Gen III Coming to Pokémon GO This Halloween!

Generation III is just around the corner in Pokémon GO!

As per usual, our friends at Pokémon GO Hub have done their datamine of the latest APK and have found audio clips for all Generation III Pokémon, a new badge for catching Gen III ‘mon, and, most excitingly, a beautiful new loading screen wallpaper featuring some of the Gen III Ghost-types!

We’re not sure if the Ghost-type Pokémon native to Hoenn will be the only ones released during the Halloween event, or if the entire Generation will come at once, but one thing is for sure: Gen III is coming this Halloween!

Excited to get out this Hallows’ Eve and party like it’s 2003?! Remember to submit your spooky art as part of our Halloween ’17 Fan-Art Celebration if you haven’t already!

Is that a Mimikyu hat I see?!

  1. Hmmm interesting they’re doing it for a holiday. I guess this makes sense tho. They would need something for Halloween and doing another simple increase in ghosts would be kind of boring. Will be fun to get some new common Pokemon around soon. It gets stale once you’ve caught all the common ones that just show up in general lol

  2. Well today is the second half of my birthday activities
A trip into the city to Rockefeller center to the Nintendo superstore and the Lego store (I desperately need a good build to calm my nerves)
The the high walk to build our appetites as we go to a really good barbecue joint that has homemade home fried chicken that is sooooo effing good

  3. Depending on how you look at it, we only have 19.6% or 20.2% of the prerelease season for USUM. How is everyone feeling knowing that the time we have left is something we have already experienced 4 times over already sine the game has been announced? I think that it is going to blow past really fast since we will probably get 2-3 more info drops before release. Most importantly, how does everyone feel about these games?

      • That is if you count Friday as one of the days or not since some people might not be able to get the game until late Friday or on Saturday. The latter case is my situation.

    • It really feels like everything went by so fast for pre-release, and this month does seem to go by really quickly, so I’m a bit used to the remaining amount of time left before the release going by very quickly.

As for your second question, even though I wish we had sequels to further explore this region, I’m very interested in the differences this game has to offer compared to SM. For the most part, these games seem to be the most lore-driven games I’ve seen, so I can’t wait to see what Necrozma’s and the other two legendaries’ involvements are.

      • Yea, I hope that they don’t reveal too much in terms of lore for the upcoming info dumps. In fact I am hoping that they focus the trailers on other aspects of the game that have yet to be revealed. I mean there are two empty sections on their official website of their five sections. I am most fearful that they might divulge what the light form of Necrozma shown on the boxes really is on the November CoroCoro. I do agree in that these games will be very story-driven but I am also on the side that is hoping for a little bit more in terms of post-game content.

      • I’m a little bit more optimisitc than that. Especially considering how frequent the last few info drops have been. 3 weeks ago, 1 week ago, and this week. I am thinking 3 info drops-not including November’s CoroCoro issue.

  4. Aw yeah, I’m going to take a photo with James and Oliver Phelps (Weasley Twins) next weekend. Crazy expensive, but I want a nice pic!

  5. Just started Stardew Valley today. Seems pretty fun. Gonna have to get used to it tho. I’m currently used to games that just go go go so I’ll need to take my time and enjoy this. the only thing I’m having trouble with currently is fishing. Seems like an acquired talent to be able to do it so time to practice I guess XP

  7. Well I have worked more on Granite (my fan game) version

There are 25 routes during the Game
And by the Forest that resides on Route 2, you have access to at least 8 Spiecies so far including one Electric type and one Poison type (remember nothing is completely solid so more could be added)
