The information from CoroCoro about new features in Pokémon Sun& Moon has been released in a new trailer!
Here are the main takeaways from the new information:
- Necrozma, and its Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings Formes, can learn a new Psychic-type attack: Photon Geyser! It will use either Attack or Special Attack… whichever of Necrozma’s stats is higher!
- Dusk Mane Necrozma and Solgaleo can use the new Z-Move Searing Sunraze Smash by powering up Sunsteel Strike and holding Solganium Z
- Dawn Wings Necrozma and Lunala can use the new Z-Move Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom by powering up Moongeist Beam and holding Lunalium Z
- Both new Z-Moves ignore the target’s ability when attacking
- Rotom Dex can be communicated in more ways and the way you do so can change its personality
- A new feature, the Roto Loto, grants new items which can increase EXP, prize money or other factors for set amounts of time
- Befriending the Rotom Dex will eventually allow you to use multiple Z-Moves during battle, but probably not in competitive matches

Introducing the Roto Loto
Roto Loto is a feature that lets you get items from your Rotom Dex as you get closer to Rotom. These special items that you get from your Rotom Dex’s Roto Loto come in different varieties, with some increasing the Exp. Points or prize money that you receive for a set period of time, while others might make it easier to catch Pokémon or have other effects. You may choose to use these Rotom Powers from your Bag whenever you’d like!
Use Z-Moves again with Rotom’s Z power
If you become close enough with Rotom, it’ll use a special power for you called Rotom’s Z-Power! This lets you use a second Z-Move in battle, even though you’re normally limited to using only one Z-Move per battle!!
Searing Sunraze Smash Z-Move
Searing Sunraze Smash is a new Steel-type Z-Move that can be used if you have a Solgaleo that knows Sunsteel Strike hold the exclusive Z-Crystal Solganium Z. This attack damages a target while ignoring any effects of the target’s Ability. A Searing Sunraze Smash from Solgaleo will be extremely powerful!
Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom Z-Move
Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom is a new Ghost-type Z-Move that can be used if you have a Lunala that knows Moongeist Beam hold the exclusive Z-Crystal Lunalium Z. This attack also damages a target while ignoring any effects of the target’s Ability. The Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom that Lunala unleashes boasts tremendous power!!
New Z-Moves for Solgaleo and Lunala
In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, new exclusive Z-Moves make their debut for Solgaleo and Lunala—Searing Sunraze Smash and Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom.
There is one other Pokémon that can learn Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam, the moves needed to unleash these extremely powerful Z-Moves—Necrozma.
That’s right—a Necrozma that knows Sunsteel Strike or Moongeist Beam will be able to unleash Searing Sunraze Smash or Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom.

Well the covers show the light form but I kinda doubt that’ll be what it actually looks like.
I think that’s why Gigalith and Mimikyu were shown in battle versus Necrozma, to highlight that the new Z-Moves completely ignore abilities like Sturdy and Disguise.

Hmmm so they’re basically bringing back O Powers eh? Yeah that’s actually a good thing. the PSS was such a gem of a feature. I really hope they bring it back in some form next gen. The new Z moves are cool too. Z moves are weird to me. They’re pretty cool, but I use them so little in favor of other hold items that have more needed effects.
Didn’t the base moves for these Z-moves already bypass abilities? Anyway I like them, it makes me wonder how movesets will work when combining and separating. The fonts used look really nice, I’m not so sure on the names but I suppose I’ll get used to them. Photon Geyser looks cool and I’m glad it’s damage is calculated that way, though I’m not sure how it actually works with the Physical side. Also Rotom Hatch and Experience Powers! I’m pleased to have them back. I hope the effect is worthwhile and recharge time (which I assume there will be) isn’t too bad, unless it is exactly like a regular one use item which would be pointless. Oh one last thing, I assume the Nature and IVs will be Necrozmas’?

