Event Reminders

  • The Hoenn Cap Pikachu event will be ending this Monday, October 2nd. Be sure to use the code PIKACHU20 in Mystery Gift to get this event ‘mon while you can, and remember: you can only get one of the Ash Hat Pikachu – use the code wisely! Hoenn Cap Pikachu comes with the moves Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Thunder & Iron Tail, and the Pikashunium Z Z-Crystal
  • The global distribution of Mewnium Z will also end this Monday! To obtain the Z Crystal you must have a paid subscription to Pokémon Bank and connect to Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon. As of now this is the only way to get Mew’s exclusive Psychic-type Z-Move, Genesis Supernova – so get it while you can!

Nintendo Wii Shop Channel To Cease Service

  • Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Wii Shop Channel will cease operations on January 31st, 2019 (however. purchasing Wii Points for games games on the Channel will cease on March 27th, 2018). From that point on, several Pokémon games will no longer be available for download on the Nintendo Wii or for the backwards compatibility on Wii U:
    • Pokémon Puzzle League (Virtual Console)
    • Pokémon Rumble
    • My Pokémon Ranch
    • Pokémon Snap (Virtual Console)
    • And the Japan exclusives, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Keep Going! Blazing Adventure Squad, Let’s Go! Storm Adventure Squad, & Go for it! Light Adventure Squad

Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Starter’s Pack

  • Those in North America will be able to purchase the Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Starter’s Pack bundle at select retailers! This bundle comes with the game of your choice, a Dusk Mane Necrozma (Ultra Sun) or Dawn Wings Necrozma (Ultra Moon) keychain, and a serial code for 12 Revives to be redeemed in game

Marshadow Distribution

  • Due to Pokémon Trainer Club login issues earlier this week, the Equinox Event has been extended an extra day to October 3rd. For details of the event head to its dedicated post
  • A massive amount of EX Raid Passes for Mewtwo Legendary Raid Battles have begun to roll out across the world at various Gym locations across the globe
  • A Pokémon GO in-real-life event will be taking place at the Tottori Sand Dunes from November 24th through November 26th! Full details aren’t known as of now, however it has been confirmed that rare Pokémon Mr. Mime and Unown will have increased spawn rates in game

Pokémon Shuffle

  • Costing 20,000 coins to access, the new Buzzwole Ultra Beast stage is now available and runs  until October 3rd – it can only be played a mere 10 times
  • The Mega Steelix competitive stage will be running until This is a competitive stage that runs until October 3rd, 2017. Top players will enjoy rewards including Steelixite (or a Level Up if you already have the Mega Stone), Mega Speedups, Raise Max Levels, and more!
  • The following stages have begun repeat runs until October 10th, 2017: Cyndaquil (Winking), Hitmontop & Zygarde

  7. Blarhh so ends the slowness of September
    Now we enter October, a shift from summer to fall
    And the start of decent games to release, Mario and Luigi, South Park The Fractured But Whole and the most important Mario Odyssey
    And the most important thing is my Birthday is in 2 weeks (which I’ll go to the city for barbecue and a trip to the Superstore)
    And Corocoro is coming within two weeks so that’s something to look forward to

      • I just love it and need it. I wonder if the codes will also work for USUM if they are indeed codes. I would like if it appeared in the Battle Royale Dome in a back room or something, but then that’s attributing a mini story to it which doesn’t happen anymore.

    Do you think that since the QR code won’t expire, Magearna will be obtainable with the same code? Maybe even in its original colour form? I know most of you won’t care about the non shiny recolour but like. I’m a collector. Gimme.

  14. So tomorrow is the start of the Sinnoh Hat Pikachu right? I’m kinda excited to pick one up in Sun. Then next week I have to head out to GameStop for Marshadow (and maybe Target for Charizard too). Everything is happening in October!

    • What I played of the Desert level was fun and looked great. There is a wall mechanic that’s pretty cool, I think a Zelda game had something similar. It was my first time using Joycons so I didn’t end up getting much done.

        • I kind of want them to change up the part Rock Typing, but then I guess that’s their major constant as a part of the de-fossilisation.

