aww well he’s trying his best at least he’s cute” No! You get mad and you make it clear to the dog that it can’t do that and that’s bad behavior. Ya dont give it a damn treat

          • You also don’t scold the dog endlessly calling it a lousy piece of sh*t and that it’s the worst dog in the world.

            You don’t have to point out every single miniscule flaw with the game to 100% exact detail and then continuously drone on about those flaws, besides with stuff like Gen.6 with XY, remember its there first 3d Pokémon game so of course a lot of flaws will be intact and they tried to make a good story and failed at both to a degree, they make Sun and Moon to fix that problem

            Now USUM they here so much hate coming from it, they get it now Gen.8 will compensate and fix mistakes they made now. But is a new art style really worth complaining about? It’s the animators and illustrators take on how it should be done so just learn to deal y’know…

          • If the dog keeps pissing on the floor at some point you’re going to get extremely angry until you just have to get rid of the damn dog.

            People aren’t nitpicking these games. They have so many glaring problems that it is actually insane game freak didn’t think about it. They care more about reaching a deadline than making a quality game now.

            Pokemon Switch could very well be the same thing. Rush out a product that’s only ok then charge more for the fixed game. After USUM though, you don’t even HAVE to fix the game’s flaws! How amazing is that?

            Ya know what just F U C K modern gamefreak at this point. Ya know most of the series was actually trying to make a good experience for the player and pack it with meaningful content that will keep players coming back and what has so far concluded the series is a boring slog that holds your hand the entire way through and never ever letting you explore the world on your own.

            Now you have to follow their mediocre story with mediocre repetitive gameplay with horrible pacing because gamefreak didn’t want to delay the game to make any of it actually good. They just want to release it to make their paycheck.

            Pokemon Switch is their opportunity to redeem themselves but more than likely it will be rushed for a 2018 release date and they will reveal everything in the months before the game comes out.

            God im so fucking sick of gamefreak’s bullshit. I want something on par with HGSS or BW or B2W2 or Emerald. Something with some actual passion put into it. The only passion I see put into this game is from the artists and character designers.

          • Well what if Nintendo is the real villain? What if they realize Pokémon is the biggest game in history (literally its in the top 3 most popular games in history and possibly has the biggest fan base of all time) so maybe they are pushing GF and if they don’t meet the deadline they cut them off and take it for themselves putting all the workers at GF out of business as its the only game they have left

            If this is true you have said quite a few times you would love if Nintendo took over completely, so you’d be happy putting hundreds maybe even thousands out on the streets. Such a nice person to wish that on people

          • No it isn’t. He isn’t saying we shouldn’t criticise. He is saying we should praise that which is positive.

            Going by your example of the dog.

            E.g. a young puppy learns how to walk or litter outside. It should be rewarded or given a positive reaction.
            Someone helps you out. You should thank them.
            I mean I guess you feel a world were we bash people with light sabers in good or bad, is ideal. Oh man where’s my popcorn at :]

          People can have any opinion they wish whether it adheres to the majority or not.

    • Um, what? This makes absolutely no sense. People are allowed to dislike both artstyles. It’s called having an opinion. This artstyle is different from any before seen in the anime, so of course it can be ignored. It’s also received positivity on here.

      If anything, you need to grow up and accept that people can have negative opinions. The people who do haven’t drowned out the positive ones or attacked the people who have shared their positive opinions. It’s nothing like USUM discussion which I can agree goes too far sometimes in both directions. This is literally just ‘oh a new art style, I am/am not a fan of it’.

      Fans are allowed to criticise. You can still like something and find flaws with it. Someone can also be a fan of some parts of a franchise and not a fan of other parts, for example not being a fan of this artstyle but liking the SuMo one or vice versa.

      This is extreme black and white thinking to the point you’re exaggerating the negative. People just said ‘I don’t like it’ because as you said, people are entitled to their opinions. There’s people who saw every series and thought to themselves ‘oh, I don’t like the animation now’, it’s just that because this movie and SuMo had drastic art changes that the opinions are coming across much more strongly.

      We literally had games in this franchise that warned against black and white thinking. A ‘so called fan’ would pick up on this and realise that even when negativity exists, both themselves and the negative person can have their opinions co-exist and even ignore each other if they choose to do so.

            Feel free to be offended or write a whole counter essay pointing out my flaws. I’m an adult and I can handle opinions without playing victim. I can make mistakes – a lot of the time – and I do acknowledge them when they’re called out. I know how to accept negative opinions on things I like because I know where the minimise and block buttons are. Learn them, love them, live them.
