It’s time to get out and GO!
The latest update for Pokémon GO has gone live and introduces a few new (but previously reported on) features to the game:
- Added 50 Pokémon native to the Hoenn region
- Added new weather conditions and their associated benefits and disadvantages
- Added the ability to create Battle Parties – allowing you to create set teams for specific raids
We’ll update this post with a full list of the newly added Pokémon, moves and everything in between – stay tuned!

The trials are a fair bit harder, some are just frustrating though. The Illusionary realm bosses suck though.
I beat it, effing metal cubes that were behind me the entire time
It’s like in Xenoblade, you need to get on a roof and then take some stairs, but the path leading the stairs is blocked off by a gate you cant smash if you don’t have the right blade. Turns out you just had to walk 5 meter to the other stair between a narrow gap right next to it. Why do they even put the gate over there?

The puzzles in BotW are so incredibly simplistic. Like a 5 year old could do them. Not difficult like previous zelda dungeons
It’s actually pretty difficult IMO, the puzzles are pretty confusing and the motion controls are torture. Also I hate how they limit you to a little amount of items for the boss rematches.

Ok update. I ahev ow caught 2 Zigzagoons, a Wurmple, and a Poochyena. How is it htis hard to find gen 3 Pokemon? Granted the only place I’ve actually been so far while looking is work and not much spawns there other than rodents and bugs, but still…..
I drove like 15 mins away and found only the three I did
And oddly Wurmple is super rare, as I’ve seen like 15 Weedle, not only on radar for Wurmple

-Mega’s for Weavile, Tropius, Noctowl, Darmanitan, Cryogonal, Floatzle and more
-Sinnoh forms for a few Pokémon including Heatmor, Durant, Bunnelby line and more
– The Adamant and Lustrous orbs, are used and Mega evolve Dialga and Palkia respectively
-Girtina gets also Mega evolves in a delta episode estique style (But way better than ORAS’s way)
-Special side quest that adds Darkrai as an in game encounter
-Battle Frontier Post game adds all previous E4, Champion, Gym Leaders and evil team leaders and other big characters join it as various battleable characters
-Seasons are added that make certain areas encounters differ
-Roark joins his father to become a Double Battle gym and a new gym in Jubilife City is opened being a Normal gym, but you still now must stop and defeat team Galactic and get Rock Smash in Oreburgh City
-Honey trees still exist, but are shortened time restraints to only waiting two hours apart from each other
-Bertha retires and resides in the Resort area kinda like a semi gym post game
-Lucius (Psychic guy) steps down as E4 member and plays a more prominent role in-game
-Volkner takes Lucius’s place and a new Fairy specialist joins the E4 in Bertha’s place
-Bertha’s new kid takes SunnyShore Gym and makes it Ground type

I know evolutions happens in but places like Hawaii that had no human interaction for a looong time we got to see amazing and beautiful evolving of animals which makes sense for Alola forms to already be there. But sinnoh (which is based on a place in japan) seemingly had human interaction a long time. So it wouldn’t make as much sense. Another reason they did Alola forms is to surprise fans of the people of the Changes to Gen 1 Pokemon since they been the same for a while. Kanto- Sinnoh Pokemon have already been in Sinnoh. So I wouldn’t make sense for them. Unova-Alola Pokemon are fairly new so it’s not like a big shock if they got new forms and wouldn’t match thatvreason either.
Fam, human interaction is what caused half the Alola forms. AloPix and AloPersian happened because humans changing something about the Pokémon, same with AloMuk.
Animals can evolve with or without humans.
And by the time we get Sinnoh remakes, anyone calling Unova ‘new’ probably isn’t the brightest because they’ll be a decade old

Explain I haven’t even gotten to the First DLC/Hardmode because I wanted to Complete regular Mode 120 Shrines or whatever yet and got bored and distracted.
So after playing with the Master Cycle I can deduce (hehehe duce) its capabilities
-Handles pretty smoothly as you would expect from motorcycle physics
-has decent top speed I can’t do horse side by side comparison yet but it’s pretty fast
-the short hops are not too great but it’s a motorbike so I’m not expecting it to leap into the air
-you can vault yourself into the air for quick time shooting but the mounted combat is relatively the same
-lastly is the fuel, this thing has a fuel tank that is refilled via ancient materials (screws, springs shafts) and its pretty fuel efficient gets a whole refuel with 10 screws

I call it the culmination of all the trials, going around Alola again to places at the beginning of ur adventure to battle all the trial captains is a great addition by GF.
I think this is a significant upgrade over SM. Lengthening the main game and challenge.