          • there are many theories behind this
            that the rock typing is a result of fossilization process but two pokemon throw a kink into the theory

            mainly Cranidos and Tirtouga
            Cranidos being a pure rock type
            and Tirtouga being primarily Water/Rock which is odd because all fossils are primarily rock

            this raises the idea that these pokemon were naturally Rock types in their era

          • Yeah I mean some probably would be, but I doubt all would’ve been. Archeops for example I feel wouldn’t had the typing and perhaps instead been part Dragon (going by some of its’ moves). The more obvious one would perhaps be Armaldo which likely could’ve been Water/Bug. Though it’s interesting that if this were the case, it is their Primary typing being replaced. Perhaps a new breakthrough could restore some fossils to their true original state of living.

          • No, it is literally an evolution that brings forth its ancestral DNA, caused by it learning Ancient Power.

            Only cause even though Mammoths have gone extinct in this world over in the Pokemon World the ancestors lived on

            I believe the Mamoswine we have is a evolved version of the original Mamoswine as the original went extinct while they adapted and changed a bit to survive in the new World, the same can be argued for Relicanth

          • Probably it never needed to, if the conditions in which it lived didn’t change or it was able to cope as it was without needing to adapt then I guess it just didn’t. Evolution is largely driven by survival, I guess it was doing just fine as it was.

          • Well obviously that is because there was no Infernapes swimming in the sea to prey upon the Relicanths and drive its evolutionary path.

        • I have thought of so many I’d like. There are so many extinct creatures that they could use. Actually they could use them in non-fossils too as long as the concept matches up.

    • I’d say rare, depends how many legends you have, what its’ lore would be as a legendary, whether you have anything else you’d like to make a legendary more.

      • I planned 4 Legendaries (not including the trio like the dogs)

        And it’s lore would be more a rare Entity that had become a Legend for saving a particular area from destruction in the past, but the 4th Legendary can be anything really as my others are A Pokémon based on Gaia that is the Main Legend- Ground type, but has two forms which make it Ground/Fire or Ground/Ice, An evil Demon which plays as the main villainous Pokemon- Dark/Poison, and a Leviathan that resides deep in an ocean cave, but has no role till post game- So far its just a Water type

          • Maybe that actually sounds better for something like it (if I make the game though it will exist, but only cause making a mystery gift thing would be a lot of effort that wouldn’t help anything)

            And one quick thing should for anything I think should be trade evolution, should I make a special item that will simulate Trade evolution (like a link cable)

          • Mythical in every sense except being event only yeah. You could make an item, but that’d pretty much be like a stone. Unless you are bringing back older Pokemon you could leave trade evolution out which would likely be easier.

  33. As impressed I am with Kalos in emulating Paris I’m also kind of sad they didn’t incorporate some more religious elements of the city like Notre Dame because that could be such a beautiful location. Just change it from Christianity to some kind of Xerneas/Yveltal thing

          • I personally want to go for inspiration as being an artist myself, to study the advanced artwork and architecture techniques they must’ve used to make everything so fantastic and pretty there~

        • And in black and white/2, don’t forget that… The problem with notre dame is it’s specific, and if anyone picks it up as the focus of a church at any point, religious people will cry foul… There’s a reason it’s not featured, they could wind up in big trouble, kinda a big risk when you get specific, in some places pokemon is already considered “demonic” as is…

          • Ehhhh I don’t think they would care all that much. If Disney can do it then Pokémon can do it with a way looser connection. I don’t think those evangelicals calling Pokémon demonic have really done much to harm the series

          • Normally i’d agree, but in certain places, the churches have a lot of power and if you make yourself a target, and they don’t like it, they will hunt you down like you were the devil, i’ve seen it happen a lot, and it’s quite sad. I saw lots of stuff even in the US where the churches act like the mafia, or some weird equivalent of it, it’s not pretty…

