RUMOR: More Alolan Forms from Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon

DISCLAIMER: Rumors are not confirmed information, should not be thought of to be confirmed information and should not be shared as confirmed information. These are for discussion purposes.

We shared a rumor with you that Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon may be getting additional Alolan Forms of older Pokémon in a previous post, but now we’re going to share a little bit more. Please be aware that some may find this a form of spoiler so you are advised not to read further, even though we are posting this as an unsubstantiated rumor totally outside the scope of official information.

The reason that we are posting this to append the previous rumor is because of the confirmation we got about Rainbow Rocket’s takeover of Aether Paradise (which could be seen on the Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon download card). A Chinese fan sent us some of this information which also seemed to line up with other things we had heard from separate sources.

  • Alolan Oddish, Alolan Gloom and Alolan Vileplume will all have Poison/Fairy-typing
  • Alolan Parasect will be Bug/Ghost (the rumor did not mention Paras so I will not infer anything there)

I am taking this with as much salt as you should, but I’m definitely hopeful because there seems to be a lot of potential for all the Pokémon named in the rumor and it would be great to see these unique typings as well (Shedinja aside)!

  1. What level should my Normal/Ground fakemon Hatchick evolve at? (It can evolve either into Fairy/Ground Chichen or Psychic/Ground Roosken) I’m thinking Maybe lv 20 or 22

      • Hatchick is found on Route 3 or 4, and the evos aren’t that strong maybe base stat 400 or something like that. Both evos are special attackers, Chichen has higher defence and Roosken higher Sp. Defence. Chichen can learn moves related to eggs, some Ground type moves, some fairy type moves and few Flying type moves. Roosken learnes moves realated to vision and waking up, morning etc, some Psychic and Ground type moves and few Flying type moves.

        • Psychic and fairy seems weird types for Pkms that seem to be solely based on Roosters and Chickens but anyways because it’s found at such early routes and have low base stats I find lvs 18-25 to fit better.

  2. Holy shet the coolest thing just happened when I was maining Zenyatta this morning.

So I’m on the Defend side and the payload just got to the 2nd door. I’m sneaking up on enemy players and taking them out with Orbs of Discord while also being sneaky with healing up my allies too. I then hear a Meteor Strike from an enemy Doomfist being launched, which now I’m trying to avoid getting killed. Then the Meteor Strike shows that it’s landing where I’m at, which I prepare for the worst when I’m suddenly seemingly levitating up. I thought (at first) it was a bug with Meteor Strike, but then I realized the 2nd door was shutting. And just before the Doomfist lands, the door pushes me outside and it closes, saving me from the ult.

Then I’m just sitting there dying. XD

  3. I hope this becomes reality because Parasect is one of my favorite Pokemon, and if it gets my favorite typing as well I’ll be completely sold on these games.

    • I’m just trying to rack my brain around it, it sounds good in theory but when I think of it Bug/Grass is from the bug body and the parasitic mushrooms on the back grass

But for the alleged zombie parasect thing where it’s officially dead and still being controlled is perplexing

Wouldn’t it being dead get rid of its bug typing since it died making it a Ghost/Grass type

Or did it just die and the mushrooms died as well because there are no more nutrients to suck up but somehow the body moves on its own

      • Maybe something causes the bug part to start rejecting the mushroom, killing it, but then the bug part remains mindless so a new soul takes over the body or something idk.

  4. And just like that, I’ve completed Super Mario Odyssey! Except for one little detail…there’s a CRAP TON OF STUFF still left to do! I think I’m going to write out my full thoughts later, but let me say that this game exceeds expectations more than I thought possible. And while I’m going to refrain from giving away any spoilers (especially because I haven’t even seen everything yet), there were lots of things that surprised me and made my spoiler-free tirade worth the trouble. PLEASE play this game.

    • Augh am I the only one actually not rushing, I just hit the luncheon kingdom with at least 187 moons and I keep hearing schmucks already beating it left and right
I keep telling myself to enjoy it and make it last but constantly hearing people already done with the main story just bugs me,

      • I didn’t rush at all, the game is just so addicting that I’ve been playing so much. I found as many secrets as I possibly could in each kingdom and soaked it all in. I’m at 292 moons as of my last save by the way, and I don’t feel like I’m anywhere near the end. I don’t plan on rushing that either.

