Event Reminders
- The Unova Cap Pikachu event will be ending this Monday, October 16th. Be sure to use the code PIKACHU20 in Mystery Gift to get this event ‘mon while you can, and remember: you can only get one of the Ash Hat Pikachu – use the code wisely! Unova Cap Pikachu comes with the moves Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail & Volt Tackle, as well as the Pikashunium Z Z-Crystal
Mimikyu To Get Z-Move in USUM
- From the initial Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon trailer to several merchandise announcements and leaks, a Mimikyu Z-Move has been heavily hinted at for months. Earlier this week a commercial aired showing off the Takara Tomy Z-Ring and it’s Z-Crystal accessories – specifically featuring a mysterious Z-Crystal whose insignia looks quite a bit like Mimikyu. Later in the week images of a Z-Ring box set featuring Mimikyu for the West were released online finally confirming our suspicions: Mimikyu will undoubtedly be getting a Z-Move in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon
Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon
- Pre-loading for the digital version of the games will begin on November 2nd, 2017
- The games will require 3.6GB of space each
Pokémon Global Link
- The Pokémon Global Link will be down for maintenance from November 10th, 2017 until November 17th, 2017 where it will reopen for Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon connectivity. During this time frame, all functions that require the Pokémon Global Link will not work in Pokémon Sun & Moon. All Global Link users who register Pokémon Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon to their account upon the Global Link’s reopening will receive a “special gift”
Pokken Tournament DX
- A new update has been announced for the Nintendo Switch exclusive! Although the patch isn’t currently live it will add several new features once available:
- The ability to play Team Battle matches online
- Access new rewards when you reach higher ranks in online Ranked Matchs including special titles in Official Groups
- Adding the Recording feature in Free Training which allows you to manipulate, record and playback your opponent’s moves
- Various bug fixes
Detective Pikachu Film
- Legendary Picture’s Detective Pikachu film is set to begin shooting January 2018 in London
Build-A-Bear
- You can now head down to your local Build-A-Bear to create your very own Vulpix plush! It comes with an exclusive TCG card and has several accessories made just for it that you can purchase additionally. Pictures of the plush are down below in the merchandise section
McDonald’s November Happy Meal
- For those in America, popular fast food chain and future ruler of the free world, McDonald’s, will be including a random Pokémon toy and special holofoil paper re-print TCG card (which have been exclusive to McDonald’s since 2011) throughout the month of November to coincide with the release of Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon! This Happy Meal campaign is a repeat of the ones that occurred in Australia and the UK over the past few months
Pokémon Video Game Championships – EU
- For our European readers, registration for the 2017 European International Championships is now available through the official site! It costs €30 to enter for Junior and Senior Players, €45 for Masters, and €10 for spectators. Taking place from November 17th to November 19th the event is set to be livestreamed with commentators
Pokémon Shuffle
- A new update is available for both the 3DS and mobile version of the game! This update adds several new main stages
- Special stages for Poliwrath and Camerupt have begun – they both run until October 17th
- The Mega Camerupt competitive stage will run until October 17th. Top players will receive prizes such as Cameruptite (or a Level Up if you already have the Mega Stone), Mega Speedups, Raise Max Levels, and more!
- The Politoed and Volcanion stages have begun repeat runs, ending October 17th and 24th respectively

Seeing as the preload is so soon, guess that’s a demo probably out of the way. What’s honestly really surprised me is how little we’ve seen of the story of the game through released demos or gameplay through demos given to Nintendo employees. Tbh besides completely spoiling that Nebby’s plot is happening again (obvious), that Necrozma shows up (which needs to be done to promote it) and the fact that the URS are showing up really early, they’ve done a decent job of hiding certain plot points, such as Necrozma and the URS’ true motivations, the changes to plot structure, and small details such as type or trial changes

I don’t think we’ll get a demo for USUM. It makes sense to do it for the first set of games of each gen and for them to do it for remakes, but a 3rd version won’t be any different game play wise compared to SM. The demo for USUM is SM honestly. They have almost 0 reasons to release a demo. Especially given how the demos are easily hacked and info is leaked from them.

I just remembered that we’re getting a Detective Pikachu movie and I’m kinda worried if it will do well enough, or if the movie will even be good; it’s a pretty weird concept.
And I’m liking the Vulpix merchandise, they really took advantage of their autumn/winter motif. And lastly, I’m still curious about the image of Necrozma holding Cosmog, so much to speculate about 😮
As long as Danny Devito voices Pikachu the movie will be a success.