  35. I’m in first period (math class) and I have a giant headache. Still, here I am! (Ta-da!)

    So, lately I’ve been working on a story. A Pokemon one, specifically, and have just finished the second Ark (Heart Gold, Soul Silver, & Shattered Crystal Ark). The two current arks (Fire Red, Leaf Green, Aqua Blue, & Thundering Yellow Ark is the other one) are basically the rise and fall story of a trainer from the Sevi Islands who travels through Kanto ( with the story of yellow, along with a couple things from the anime), conquers the Indigo league, but goes to Johto in the second ark to stop Team Rocket, who is under new management after he stops Giovanni in the first ark. He leaves behind all of his Pokemon and starts new, saying that he’s going to battle the gyms when he’s actually going to stop Team Rocket, who is officially a terrorist group (they blow up Silph Co. during this Ark). They’re specifically targeting him, so his family can’t know that he’s going. To accompany him in Johto is Crystal (shes goes by the name Kris), who ends up leaving for Kalos at the end of the Ark to pursue a modelling deal. Basically, the trainer (named Gideon) becomes so obsessed with stopping Team Rocket that he looses the value of why he became a trainer, and only realizes it in the climax, when he battles Ho-Oh and fails to capture it, essentially having a breakdown and Ho-Oh flying away. His journey through Johto by that point is done now, and he ends up going up Mt. Silver at the end, only to see Mew, along with a Spirit of himself from the first Ark. He explains that Mew took him out when he crossed the border into Johto, and how Gideon needs to get back to the roots of why he became a trainer in the first place. He tells him to leave the land of the Indigo League, leave the land that is plagued by Team Rocket (now just rogue members). They have a battle (it’s the Red battle from the end of the Johto games), and Gideon realizes what he meant by getting back to his roots as a trainer. He wins with his Johto Pokemon, and decides that he should go to Hoenn after seeing an ad (his dad, a gym leader, lives there). on TV.

    So, I’m at the end of the second ark, now I need some help for the third Ark (Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, & Delta Emerald Ark). The biggest Question is “what should I do about Mega Evolution?” since I’m going in chronological order (Black and White is also gonna run together with a new main character named Hilbert with the Third Ark to set up Black 2 and White 2 for Gideon later). I’m thinking that at the end of the Delta episode, his Key Stone should shatter from an overload with Raquazza. I’m not sure though, I’m definitely trying to keep up continuity. Gideon won’t bring a Key Stone into Sinnoh if they aren’t given one in the main story. If nothing new with Megas happens, and it’s like in Sun/Moon, then I’ll probably just skip it. Also, he’s always ended up having all of the starters. Should I do that this time? Or should it definitely just be one?

    I’m not sure when I’ll release the first Ark, but it’ll be on my Fanfiction.net page. So, I’ll probably just make an announcement on here when I decide to release it.

    Also, suggestions story-wise are always helpful. Thanks in advance!

    • Shattering the Keystone makes sense, he can always get a new one if he travels to Kalos, perhaps having to retrain at the Tower of Mastery. Much as I like all of the starters in Hoenn, it may be good to let other Pokemon from the region shine. Pick one that best suits the character.

    • Well I think that Rick and Morty are guaranteed future seasons so they don’t really need to be concerned with going out with a bang each season and are satisfied with continuing the narrative how they like. I liked it for the change in dynamics that was implemented. Not going to say anything further.

  38. So watched Azkaban yesterday and I can see why it’s so well critically acclaimed! ✔

    – I do love the more mature and darker theme
    – The plot was very good and pacing was great
    – Honestly you connect with harry and his past in these films especially his parents thanks to the marauder group Lupin and Sirius in particular!
    – The dementors scared the s h i t out of me and added to the darker theme
    – Also Patronuses was really cool
    – Plot was very interesting with plenty of references to the past, loved the Snape scene when he catches Sirius and co.
    – Overall? Uh honestly imo from the first 3 films, it maybe the best but chambers is very close.

    Next up is Goblet of Fire where s h i t gets real.

      • Personally I think Normal people shouldn’t have guns. If you want a weapon you can but a Steak Knife or an Axe, not mentioning Pepper Gas or Tazers.

        • People don’t need anything more than a pistol or like.. a shotgun. That’s all you need to defend yourself. Automatic weapons are just asking to be used for horrible things

    • I’m still waiting to see if all those guns he had were legal (there’s no way those rounds were for commercial use), in which case makes it all the worst. Like to be perfectly honest what does a civilian need with automatic rifles and the like? They answer is the don’t. The only weapons the layman needs are pistols and shotguns maybe a rifle if you hunt. Truly a sad day to be an American.

    • Am I the only one that finds that this sort of politics doesn’t really belong on here?

      Like, this isn’t who’s in power or identity politics, where it’s not really life threatening unless it’s an extreme case. This is a complex life and death situation that’s just going to lead to controversy and cultural clash: especially when a lot of us here aren’t a part of the relevant culture in this debacle.