I hope Gen 8 has Gyms Again, or at least better Puzzles… I’m worried Zelda and Pokemon are Ignoring their Puzzles.
Also I do think HMs are annoying but I did really like the Interactions in Gens 3 and 4 where you needed Badge to use this thing you got earlier. Especially the Part in Snowpoint and Lake Acuity in Platinum.

It isn’t hard? At all? You walk up to the rats and press A. Then you fight Team Skull to do it again.
Honestly Team Skull is the most enjoyable part of it but that’s simply because of the writing. It isn’t interesting. At all.
Well look at it this way. It’s a lot more interesting than the “first gym battles” you get in preceding games which are usually a bland rock leader or something!

If the Version Differences weren’t so Minor They would be better. If there was some Major Difference between 2 versions(on the level of you take a different path through the region or the order of Gyms is Changed, ya know, changes usually reserved for 3rd Versions) it would be awesome.

There were a Lot of Puzzles in BotW, they were shorter individual ones too… Also we only had Bombs Ice Pillar Stop Time Magneto and Arrows and Occasionally Fire Arrows to work with. Not to say they were able to pull off a myriad of puzzles with them.

Yes, that Always freaks me out. I don’t think I’ve ever used a Stone Evolution Pokemon because of that Either, except Eevee because Eeveelutions don’t do that for the obvious reasons.

Mines a mix of a dark maze with strength and rock smash boulders

In my head. A dark type gym in a castle. You go through different rooms traversing the castle. Basically it’s a mystery on how you get to the leader, but through clues you find secret passages and rooms, which will eventually lead you to a dumbwaiter that takes you up to the tallest spire, which is a secret library overlook tower holding the gym leader. This would be the 8th gym so it would be quite expansive

Blaziken looks pretty cool to me, which holds the title of best Fire-type Starter to me. But I do respect your opinion. Emboar on the other hand, imo, is the worst Fire Starter.

I’ve been working on Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2 and I finished it off with a bit of Stardew Valley as my battery died
How fast would you say your battery drained, I had to download the DLC undocked and it was down to like 90% over the course of fifty minutes
Why is battery percentage such a damn issue for me!!!!! Everything was fine a few months ago but the day after my birthday I noticed my iPad draining fast and now I am obsessed with making sure the batteries on anything don’t drop out of fear that running out of power equals damage or breaking
Undocked switch drains like a bitch because it’s even stronger than the 3DS but is still a handheld.
Your stuff is probably old. People specifically upgrade their electronics because decaying battery. They can’t last forever because the chemical reactions that cause them to work are finite.

No actually because in 2D, you can get away with more. You don’t have to specify. You piece it together in your mind. When you put it in 3D, you have more you have to stipulate on.
What? Everyone I knew pretty much knew that he tried to kill you. If you’re talking about the Lillie scene in RR, I pretty sure the only reason they didn’t show him directly hitting her is to keep the E rating.
I never hear anyone bring that up idk.
And the scene in Rainbow Rocket is a failure in every way. It isn’t that he didn’t hit her on screen, it’s that you have no reason to believe this guy would actually do something to her. There are no stakes because the threat isn’t real.
I’m a bit iffy on this point. On one point, I don’t take any of the Pokemon villians in the main series seriously (which I think is more of a problem with how Gamefreak writes it’s villains–meaning they stink at it) Most of the time, they’re just comic relief and most of the time they’re not funny. The only exception I found with this is team skull because somehow, Gamerfreak is pretty aware that they’re villians aren’t taken seriously and sometimes ( note sometimes) the execution of team skull being a joke worked.(which is a problem of it’s own–I mean why have them there if you aren’t going to give them conflict for your story?).
On the other hand, Ghetsis is the same guy who threatened to kill you with a Pokemon. I’m guessing to some people that gives him some more credibility to be more of a dick, but the scene fails (in my opinion) for more of the fact that Colress comes out gets rid of him in the next scene, removing any tension whatsoever.
So in writing this “Pokemon USUM review not really a USUM review but more of a modern pokemon review”, I’m laying out my points. One of my topics is the role of the player character and each game after gen 2 gets progressively longer until Gen 6 is an entire paragraph… .-.
If you’re going to review it as a whole, you might want to seperate you’re sections more clearly. It helps