At this point I think a lot of the scenes won’t happen exactly how we saw them happen in SM. I think some events will happen earlier or later in USUM too. Should make for an interesting playthrough

Really want the Vulpix Build a Bear……..Well in general I actually just want a Vulpix stuffed animal. Lol I’m just not sure which form I like the most. I like Alolan Ninetales more than it’s regular form, but both Vulpix forms are totes adorbs. I just can’t choose!!!
Theory: Lusamine doesn’t manage to open wormholes around Alola, or at least not to the same magnitude. Necrozma instead takes over this role, as both it and Nebby can open Ultra Wormholes on their own without assistance and this might translate to their fusion being able to open multiple holes at once
Yeah I can see that. I honestly think the invasion this time is all Necrozma’s doing. Like once it absorbs Nebby it opens the portals basically to have the UBs wreck havoc on the world.

I have yet to see any UB merchandise. I’ve barely seen any gen 7 stuff outside the main favourites tbh.
There’s a Nihilego figure coming out later this year I think. Not the biggest thing in the world, but it’s technically merch for the UBs haha

No. It is a remake just with a decent chunk of changes.
And I’m replaying Sun and just got to where Lusamine goes into the wormhole, and that woman is messed up. For years she spent all this time ignoring and / or abusing her kids to go live with some space jellyfish? What even? AND MOHN’S BEEN AT POKÉ PELAGO THE WHOLE TIME. Anyone can fly there. On a Charizard. Or by putting your pokemon in a PC box. But noooo… I have the Aether Foundation so I’m going to freeze my pokemon in blocks of ice and spend millions of dollars to release abominations from another dimension to wreak havoc, and genetically engineer monsters to kill them (maybe that was Faba).
The more I think about it the madder it makes me.
And what happened to the other Type:Null? The game mentions three, but we only see 2.
Probably just somewhere in Aether I would assume.

I believe it says in one of the in-game book shelves that the third Null is in Sinnoh, which couldn’t make me happier.

Idk, but I am creating (or was, but me want to revive the project) my own version of SuMo story (changing it to be more like the Manga, but seperate from adventures and such) and the third Type: Null appears in USUM in it

There is no way of knowing, but their transformation powers likely come from a place of great evil.
It’s fine later on in the game…but seriously the beginning should not be so dialogue heavy. You should not restrain the player so much that early on. Let them go for a little..and then reel them back in
Yeah, gimme that Pokemon and let me go for a while. Mandatory trainer’s school got a thumbs-down from me. I can learn from experience, especially with the new “effectiveness of moves” interface.
It’s just annoying for anyone who has already played a Pokémon game.
Yeah, and when first-time players played the previous pokemon games, they made it through without being forced to attend the school.
There was usually one you could go in and read stuff written on the chalkboard. I think the new interface does fine, and getting stomped by a few NPCs with Caterpies and Rattatas teaches you about as well as the school does.
I didn’t mind the cutscenes at all, though I agree with Ultron in that the beginning of the game was heavy on dialouge needlessly. But that’s just with all pokemon games, I suppose.

I’m sorry but I could care less about z-moves or anything z-move related. I honestly would be more excited for new fxcking Megas at this point and I always hated those things. I just can’t believe how lame the roll out to ultra SM is compared to this time last year when SM was about to come out. I’m super happy about the changes in story and gameplay and can’t wait to see the new updates but some of the gimmicks they’re throwing out way to get us hype for the new games release is just trash. They even go as far as to give us new Ultrabeast but NO NEW ALOLAN FORMS! Easily the biggest no-brainer. Fans always want more Pokémon and if they just added a few new alolan forms, it wouldn’t have even inflated the pokedex number. But ugh. It is what it is.
Also the detective pikachu movie is a HORRIBLE idea. Please somebody pull the plug asap. Is there a single person on earth who believes this movie could ever be successful based on premise alone?? I’m just so upset lol

The only issue I really have is that it’s on squared paper (negatively effects the piece as a whole) and your circles need better consistency, but overall it’s a good piece and you’ve coloured decently well.
I’d say better background and shading as well but that shits hard man so I can’t blame