An idea. For example:
Normal Tauros can be found on the Paniola Ranch, but when you go to Ruins of Abundance, you can catch Sacred Tauros, affected by Tapu Bulu’s aura, with a typing and design resembling Tapu Bulu.
I’ve been saying for a while that if Tapus receive a animal form they should be their Avatar forms or Incarnate (not therian)
They all drop fairy (which represents their land spirit-ness) and gain physical mortal forms

That’s a false equivalence in terms of my argument. Megas have returned past gen 6. Sure, we didn’t get new ones, but they are still available to use. I bet anything Z-moves will be exclusive to gen 7 only. I really think they pushed z-moves over megas so that moving forward they wouldn’t feel obligated to carry them over and they can move onto the next gimmick.

Yeah I doubt it. They constructed megas so that they’re tied to the lore of the pokemon now. It’s an alternate form in a sense. You really can’t leave out forms. Z-moves, while some are exclusive to certain mons, are just moves. It won’t affect lore to leave them out or say you can only use them in Alola, where the z bracelets are not easy to make or come by. How would we even get them in another region?
Simple:
Some important gen 8 character is from Alola. They give you a Z-ring and in post game you can collect Z-stones from a battle facility, like mega stones in Sun/Moon
But how did they get an extra..? You have to be recognized as worthy to even get one. That’s why a select few in Alola have them. I don’t think a guardian deity would give someone an extra. All you need for a mega band is a key stone, which, while rare, seem to be available all over.
What if Hapu traveled to another region? She could give you a Z-Ring after you become champion
Can she even do that? What I think is more likely is a new mechanic that’s similar to z-moves, but tweaked. So no dancing and shorter animations.
Probably just with a new item that does Z-moves and Mega Evolution, like they do different Mega bracelets etc each time.

So I have been quite busy for the past two days-to the point where I had missed some articles. However, don’t be alarmed, for I am still hyped as ever despite my lack of comments. We still have over a month left and two sections of the five sections are still empty on the USUM official website, so I am confident that there are still something sizable that they have yet to reveal for these games. One of the things that I am hoping for are new Alola forms. Right now I think I am either in a state of denial or the small hints and the USUM wishlist rumor are true-bearing and we are all going to be wonderfully surprised. Rotomdex’s new features are pretty cool. I am absolutely expecting a drastic increase in Trainer x Rotomdex fanfics when the game drops-am I being serious about this, you will never know-and I am content with the revealed info on Necrozma. A little bit suprised that the leak Z-crystals were actually for Necrozma and not Mimikyu and another Pokémon like many other people suspected.

Assuming the animation we saw in the early trailers is for the Z-move-I believe we saw its eyes-then I am guessing that the Z-move will have a secondary effect of paralyzingly the opponent or leaving them with a damaging condition (burn, poison, cursed).

I think alot of that comes from being on the receiving end of bad stuff, there comes a point where you just don’t want others to experience that because you know the pain. Yeah Slam was never really worth it unless you couldn’t teach Strength. Fury Swipes is probably not great either with the lack of the Metronome. Headbutt has 10 less BP but can cause flinching. Iron Tail, Dig, maybe one of the Elemental Punches could be good. Also Quick Attack and Swift since that’s physical until gen 4.

Lack of opportunity to level up sufficiently. You end up spending ages grinding up levels or risk severe under-levelling. I actually don’t have much problem with it but can see why others do.

For me it lets me spend more time with my pokemon, feeling like I’m working hard to make them strong. I also don’t like being too high a level else it becomes too easy.

I only use exp.share for ‘dex completion and other post-game stuff, same with Lucky Eggs and in ORAS Blissey Bases.
Tbh, going through Gold and Silver again, I didn’t find it too hard to level, and I didn’t even use the exp share. Sure there’s a lil grinding involved but personally thats cause I wanted my Pokemon all the same level (with my starter + 2 higher) and when I watched somethin on my laptop, it made it far less tedious

I mean I haven’t gone over every combination but anything that can use a z-setup move then pass it or utilise the boosts for another z attack or set-up is gonna be annoying to fight. Porygon-Z being able to boost twice limits phasing for example, since you’d know after one thing phases you to then take it down with something else then come back and set-up again.

It’s still bad, there are good moments, the Pokemon are good (even though I’d prefer they were given a better series to shine in), Cilan is horribly annoying, possibly less annoying than Sophocles is now. Idk maybe it’s better in Japanese.