Its so hard to stay motivated to make this.. I’m just not passionate about modern pokemon. I’m really not. It isn’t the series I fell in love with. I fell in love with the simple journey of HGSS where I was just a kid catching rad pokemon. The biggest difference now is that I don’t have time to poke around and find rare pokemon because the world is at stake and the gods of Life and Death are captured oh no and there’s a meteor and uh oh Lusamine is opening up space portals.
And yeah, Gen 4 did this with Dialga Palkia and Giratina but the game never slowed you down to tell this to you. You could still explore at your own pace.
Gen 6 and 7 has to constantly stop you. You gotta stop to talk to your dumb friends, stop to learn how to catch a pokemon (some times after already catching pokemon yourself *cough* oras *cough*) you have to stop to get your rotom dex you gotta stop to do boring story tasks that never ask of your skill at the game, but rather your attention span
Think of the positive; Pokemon Switch is going to be amazing.

I’d consider Scrooge a developing one, I mean he starts off fairly stereotypically cheap and ignorant but at the end he’s quite developed.

I think Earthenezer Scrooge will be sour and cold at first, then transform into a more sarcastic role more like a “Oh what the Hell, I’ll join”

Climate change can and will affect almost every living thing at some point till everything either adapts or dies off because of it. Note today it may be Polar bear who are suffering, but tomorrow it could be us! I don’t know how you can prevent climate change individually, but every little action counts.

Although I’m not Earthen, I’d say that it’s definitely worth the money. Challenging, tons of puzzles, one-hit challenge at the start that can be compared to Galaxy’s Daredevil comets, amazing ending plot twist boss, cute new cutscenes, amazing new rune, etc…

Although yes, the story wasn’t what I also was expecting, it was still quite fun nevertheless and the dungeon was actually tricky. I don’t know what a traditional dungeon is as this is my first LoZ game, but I do know it’s a pretty complex dungeon that certainly takes a half hour at least.

Step 3: Enjoy the best zelda dungeon gameplay. A dungeon in that games takes between 2-3 hours.

I do not agree with the statement that all Pokémon of one species are the same. I envision a future where regardless of form, each Pokémon will have its own personal Dex number: that will function as their Social Security Number.

The first one actually is quite simple why only Nidoran can breed from the group of 6
It’s due to fact of Genders, as the forms share a very unique trait of sharing a dex entry, but having two seperate gender ratio’s at 100% (Forms still have have typical ratio’s of 50/50, 87.5/12.5, 75/25, etc.), but Nidoran is basically two seperate Pokémon that are still similar enough to be classified as the same.
This sets the difficulty of the process as if Nidoking and Queen bred the computer would have an anomaly in its hands of which form becomes the gender of the child and which doesn’t as it would be set to need to calculate 100% or 100% which it is incapable of doing as it wasn’t programmed that way.
It could possibly be a simple fix on GF’s part, but instead they decided to just sterilize the evolutions. I hope you can make heads or tails of my post
Nidoran Male ans Female are seperate Pokemon because gen 1… Also Nidoking can breed with Ditto to make Nidoran Female… And Volbeat and Illumise can breed with ditto and get eggs that are the other one… Which they should do with Miltank and tauros as well.

Combining these two makes it clear that the car is powering the turbine. (compared to a wind turbines, which stands still and the air moves, and the axial force the air exerts does no work).

Well, you do extract a little bit of energy from the air, but you’ll only extract as much as (wind speed relative to ground – wind speed after leaving (which can be zero)). That’s never enough for the drag it causes.
So as I thought, the Increased Drag would outweigh the potential amount of energy generated by the air being displaced by the moving car pushing the turbine
Meh nah, you can just use Amiibo and then use the items it gives as fuel.

I think the reason of the pushing Zoraora in the 7th gen is cuz they wouldn’t to introduce any gen 8 pkmn in the next movie ………I think Zoraora will act like a hero against Necrozma and the UBs.

Necrozma and the UBs can easily be in the main anime because the Mother Beast plot has already been done and they haven’t even reached Ula’ula yet.
Movie 21 will mean that Alola had used all three of its mythicals. Magearna was revealed before SuMo. Mega Mewtwo Y wasn’t revealed before XY iirc, but we knew we’d probably have a Gen 6 Pokémon in the Genesect movie because Genesect was revealed so early. This can easily happen again with Zeraora being revealed soon and then we get a new Pokémon revealed in February time.
There’s nothing but Zeraora left to surprise is about in the movie. The surprise of the Keldeo movie was Keldeo being revealed and then it getting a form. The surprise of the Shaymin movie was the same, which is also true of the Hoopa and Diancie movies, as they had forms in upcoming or recent games to show. Zeraora can’t get a new form as it doesn’t have one in USUM, unless it gets one in Gen 8 in which case they’d still be promoting Gen 8 which a new Pokémon also accomplishes.
You know what other mythical didn’t have a form or anything? Volcanion. You know what got revealed in Volcanion’s movie? Magearna, a new Pokémon. A new Pokémon may not be in the movie but you’re the delusional one if you think that it’s impossible. You are (thankfully) not the person in charge of the movie lol