        • =__= makes me feel so freaking behind….this is why i should avoid my family and constantly play until I have a decent amount…

          • I’d consider it rushing if somebody got every purple coin and Moon in Odyssey before 2018. There’s just that much content packed in. Definitely don’t let your competitive side get to you because it’s worth savoring the experience, I promise you.

          • Nrrrrrrgh you just don’t understand how potent that side of me is, it’s just eating away at my desires for savory gameplay and replacing it with gratifying completionist moxie

          • Seriously though, I can’t wait until a couple months from now when the game exits “spoiler territory”. There is so much I want to rave about, it’s almost hard to contain myself. This will likely be one of my last Odyssey related posts for a while so I can focus on keeping it to myself.

    • Can you spoiler how many kingdoms there are in the campaign? I’ve just been backtracking the first four kingdoms for all the moons and coins. One problem I have though that the ones left are really obscure it seems, but there’s still half left of them lol.

  5. So GameXplain just posted a video (which I won’t watch) with a title claiming that you can get 999 Moons in Super Mario Odyssey. That’s even higher than the number of Korok Seeds, which I still plan to do as well. Nintendo…this is not okay. My life is over, OVER I TELL YOU!

  6. Ok does anyone have a spare Hoenn cap Pika?
I guess I could trade a Sinnoh cap in return if really necessary?
I reallly really want one but made a mistake of not getting it whilst I had the chance :O

  7. Can I just say how much I love Charjabug!

I love it design, it’s shiny, it’s cry, the fact that it stands out in the secondary regional bug stages, the fact you keep one for so long during the Game, the fact that it has a 400 BST, it’s a battery and it has some good move at its disposal

Only one thing I don’t get, how does a block jump up a hit an opponent with Acrobatics? Either way I love it!

  8. The Rumor Come Out – Does Vileplume Is Alolan??

Kinda disappointed that Bellossom isn’t getting an Alolan form too, I’ve always liked it better than Vileplume. If only it were a Kanto Pokemon..

  9. Yo-kai watch is hard because you have yo-kai befriend you, mainly based on luck. I’m a pokemon trainer: I like to beat creatures up and forcibly remove them from their homes whereupon they develop Stockholm syndrome.

  10. I officially declare the month of October “Odyssey Addiction Awareness Month”. It’s a genuine and daunting threat to society. Progress so far: 420 Moons or so (laugh all you want). I now call this game “one more Moon Simulator 2017”.

  11. AGH I THINK SOMETHING IS WRONG
I’m trying to do post game Cascade Kingdom moons and #33 where you capture chomps and fling them to break the fossil is broken for the life of me they do not make contact with the rubble, just inches away, I’ve tried ricocheting the chomps I’ve looked up countless guides and videos and none of them have problems but for some odd reason mine won’t work

  12. Smh I’m so unoriginal ? I was gonna submit something for the Halloween art thing and I was like “omg Yas I’ll do a Pokémon haunted house” and literally the first result on google is what I had in mind…

What is a good place for Pokémon to haunt?

  13. Ngl Clangourous Soulblaze is my least favorite Z-Move because it’s pretty much as long as the legendary Z-Moves and not even half as impressive looking

  14. Ooo I have a good question for y’all

What is something that is unpopular (or rarely talked of) thing you want in USUM

Personally you know how in the Anime a Darknium Z was guarded by a Wild Totem Raticate. I think that Z-Crystals like Flynium Z, and Icenium Z are too easy to get and I think they should have Wild Totems protecting them (without a trial or captain)

And another note on another game I’d like to add. In GO I’d like particular Pokémon to have a third move that I’ll call (overworld moves) that help get certain Spiecies like Rain Dance to increase Water encounters, Flash to summon Bug types, Sunny Day to attract fire, ect. Then they could make an easier way to get Castform’s forms