      Like personally, I think the US should have stronger gun regulations. But like I appreciate that I don’t have the same insight as American citizens. Also, ‘anybody can buy a gun’ is senseless exaggeration. Yes, it’s shockingly easy compared to other countries to get a gun, but pretending there’s no regulations in place at all isn’t helpful in the slightest

        • The difference is we usually sh!t post and actually speak about Pokémon, never getting into a super heavy debate like this is. Like even the Trump stuff is a million times lighter because Trump’s memeable whether you support him or are against him

          Whilst a lot of members here are American, we also have a sizable number of European members, a few more international memberss, and American members who come here to have a good time, not start a controversial debate. And to be honest, PJN is a terrible place to debate because most of us here are varying shades of liberal so it usually just comes down to pedantic.

  59. Does anyone else find Pokemon games really easily repayable? It’s probably because I usually go into rerurns with a plan and don’t even touch TMs and stuff I don’t need, and I’m also not too bothered about levels

    • Well they’re the most replayable games I’ve played, you can do a lot of things like nuzlockes, mono types, playing with Pokemons you haven’t played before etc..

    • I don’t touch TM’s either, but I really just have to get past the beginning (its super boring at the beginning till at least the first gym in replays) but the middle is my favorite part cause you have most of what you want and have lots of stuff to still do

      The end unless I really like my team gets very repetitive sadly and makes me lose interest or if I leave for a long while before getting into the end

  62. Because of the amazingly looking Hoenn gym badge collection, I decided to do a rerun of AS. I’m planning on using Pokémon I’ve never used before, like Donphan. But you can only get it in game at the Safari Zone.. So I was wondering if anyone would want to help me get a lowleveled Phanpy? I’m also planning on using Ludicolo, Houndoom and Grumpig. I don’t know if they’re good or not but honestly, I don’t care. I just want to enjoy my favorite region again 😀

  67. sudowoodo is a pretty good pokemon. also i cloned rollout and taught it to furret, i figured the ghost gym would only use ghost attacks so i thought why not and gave it to togepi too to catch it up with my other pokemon. it worked very nicely. and Morty was horrible! who says whitney was hard because she was simple. that dream eating gengar is what is hard

  68. Well I’m going to start my Anime team (like as if I was in the Pokémon World)

    Now what to do for a starter? I have problems with them all rn cause

    -Treeko is waaaaay too weak at the start cause it takes me like 10 hits to finish off a little Wurmple
    – Not very fond of Torchic in the game (its cry is worse than its original too)
    -And I’ve used Mudkip so much in the past

  75. Challenging Lance. We are both down to our last Pokemon Typhlosion vs. Aerodactyl. Used 3 smokescreens and Flame Wheel twice before he can land the first Rock Slide-but he was burned by the second Flame Wheel. Two more smokescreens and a Flame Wheel after breaking the speed tie allows me to defeat Aerodactyl and complete the league!

  82. So today’s been… half and half.

    The good that came out of today was finding out that I got a 98 in one of the tests of my lower classes (super happy about that) and it brought that class grade up a little bit higher. I also didn’t have really any homework (luckily) for tonight, so there’s that too.

    But… there’s been some bad stuff today too. I found out after school that my mom, who was at Vegas for the past weekend, was sitting at the hospital for the entire day because a couple of her clients have been shot at the concert shooting last night. She’s been through a lot today, and I’m extremely concerned for her. Since I’m seeing her tomorrow, I’m going to try to spend as much time with her as possible. I’ve been worried for most this afternoon, so that’s why I haven’t commented much today.

    I don’t often share my personal life too often here, but I felt like this is something I wanted to say.

  84. Man this Snorlax hunt is already taking a thousand times longer than the Ho-oh hunt. I REALLY got lucky with Ho-oh. Full odds shiny H-oh with barely any resets (well comparatively lol) and now I’ve been spoiled. Now I’m in the trenches to get this Snorlax

          • Star… why would I win games if it was all luck based? There is some skill required
            Yes, luck determines a lot, but ask literally anyone who plays the game competitively. It requires some skill, trust me on that
            And besides, saying it requires zero skill is insulting to literally anyone who plays the game competitively who doesn’t suck literal ass

          Half of it is based on luck. Will you get a crit, will it miss, will you get frozen, well you hit yourself from confusion, will you get out of confusion, will you wake up, will the secondary effect activate

          So many factors that will determine if your Pokémon lives or not, there is very little room for skill. Very little you can honestly improve at

          • But it’s not entirely luck though, admittedly the system has one HUGE flaw, but it still requires skill

          • Look at the bigger picture.
            Yes luck does play a major role in battles and can decide the outcome buts it’s NOT the be all end all.