So let’s think for a moment. Say gen 8 isn’t next year. What do people think the special twist will be for next movie. I’m having a hard time with this. I suppose it could be the very fact that Zeraora even exists, but that seems like a weird call seeing as even when that’s the point the new mythical revealed usually has something up its sleeve. I’m not crazy familiar with it, but it sounds like Zeraora doesn’t have much going for it. Given that USUM are the last games in gen 7 and there won’t be anymore 3ds era games we can rule out a form or whatever. So other than that it just exists what is so marketable about Zeraora? If we look back at past movies in relation to the games there is always at least something that makes the movie a little more special other than just the mythical being in it. Like the Diancie movie had its mega evolution, or the Hoopa movie had its form. Even if we want to stay away from the Volcanion movie which had Magearna we can still go back even further and see the precedent that has been set. The Giratina movie not only had its form, but also Shaymin and its form. The Genesect movie had Mega Mewtwo Y. The Keldeo movie had it in general and then its form and Kyurem BW. So I have a hard time believing that the simple addition of a single mythical that has seemingly nothing going for it would be enough of a surprise factor for them to coast on for the entire year. There would need to be one last thing to make people want to go see the movie like how past movies had forms. The problem this time is that we know for a fact that USUM are the last gen 7 games and 3ds games in general. So it’s not like how in gen 6 we had ORAS to give us Hoopas new form or in gen 5 we had BW2 to give us the Keldeo/Kyurem forms, or in gen 4 when we got Platinum to give us the Giratina/Shaymin forms. Other than a new gen there’s really nothing else that would be a shock factor.
Maybe Zera gets a boost in gen 8 seen early in the movies
But why would they do that? Why introduce a Pokemon it to make it better in a different gen? It makes sense when they do it within a gen, but it doesn’t between gens.

If it is Zeraora it could be the first hint at a 2018/early 2019 PokéSwitch
If Zeraora is being revealed now I’d say the Switch game is much more likely coming out in late 2018. We’ll prolly get a gen 8 mascot for the movie next month or more likely in February. As well as an official announcement of the new game
Yup, this is what happened with Volcanion and Magearna. Depending on when the game releases, we can realistically see it revealed Jan-March if it’s coming 2018 ( going off of XY and SM’s reveal/release spaces of 9 months)

Because if it’s being revealed now, there’s nothing major to reveal in February and May(?). There’s no upcoming current gen games where Zeraora has a form or move, meaning anything new for it would be a Gen 8 tease.
December is usually when the star that’s already known about is revealed along with a pre-emptive title of the movie. Feb reveals he mythical, and then May(?) is when the mythical gets a form reveal if it has one. Examples:
Giratina movie
Giratina’s presence > Shaymin Reveal > Sky Form
Kyurem movie
Kyurem’s presence > Keldeo Reveal > Resolute Form
Diancie movie
Xern/Yvel’s presence > Diancie Reveal > Mega Diancie
However, if Zeraora is revealed now, it can’t be the Feb or May slot, and all other Gen 7 Pokémon are public knowledge whilst Zeraora is a leak. Thus, any surprises will be Gen 8 content, or (if they allow such poor marketing) anime exclusive. If Zeraora is revealed now, it’ll be like the Genesect and Volcanion movies.

I mean it definitely looks exactly like the upper part of the head. They don’t need to show the entire thing. If they’re going through the trouble of silhouetting it then it makes little difference if they show the entire body or not. Also it’s by the Pokemon stuff on the cover so there’s really very little else it could be.

(Marked in navy blue again) whose angle is way more acute, not only that but the ears are way more squarey and polygonal than Zero’s.
The art may be a little weird tho depending on the angle and pose of it. I know it’s not totally the same from what we can see, but let’s say they had silhouetted Dusk Lycanroc’s image. It would look off too. Either way the silhouette looks like Zeraora enough to jump to that conclusion and it’s even by the other Pokemon stuff. Sure it COULD be something else, but it’s also just as likely to be Zeraora if not more so. At this point it’s too covered up to come to the conclusion that it ISN’T it, but I’ll concede that it also may be too early to call it for sure as being it either.
UsUm was considered a flop… So it definitely makes sense. Though I personally love the games.