I feel another missed opportunity was not giving Ash a Lucario, or at least a Riolu. It’s been stated that Ash can harness and manifest aura, so I feel it’d be right to give him one. It’s still entirely possible, but due to the more comedic approach Sun and Moon is taking, I doubt they’ll bring up aura this anime

I before I understood it had made an XY fanfic and I had a Bond phenomenon with my Chespin to stop Team flare
My team during it was: Chespin, Snorelax (rare encounter in the Forest), Dedenne (caught it while it was stealing my food), Noivern (caught it after nurturing it back to health), Avalugg (given by a breeder after helping him save his eggs) and a Zygarde Core which did leave me after beating Team flare
Funny thing is: I might so the same thing with the character I made and his Lucario. It basically involves them being pushed to their limit after being beaten down by a powerful foe. With the others (There are 4 other people travelling with him) cheering him on, and his boundless determination to win, he unlocks something inside of him and Lucario, and unleashes that with a transformation:Showing their bond is higher than ever. With the bind phenomenon, it also puts my character in his aura form (Idk what else to call it, it basically allows him to weaponize his aura, as well as turning his hair blue and eyes red) when the bond form is activated, so yeah. That’s about it, and yeah, it’s a mouthful.

1% encounter was my first encounter. Even caught it in a Pokeball which is what I want to do for all the Pokemon in Silver

Ok panic panicking panicking my IPad mini which is my single most important thing in my life is having weird battery spikes, it randomly drops like 15% or more even at full charge and hav brightness, I’m freaking out, I use this thing literally all the time and I cannot bear the thought of it dying on me, I already hard reset it to stop the problem but it still randomly happens

I want them to make another pokemon region where we can only use new pokemon. That’s part of what made black and white unique. You’re dropped into this new region that you know nothing about surrounded by pokemon you know nothing about. It makes Unova really stand out amongst all the others. Take Johto for example: you’re surrounded by so many Kanto pokemon that it’s frustrating at times because you want to use the new pokemon but can’t because some are locked until post game or have really low spawn rates (a problem we also see in Alola). That or you’re fighting another million ratatas and zubats. In my opinion, that diminishes Johto from standing out as a truly great region. Luckily Gen 4 gave it a bit more personality, but it’s still just kind of Kanto’s brother region, failing to carve a name for itself like Hoenn, which was much different than anything we’d seen, or Unova, which feels isolated, but still pokemon.

Star shaped Pokémon is strongly alluded to being-by a phrase on the Pokémon USUM official site describing that there is still some more power of Necrozma not revealed yet-to be a form of Necrozma. It might as well be Mega Necrozma for all we know. In my opinion, the two hidden sections could be anyone of three things: festival plaza, battle facility, and new Alola forms that they have kept under wraps. I am not sure if the question marks have been revealed yet, you might want to check Paul Ryan’s twitter feed. The new poster is obviously going to be an 18+ picture of Professor Kukui for the adult customers of Pokémon.
Also for what is missing. I would say that we are missing a good amount of Kukui promotion for this game’s preseason information cycle.

– 15 minutes to find a clefeary…and THEN:
– Discover that Clefeary has follow me so you can hit it when targetting cleffa.
– Try to put Clefeary asleep but hey, it has minimize x3.
– Put the monster asleep after 20 minutes, it wakes up, uses follow me and dies despite minimize.

There are character set-ups for Lillie etc that are necessary for the story but they should be skip-able for replayability. There may have been a way to shift things around so it comes after you pick your starter. The first Pokemon Center is right next to your house yet it takes ages to get into the damn thing.

Regional Bird: Chactac, Normal/Flying magpie thief which becomes Dark/Flying after evolving. Its evos are Mugpie and Swingler.
Other early catches are an oily terrier, a pussy willow cat, and a snow vole.