            – Crits are not as game changing in this gen due to damage change
            – missing moves us a risk and reward and ultimately choice of trainer will he go for the risky but more powerful fire blast or guarantee of never missing flamethrower.

            As for skill:

            – necessary to build solid and effective teams that serve its purpose (e.g. if team is basedon Zard X it supports abd allows zard to flourish) and also make it through the devastating OU tier where there are several differentl playstyles and top tier threats one must consider when building a team if you want to be the best.

            – e.g. the various megas causing havoc like SD mega pinsir, medicham, CM mega lati, SD Mawile, Zard X or Y and much more
            – plus other threats like DD Zygarde, CM Reuni or Magearna, Alolan Marowak, Tapus esp specs lele and offensive bulu/koko
            – also prevalence of Z moves e.g. z move lando or koko

            – Not to mention several defensive cores

            So..you have to make a team that is able to make it through such a pressure centric tier where there are several ways to win AND lose.
            As for originality its possibleand many people use their skills and thinking to surprise their opponent e.g. running unorthodox sets e.g. offensive mons running toxic to break counters

            – in the battle its about predicting, playing to ur teams strength and making a pathway to win a match in a certain way e.g. you feel ur Charizard C can win if your opponents scarfed Gatchomp is out so ur opponent knows that and is protectin the chomp and ur job is to find a way around so you can win.
            Requires a lot of thinking and strategy.
            Also skill and experience helps you to mature in ur approach e.g you cant always be aggressive making doubles but you cant be passive and predictable.

            So in summary Skill is a must.

          • TBH RU is the only remotely balanced tier at the moment
            Every other tier has something in it that’s stupid that determines entire matches from turn one

          • I mean… OU is bland, Ubers is unbalanced, UU is a fucking mess in every sense of the word, NU has a few mons ie: Emboar Rotom and Barbaracle that dominate literally the entire tier
            And PU just has a few mons that destroy the whole tier simply because they lack counters

        • Obligatory events was honestly one of the ducky parts about high school. I am pretty sure you know what methods you would need to take in order to compensate for missing one of these necessary classes-asking others for notes or whatever applies in that scenario. These events are much less frequent in college-except for freshman orientation.

    Well, I had 2 theories on her, one from the same gen and a reference to the past one.
    Theory 1- OR/AS Demise, a murder mystery…
    Look carefully at what she says in the pic above…

    Theory 2- Unova She falls, Under one Strange Roof…
    Remember how i just said in theory 1 the Royal Unova wasn’t built yet? Doesn’t mean Unova didn’t exist, in fact, Unova’s war also proves that it is pretty old and divided from Kalos.(Remember the founding of the US from Great Britain?) Maybe this hex girl simply haunted a new building as a reminder to the actual player, not the IG Avatar, that she is keeping an eye on them from Gen to Gen… in different ways and forms.     Yep, the Strange house From Black and White 2… She seems to be like the same concept in Unova as in Kalos, a floating, inanimate, teleporting character sprite. (I’m certain the game creators made no mistake, perhaps a nod to her?)

    – Easily one of the best HP films
    – Its Azkaban taken to the next level
    – Very very dark theme and much more serious/mature than prev films but still has moments of light humour
    – Many deaths owes to the serious nature of film
    – Acting was great I liked Dumbledore here he was very serious at times, trio has grown up!
    – Loved how there were such a variety of characters old and new e.g Mad eye, Cedric, Death eaters, Ministry of magic and the 2 schools etc
    – Triwizard tournament was amazing, just so thrilling and a cinematic master piece
    – Plot was very good a lot of maturity, so much was happening in this film it was jam packed
    – Voldemort returns need I say moarrr!

    Next up is the order!!

    • Harry and Rons’ long hair looked stupid to me. Other than that I love the film. It is one of my favourites as is the book (which has time to delve deeper into stuff and more dragons). Oh I also don’t like the Krum Hermione relationship,but mostly because I had a crush on her since the first book I read.

          • There are things I found hard to visualise early on before the first film released, largely due to my age when reading the early books, like Hagrid whom I had an odd image of before seeing it, but now the movie version completed him for me and now that is the one that resides in my imagination as I read it. It’s nice that things can go both ways like that .

          • Yeah that’s a good point picturing them from the films really helps too. I guess that can be said for Hogwarts as well!