I had a really bad experience with Heliolisk in X. Thing was awful. Add that onto its unfinished design and you’ve got yourself a winner. It needed an evolution. If it makes you feel any better, mega manectric was super close for 1st place

Well yes I do think this torso is over designed, there’s just too much going on in some areas, but there are parts of it I like.

Incineroar has one of my favorite designs… Honestly. He’s so courageous! I understand people are upset it came from Litten.. but this gens starters are supposed to have all been kids who’ve gone through puberty to find who they really are.
I understand it has a fighting vibe.. GF set it up for failure due to all the past fire fighters. But if you look at it as a Pokemon of its own. .. it’s really quite original and amazing looking.. with excellent battle movements. He’s like Crash bandicoot mixed with Tony the tiger lol. I love him. While his stats are good… And even.. I don’t think it can outdo any of the other popular fire types tho.. it has no real niche. maybe it’s def? I hope Gen 8 gives it Something.

Same here, especially the three-part armour outfits as the Royal Guard Armour is located throughout Hyrule Castle and without a guide it’d be hard to look all around whilst avoiding the eyes of the Guardians and accidentally triggering the battle with Ganon.

Remove Lileep, Dusclops, quagsire and Beedrill and this list is pretty valid
For Lileep I put it there because it looks like a rotten Sunflora.
Dusclops looks just really weird.
Quagmire is literally a Ditto who has permanently stuck with a Wooper’s body.
Beedrill is creepy but its mega is amazing.

You’re in a desolate forest with nothing or no one around for miles. The sun is setting, which will cast a veil of darkness over the forest that will make finding your freedom much harder.
A strange man is in front of you, claiming to be part of some corporation that will soon rule the world. He gets ready to steal all your camping supplies, having already scared off your friends. As he commands his black Rattata to attack however, three Pokémon jump to your aid. A Paras, a Dewpider, and a Larvesta. Which do you command in your battle against the strange man?
I command a Dewpider and say “Call out your arachnid friends!” Nodding, it screech out a cry all arachnids share. Soon, Ariadoses, Galvantulas, Araquanids and their pre-eves all pop out and begins to show off their bitter, sharp fangs. They surround the man and veil him with webs. First, the Araquanids suck his inner water dry so he’d be dehydrated. Galvantula would then shock him to paralyze the man followed by a quick dose of poison. The pre-eves would carry the man off into the forest and you’d be rewarded by a shiny pre-evo of either of the three.

Larvesta is the most obvious choice for a few reasons
Not only is it that most likely this Rattata is Alolan meaning all three have a good chance of victory, but in long term Larvesta can grant you light so you can still navigate the forest and can help light fires that will keep you warm and save energy from looking for firewood.
Paras is the second choice as it is a night time Pokémon used to navigating dark places such as forests and caves so it can aid you, but has the drawback of if you can’t see it, then the reason to have it there is pointless
Dewpider may be cute, but is basically useless for finding your way as the only true way it can help is by providing fresh water for you (which you most likely already have)
So I pick Larvesta

Paras likely knows Stun Spore, Sleep Powder or Spore, doing any of these will allow me to immobilise and kill him.
Lighting itself ablaze, I command Larvesta to attack the Rattata. The man sniggers as he commands a Super Fang, but Larvesta simply disregards him as his charge is halted with a String Shot. The young moth then simply charges at its foe with its wreath of flames, putting him out of commission.
The newly christened Saul assists me in getting back home by providing light and warmth.
Paras, has a lot of useful tricks like spores that could cripple the Rat with poison and paralisis
But paras dies to everything and Dewpider literally nukes them ;3

In the middle of exploring a dark, seaside cave, you hear muffled cries for hell. You and Paras/Larvesta/Dewpider decide to investigate. It’s a strange woman dressed in a similar fashion to the man form earlier.
Her black Raticate has subdued three different, rare Pokémon. A Lileep, a Slugma, and a Binacle. You can use your partner to free one before she notices, but the other two will likely be lost as her allies will soon arrive. Which of the three Pokémon do you choose?
I choose a Binnacle. After I free the Binacle, I take out my six shiny Barbaracle and they all help nurse the Binacle up.
It’s meant to be a journey from scratch, not using your in game teams 😡
OK then I use Dewpider to rescue it and nurse it back to health.
I would have to go for Lileep as it is probably the rarest of the 3 and I could possibly take on her Pokémon if give a certain amount of time with the two

Lileep, it gets confuse ray which could help if we get caught. Also Suction Cups could help us escape.

