Magikarp Jump iOS Release + Sun & Moon Update

After being shrouded in mystery for months, Magikarp Jump is beginning to roll out to countries in the iOS App Store!

Currently only available for a soft launch in the Italian App Store, Magikarp Jump has you play as the titular, weak Magikarp as you face off against other ‘Karp in jumping contests. There’s also a pet simulator aspect to the game where you’re able to collect, feed, train, and grow your Magikarp collection; housing them in a customizable aquarium where other famous and rare Pokémon will help you out along your journey. No word yet on when this mobile game will be released to the Japan, US, UK or other App Stores.

In main game news, Pokémon Sun & Moon version 1.2 is now available for download in the eShop! This 296 block update fixes multiple glitches within the game:

  • Fixes Sky Drop glitch where Pokémon active would remain active despite being knocked out
  • Fixes an issue where Scatterbug wouldn’t remember Egg Moves properly
  • Fixes a problem that allowed Poké Pelago to be manipulated with the 3DS calendar
  • Fixes a glitch where Eggs could be given items and it
  • Resolves a glitch where the game would crash if an Evolution Item was the last item in your bag and was used

As usual, these patches are required to go online in game and to participate in and at official events.

  1. Thoughts on the direct: ARMS looks fun but a little bare bones. But then again, that was said about Splatoon before it got its updates, so who knows. I’m just glad they’re doing a testfire thing, I can’t wait for that. Splatoon 2’s story mode just looks like Splatoon’s on steroids, and that’s a good thing.

  2. I could not have cringed harder when they said Kid Cobra was trying to promote his “radical livestreams”. Ouch. Besides that, I got a good laugh out of Byte & Barq and I think Twintelle’s hair gimmick is pretty cool. Also, FREE NEW FIGHTERS AND DLC! Also also, Splatoon 2 will be amazing, no doubt about it.

  3. Yep I believe it. Years ending with 7 are the best years for gaming. This year is going to be incredible. BotW could’ve been the only game this year and it would be true but like… THERE ARE SO MANY GREAT GAMES

  4. This is what is so genius about the Switch. Nintendo is already treating the system as if it’s been out for 2-3 years and are organizing their first-party games as if they already knew what would work. Splatoon 2 bundle with attractive Joy-Con colors 4 months after the system releases? It’s just crazy. Imagine what it will actually be like in 2020…

  5. I can see it now. Animal Crossing, releasing April 2018 for the Nintendo Switch alongside Animal Crossing White Edition Joy-Cons (like that 3DS design with the little colorful houses), a White Pro Controller, and new Animal Crossing amiibo. This is Animal Crossing’s year, I can feel it. Otherwise, end my suffering…

I’m deleting an old copy of Black that has every pokeball and i’m offering the service to catch anything in the Unova region (that is found wild) in your choice of Pokeball
