Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, the latest Pokémon games in the franchise’s main series, are set to appear on the Japanese morning show Oha Suta. According to the episode description it will be a “world premiere” of new gameplay footage not previously seen.

As requested: An evaluation on design.
You need to focus perhaps on designs or patterns on the bugs a bit more, maybe little lightning style stripes in a zig zag fashion would suit the final stage, while the first two can have slanted lines. The eyes are a good start, but you might want a sharper glow on your third stage, if you make them like flashlights, they might stand out more as the light goes outwards from the design. The bugs themselves are a bit too simple in the first two stages, perhaps in the first add a small indication of a lightning rod or Antenna like the third one has, bigger on the second, and firmer looking (cuz the second is a cocoon, right?) for the cocoon, why not have an electrical silk that it dangles by, kinda like burmy, it would sure help is stand out a bit more, maybe change the angle from profile to 3/4 front to help the design stand out a bit. As for the poses, you could stand to make them a bit more dynamic that profile, think of them from more angle than one perhaps once you get the design down pat.
Here’s what you did well on:
The final leg design looks good and sparks the idea of electric for sure, you got the eye color thing working in a good combo, just needs a bit more refinement and you’re set. you have structure here and that’s always a plus for artists, you clearly get the progression of the species, and that’s very helpful when trying to convey growth through evolution.
My takeaway score: 6.5/10
You did a nice job to start, it’s supportive enough to hold some ground, but you need to focus on patterns and poses, profiles are nice and all, but i think if you try other angles, you might like it yourself more, if not now, in the next work~ Each design has a similar focus, but it’s ok to make each a little unique too, study similar species and learn from real techniques bugs can do, you might be amazed how much nature really inspires Pokemon.

I’m interested to see what they have to show. Oha Suta has revealed stuff before so it’s not crazy out there to believe they could this time too. If it was something crazy small then I feel like they wouldn’t bother advertising it the way they have. During the BW prerelease days they revealed multiple brand new Pokemon and did so without much advanced advertising so they could show something cool this time too. I’m not expecting a new Pokemon, but if they were gonna show off something brand new I’d place my bets on new Alolan forms. It’ll be incredibly weird if gen 7 only ever had 18 Alolan forms in total and all of them were released in the first set of games. I could see them showing a battle with some new forms and then not much else.

Oranguru
Ninetales (Alola Form)
Araquanid or Drampa
Sun:
Incineroar
Toucannon
Lycanroc (Midday)
Dhelmise
Wishiwashi or Vaporeon
Pick Araquanid, its bubble head ability makes it really useful and you don’t get Drampa until late game
True. What about the Sun one? Wishiwashi or Vaporeon?
Wishiwashi has a better moveset overall, but I always recommend to go for the one you haven’t used before

I was very impressed by Google’s event today. The Home Mini for $50 is a fantastic idea, and the Home Max for $400 (which I’ll likely want to get and eventually get) looks slick. The Pixelbook also caught my attention since I’m in the market for a laptop, but I don’t think I’d ever get a Pixel phone. Who knows. Anyways, Tech with the Bird signing off.