While you’re walking down through a rocky cavern, you hear three muffled voices.
On the left corner, you see a Diancie struggling to get out, who was being chased by a horde of Sableye on the walls. In the middle, you see a Regirock threatened by a massive Milotic, who had it in her wet wet grasp. On the right, you see a baby Piplup, about to swallow a Cosmoem. Who do you rescue?

While you did that:
Diancie was eaten alive and Carbink (the species) slowly is wiped out.
Regirock is crushed to death and Milotic eats its rocky parts.
Cosmoem is swallowed and makes Piplup weigh so heavy, its mother abandons it and kicks it into the nearby lake. It would later be eaten by Milotic.
That’s pretty dark even for Pokémon
TBF Sableye is part Dark type.

Decidueye would hold the foe down while creating a tailwind to speed up the Salandit while the salandit would poison the immobile target to wear it down
I think Mareanie. It also has the Limber ability in case they try to paralyze it. It can Poison Back with Toxic, has the ability to Recover its’ own health and potentially the ability to set Toxic Spike traps. Also if the professor is able to help it learn Scald we have the ability to burn.

If you think that’s sad then I should tell you that my best hype season was SM and is the only one as well.

I don’t think you should do Trial of the Sword before Champion’s Ballad. I didn’t try it but I know it’s a very long trial and you should go for the Champion’s Ballad which is shorter but has more originality whereas the Trial of the Sword is a strength challenger. unless ofc you want that.

Well yeah they won’t reveal anything other than Zeraora at best in this trailer. That said them revealing Zeraora here highly suggests that there may be a new Pokemon in the movie other than Zeraora. They usually save the main special guest gimmicks for February as far as the movies are concerned. So them showing off Zeraora now means they have a bigger surprise to reveal down the road.

I think CoroCoro will have the exclusive on Zeraora and then in February well hear about a special Pokemon to go with it. That’s my guess tho

This is my team heading for Alola’s champion.
Throughout my time since gen 1 this is probably my favourite and strongest team (I also have other rotation members).
My Dragonites are always strong overpowered beasts.
Celebi was really cool to use too.
Snorlax and Hari are my two giant body guards.
Magmortar is one ofmy fav DPPT evolutions

Actual guess about the Movie 21 plot
‘The Power of One’ but in the ICY!Universe
-Lawrence, rather than having an ancient Mew card, has an ancient Zeraora card. He managed to capture Zeraora however, and is planning on using it to capture the legendary birds.
Points for: Lawrence likes to collect Pokémon and aspires to capture unimaginably rare ones, and he uses electrified nets to catch Moltres. Zeraora is also a good legendary bird hunter due to the cat vs bird motif and being SE on two whilst being immune to Zapdos’ main STAB.
Points against: The mythical has never truly been a villain, but it could get redeemed.
– Ash meets Sorrel again, as he’s trying to research the legendary birds and Lugia who he knows dwell near.
– The girl takes the place of that girl in the OG movie. She’s from the place but actually left in a fit of rebellion for another region. That’s why she has so much highlights and looks uncomfortable in the trailer, as she is finally home after going away. The Pokémon in her Ball is a Gen 8 mon, which she got on her travels. May be a regular mon, a form of an old mon, or least likely a new mythical.
– Lawrence uses Zeraora to capture Moltres, then it fights with Ash and Co. Who’re trying to protect the birds. Pikachu vs Zeraora is more even as Quick Attack still works.
– He flees with Moltres, but retreats as he notes that Zeraora is weak.
– Ash and Sorrel interrogate their new friend and she spills everything, including the prophecy from the OG movie. Her destined role in it is what lead to her running away.
– News of Zapdos being attacked. Zeraora deliberately provokes Zapdos into launching a hugely powerful Thunder in order to activate Volt Absorb. Figuring Zeraora here is where the Gen 8 Pokémon is revealed and starts playing its role. It may be an anti-Zeraora, or is shy and needs to overcome that, anything that gives it a movie arc.
– Lawrence utterly wrecks Ash and Co. thanks to Volt Absorb. Plasma Fists is revealed and makes Quick Attack useless, so Ash can only use the NVE Iron Gail Tail. His Charizard is weak to it too, and falters during the fight. We get a dog V cat battle that ends with Lucario also fainting. Bonus points for out of nowhere Mega

> Full of hatred, Zeraora attempts to attack Ash, but either new girl or Gen 8 mon block it and become seriously injured.
> Seeing it hurt an innocent, Zeraora begins to repent. It carries the injured to hospital and has a bonding moment with the good guys. It then disappears, free of Lawrence’s chains.
> In the end everyone is happy, and seeing how cool Gen 8 mon is, Ash decides to go to its native region.