The oily Scottish terrier is called Puptrid, Poison/Normal. It’s the Oil Spill Pokémon. Evolves into Hirsutox.
The literal pussy willow/catkin is called Kittykin, pure Grass. It’s the Mew Leaf Pokémon. Evolves into Ragaroot.
The snow vole Pokémon is called Screedy, and it evolves from pure Normal to the Normal/Ice Volar. So greedy, it isolated itself in a cold area. They only come out of isolation for food and mating.
No Fakemon. Takes too long to sprite for one person and I generally don’t like the concept.

Instead of starting Yo-Kai Watch, I’m trying to finish Sun this weekend. Here is my current team, and it’s as much of a train wreck as it looks. No water moves, no grass moves, no flying or bug moves (can be fixed with TMs), one fire move (Lycanroc), no steel moves, only poison move is Toxic, no fairy moves yet… Why can’t Vulpix learn ANYTHING? I’ll have to evolve her.
The Lycanroc is shiny, and the only male on the team is the Persian. My Hakamo-o is from the GTS or somewhere.
This team is like, hilariously weak. I was running around without my Lycanroc and a Ribombee ’bout took us out.
I’ve got to check their Hidden Powers or something cuz it’s getting ridiculous.

So I’ve watched part of this montage Cartoon Network apparently made for their 25th anniversary. I think I know part of what’s wrong. There’s many thing they could do better now a days, but I’m only gonna point out one part so don’t come at me with a million different things haha Anyway I think one thing they’re doing wrong now is that there’s no atmosphere for the channel anymore. It used to feel like the channel itself was alive.They would always do behind the scenes features (some real and some funny what if the cartoons were actually just actors) and even had special events they made sure people knew were important. Back in my day(says the old man) they used to do special blocks of new shows every Friday (Cartoon Cartoon Fridays for ya’ll youngins) and they’d have other cartoons host it like it was a big event. Now they basically just poop out stuff and barely advertise when new stuff is gonna hit. On top of that when stuff IS new it’s spread out in the craziest of ways. I get making a week long event of new episodes, but don’t do that and then go weeks without new content……On top of that it feels random. There doesn’t feel like there’s any rhyme or reason to how they organize blocks of shows and their episodes, let alone when the episodes are new. They need to make the channel itself feel like a community and not just some stream of information that someone left running………Well that’s my take on things anyway. I know there’s plenty of other things they need to do better, but this is just one thing in particular I’ve been thinking about.

Same but then you are already a high enough level to face him. Whilst possible to be high enough a level to face him in RBY, many children won’t have done any grinding, SS.Anne provides the experience many would find necessary. They could’ve removed the sapling in gen 2 but I guess it’s there for any Kanto originating trainers.

I personally prefer 0 on the attack IV to minimise confusion and foul play damage. My shiny has that and HP Ground. If you have the one I traded you can still use that. I can probably breed you a 0 attack one if you want,

It is weird and wonderful, truly fits the monster part of Pokemon. Also its’ head looks a bit like a Ferengi (from Star Trek) and humorously kind of like a bum.
Yep and I feel that Magmotar losses that what makes Magmar and its prevo so unique . Also your right it does look like a Ferengi lol.

Yep, also the lips it has now along with the pink bits on the legs make it look like a burn victim to me. I actually don’t mind the back spikes but they should be red or yellow. The tail is OK. I also have issues with its’ counterpart Electivire but they are fewer (I still much prefer Electabuzz).
I really don’t like anything about it. Just a tad too Goofy looking imo. As for vire and buzz I really like the formers design more than the latter.
I prefer Electabuzz’s proportions, its’ tail, feet and head (especially the mouth).
It’s evo is just as beautifully weird! They’re both just as good in my opinion.
I dislike the pink bits and the face.

Just saw the OK K.O. episode “K.O.’s Video Channel”. I bring this up because the videos K.O. uploaded have some nods to previous episodes, like a video of K.O. when he got turned into a dog putting on his human costume, or TKO being an edgelord (The title was literally called “Deprest…”, it was beautiful). It’s probably not something to looks too deep into, but I guess this show isn’t entirely episodic, so that’s cool. Also, I watched the Captain Planet crossover, and the ending killed me (there was a truck called The Succ, I’m not kidding.)