          • Yeah the locations, especially places like Gringotts are well adapted to film. There are alot of places that are book only too like secret passages that I do kind of miss in the films tbh.

          • My main worries are: It might feel a bit drawn out by number 5, really depends where they go with them; Jude Law as Dumbledore, we’ve had 2 excellent actors play him quite differently, as he’s one of my favourite characters I hope he is once again done justice on screen; Johnny Depp as Grindelwald, he’s only really been good as Jack Sparrow in recent years imo. Also I really liked Collin Farrell in the role.

          • I think Depp is gonna be perfect for Grindelwald just by lpoking at the end of the last film that evil grin he had.
            Well JK said shes planned it out and I guess we can trust her and the support of WB guys.
            I have hopes for them!

          • Not saying I wouldn’t be interested in seeing new stories, but I don’t think they need to be Fantastic Beasts related. I’m actually surprised that she’s taking an active role in the newer movies. She seemed to want to get a way from HP a little now that the core story is done. I recall hearing her say that she almost didn’t want to do the stage play as she was done with the characters more or less.

          • She said something that it was never going to be one movie but she expects 5. I guess she cant stay away but at the same time if there wasnt potential she either would not get involved or not give the green light to Warner brothers.
            Dont forget this builds up the greatest battle in history so we need sequels!

    • It’s a pretty good adaptation of a very long book. BUT BUT BUT in my honest opinion, they really screwed themselves for skipping out on Dobby’s role! Dobby has a good role in books 4, 5, and 6 and then when it came time to adapting book 7 they were like, “Well, we definitely can’t avoid Dobby any longer. Guess we’ll have to reintroduce him 5 movies later.” And they did a good enough job with that, but it really wasn’t necessary because he should’ve been around already. That and he should not have been wearing those slavery rags in 7 pt. 1. Ugh that bugs the crap out of me.

        • Yes I love the book series! My favorite ever. He’s pretty important in the books, they just replaced his role with other characters (Neville usually)

          Spoilers from the books if you care:
          He actually steals the gillyweed for Harry. He also discovers the Room of Requirement for Harry and then warns Harry that they were ratted out. He also told Harry that Malfoy was using the Room of Requirement in Half Blood Prince. And then he has his bigger role in Deathly Hallows where he saves Harry & co.

      • They mostly left out Dobby subplots and S.P.E.W due to time constraints and flow which is very different in a movie than a book. It is a shame as Dobbys’ end was much more impactful in the books imo. I agree with the rags bit, I assume they did it partly to help casual audiences remember this character that hasn’t been around for 4 movies.

  137. Harry Potter will forever be the Pizza of movies for me. It’s not that I need to watch it crazy often, but if someone offers it to me there’s absolutely no reason for me to turn it down. It scratches this little itch I have for magic and mystery. I’m not crazy into medieval/whatever kind of stories as I’m way more interested in futuristic things, but the idea of magic has always intrigued me. I love the idea of abnormal things existing in the regular world. Which is one of the reasons I love Fantastic Beasts. If the HP series continues as we’ve seen I’d love to see more interactions between muggles and those in the magical community. I’d like to see characters that are muggles harness magic in limited forms themselves. Like they wouldn’t be able to create magic themselves, but using charmed items to do various tasks would be cool. Anyway the idea of magic in the normal world is a cool thing. It’s that kind of thing that really makes me love the Persona series. It’s weird and out there concepts happening to (relatively) average people.

    • The muggles you speak of would be Squibs, we’ve only had 2 so far iirc in the films, Filch and Mrs.Figg. I agree with you on watching the movies, though if I’m watching 1 I kinda want to watch the rest.

        • The main problem is they need to uphold secrecy where they can otherwise muggles might turn on them and more bad wizards would rise, which is tough to do if you have muggles using magical items. Kowalsky happened to be a nice guy, I guess certain verified Muggles allowed some magical items could be OK, as long as it’s nothing dangerous and they can keep the secret.

          • True, but I think it’d be interesting to see the secret get out. There’s this constant fear that Muggles would freak out, but by the time the core HP story ends maybe people at large would be more accepting. It’s hard to say, but it’s an interesting concept I feel will never be dug further into…..

          • Given the way people react to those whom they deem ‘different’ now I’m not sure it’d go well. Muggles would likely fear and lash at at these people that are significantly more powerful than them. Magic was not always hidden.