You don’t have to point out every single miniscule flaw with the game to 100% exact detail and then continuously drone on about those flaws, besides with stuff like Gen.6 with XY, remember its there first 3d Pokémon game so of course a lot of flaws will be intact and they tried to make a good story and failed at both to a degree, they make Sun and Moon to fix that problem
Now USUM they here so much hate coming from it, they get it now Gen.8 will compensate and fix mistakes they made now. But is a new art style really worth complaining about? It’s the animators and illustrators take on how it should be done so just learn to deal y’know…

People aren’t nitpicking these games. They have so many glaring problems that it is actually insane game freak didn’t think about it. They care more about reaching a deadline than making a quality game now.
Pokemon Switch could very well be the same thing. Rush out a product that’s only ok then charge more for the fixed game. After USUM though, you don’t even HAVE to fix the game’s flaws! How amazing is that?
Ya know what just F U C K modern gamefreak at this point. Ya know most of the series was actually trying to make a good experience for the player and pack it with meaningful content that will keep players coming back and what has so far concluded the series is a boring slog that holds your hand the entire way through and never ever letting you explore the world on your own.
Now you have to follow their mediocre story with mediocre repetitive gameplay with horrible pacing because gamefreak didn’t want to delay the game to make any of it actually good. They just want to release it to make their paycheck.
Pokemon Switch is their opportunity to redeem themselves but more than likely it will be rushed for a 2018 release date and they will reveal everything in the months before the game comes out.
God im so fucking sick of gamefreak’s bullshit. I want something on par with HGSS or BW or B2W2 or Emerald. Something with some actual passion put into it. The only passion I see put into this game is from the artists and character designers.

There’s people who saw every series and thought to themselves ‘oh, I don’t like the animation now’, it’s just that because this movie and SuMo had drastic art changes that the opinions are coming across much more strongly.
We literally had games in this franchise that warned against black and white thinking. A ‘so called fan’ would pick up on this and realise that even when negativity exists, both themselves and the negative person can have their opinions co-exist and even ignore each other if they choose to do so.

Sure the middle colour is white whereas the colour of that collar is yellow, but it looks more similar to Latvia’s than Spain.

If the next region is Spain, it seems a little small to me. Would be a perfect testing ground though for Game Freak. For them to see what the hardware can do. I just hope that the Generation 8 games aren’t rushed if they release in 2018. All evidence seems to point to Generation 8 coming out next year though. Especially if we get Zeraora in this month’s CoroCoro. Volcanion came out in December 2015, then Magearna in February 2016 and Generation 7 later that year.

That’s true. Got to think positively. At least if it is Spain, most of it will be on one whole landmass instead of spread out like Alola’s islands due to it being based on Hawaii. I can see a Kalos size region for the debut game on the Switch. France is actually to the north of Spain now that I think about it. And Portugal is right next door to the west. Could possibly serve as a post-game area too. One could dream. Again though, this is all speculation.
It’s a essentially a big circular shape. Yeah I’d say that’s pretty perfect for something that works a little different. Especially if they’re working with bigger areas this time around

– Istanbul (yeah, it’s a city, but it’d be pretty interesting if they’d twist things up and made half of it Greek-influenced and half Turkish-influenced)
– Germany (would be pretty neat to see German-influenced buildings and a replication of the Berlin Wall)
– Finland (I love Finland and their silent but deadly attitudes are inspirational. Also their winters are amazing.)
– Brazil (the vast jungles to explore!)
I think Greek/Turkey or even Egyptian would be the best.

I doubt GF are under fire from Nintendo. They’ve stated that they basically have almost all the freedom they want. As far as the game being BOTW standard I’d say people need to calm down. It likely won’t be like BOTW. at least not exactly. It may not even be open world. IT’s hard to say at this point.

Crap……I just had a thought……I know Spain is in the running for the gen 8 region, but hear me out. What if this years movie and next years movie are hints at what’s to come. What if the new Switch game is a game that once again takes us through Kanto and Johto? It’d make sense for them to cover both regions prior to the game if that was the case. why else would they make movie 2018 a Johto specific movie? It made some sense this year with I choose you since it was the anime’s anniversary, but next year is nothing. Why bother? Why not just make this year’s movie a special little thing and then go back to it being regular Ash where he has a mini adventure with the current cast? IT would make sense for them to want to go back to the beginning for a game that would essentially be the start of a new era. Just food for thought.
Kanto….again? No offence to Kanto but they’re seriously milking it now. I mean, with Gen 6’s Mega Gen 1 starters and able to get a Gen 1 starter there, to Gen 7 having tons of Kanto references and basically being an archipelago founded by Kantonians, to the ICY movie, to Gen 8 also having Kanto? Sorry, but Kanto at this point is getting quite sickening.

To be fair we haven’t actually gone to Kanto since 2010. (09 for Japan) and the last time we went there as an actual part of the story was back in 04. It’s been a long while since the region itself has made an appearance. I do get that people are sick of all the hints and nods and all the pandering, but the region itself hasn’t been nearly pushed down our throats as people say it has.
You’re starting to sound like that Lockstin guy that is forecasting the “end of Pokemon” after Sun and Moon and it’s scaring me. Lol. I just want a normal Generation 8 with new Pokemon as well as all the old ones that we know and love. That’s all I want.
I’m not saying ti’s the end. It would be a brand new story, but maybe incorporate old characters and locations. They could even revamp both regions by adding new areas and changing the layouts of certain cities. Also I’m not saying that’s necessarily what I want. Just and idea is all

More my Snowman Pokémon than anything
Honestly I keep hearing people say the Switch game will be rushed if it comes out next year, but to be realistic it sounds like SM/USUM were actually the rushed games. (as great as they were). They already stated that during USUM’s production they had a large majority of the crew working on the Switch game compared to USUM. Plus last year Ohmori stated that the Trials were a last minute addition. Why would such a integral part of the game be a last minute addition in which he himself had to code almost by himself if they had their full team on? It seems to me that While they wanted the 20th anniversary games to be special, they also knew that they’d need to be spending a large amount of time on the Switch game. Anyone that says that GF didn’t at least know about the Switch back then is out of their minds. GF is one of Nintendo’s biggest partners so they would prolly tell them first about a new console so that they’d know what’s up.

My fear with the Switch game is that they are going to reboot the series with entirely new Pokemon and mechanics and get rid of all the stuff that we know and love that has made the series what it is so far. This is probably extremely unlikely and I’m likely overthinking things way too much. At the same time though, I can’t see Game Freak and Nintendo getting rid of all 807 characters. Especially given we got 5 more introduced in USUM. And that SM aren’t that old to begin with. It’s only been 2 years. Another thing too is that they still haven’t gotten rid of Ash or Pikachu. They’re going to be in this movie. Again, I’m just overthinking things. Pay no heed to this worried man’s thoughts. Lol. I think I’ve been thinking too much about Lockstin’s theories. If anybody actually watches him (I don’t watch him but have totally heard of him).
They will never get rid of the Pokemon we have.. and therefore megas or Z moves.. but the rest is up for debate

I’d like betweeen 90 and 110 personally. Kalos was too small but then again, they had Mega Evolutions and I felt like almost every Pokemon in Kalos had a purpose. And Alola was decent with the amount they introduced, especially if you count the 5 new introduced ones in USUM.
Hmm I feel a lot had purpose, but some were hidden treasures like Pyroar was sorta off in the background
I actually used Pyroar on my X team. I found it very useful. I remember how long it took me to get a male one with Unnerve. Sadly, I didn’t get the right nature for it. I got one that lowered Special Attack. But I was still very happy with him. It’s actually one of my favorite Fire types.

Main game thoughts on USUM.
– Clearly very similiar to SM wished GF did add more changes like new island, more varied plot and URS develoment, alolan forms etc
– But eh who cares about SM, I played this game as a stand alone and thankfully only played SM once so this was still rather fresh exp for me.
– As a stand alone game easily best in series
What did I like?
Well everything. The region is well designed, the story is strong and kept me glued, the characters, wide available pokemon, the little side quests, Mantine surf and ultra ride are amazing, the Hawaiian feel and just everything about this game.
– Also its such a fricking long game by poke standards, loved the overworld and the fact it was challenging but in a good way. Like trainers with 2 3 mons were challenging, it didnt need to have a slow paced 6 Pokemon trainer battles!
No unnecessary gimmicks or puzzles, pacing of game was great.
10/10 so far. Flawless.

All my Pokémon work well with each other, work off each other’s strengths and grow better it also is the first time I planned my team and I have no regrets about it as I have the trifecta of elements
Fire, Water and Grass
I have the Dragon, Ice, Fairy trio
Rock and Dark are two of my favorite types
And Fighting balances out the gang
