The Kalos region is the most mysterious region by far, and the fact that they’re just leaving it at that is insane to me. So many questions, so little answers.
Almost everything is Kalos served no purpose. Aquarium, bike path, spooky house, power plants, docks, giant windmill, couriway train, sundial thing, pokemon friend place (mewtwo was randomly there), castle near daycare, parfume palace mostly…kalos was a barren wasteland
And there’s like so much that we still don’t know about Kalos, like the train, more about the war, etc.
Heck, we don’t even know where Yveltal and Xerneas were sleeping. Team Flare found them, but where? It’s just a region full of unfinished business… =/
And in Anistar, and NPC mentions people came by asking about the legendary Pokémon a few years before Team Flare did. Who are these people? Ugh.
IKR?! Like Xerneas and Yveltal had so little backstory and importance, it was just like: “Oh hey we found this tree/cocoon somewhere and your forced to catch it,” I gotta say, while good for them for tackling Life and Death, they had so much potential to make them great legendaries, yet they were some of the worst ones in my opinion
Hardly any plot, Kalos feels more like a place-holder for Sun and Moon than anything else. While GF has strayed away from 3rd versions, XY really could’ve used one.
It should have, hopefully SM fills it in for XY’s lack of stuff

Possibly, but even if it isn’t confirmed I will still have faith!
S/M developers had some interviews, here are some important points:
– Hawaii was picked because of vacations and that they wanted a place that represents the S/M.
– Kanto Pokemon were picked only as Alolan Pokemon due to the 20th anniversary.
– Previous characters from other games will make an appearance.
– No soaring from OR/AS.
– The next game is seems to still be in planning.
– 3D only for cutscenses because GameFreak wanted to have more detailed models and environment, so they restricted the use.
– No Mega Evolution during the main story. It will be post game as it will focus on Z-Rings and Crystals for the main game.
– Battles will take place in actual environments.
– They’re not running out on designs and they want to balance types.
No soaring….? So the flying pokeride will literally just be fly??! T-T

not gunna lie I’m sorta upset that they didn’t at least finish mega flygon. they wanted it in ORAS but couldn’t come up with a solid design, and decided “F*ck it” and scrapped the idea.
While new Megas likely are not going to be in Sun and Moon, I don’t think new Megas won’t ever happen again. I can definitely see them being used to help market remakes similar to ORAS. It lets them introduce new Pokémon in a remake. Mega Flygon will still happen one day, believe ;~;

Ok sorry for what looks like spam, but I swear last comment about GX’s video: GF focused on kanto for alola forms because they wanted to give something special to their 20 year long fans. Nothing against people who have been playing for 20 years, but every single person I’ve ever met who has started with gen 1 has been a genwunner. Sure, for the twentieth anniversary, let’s cater to our special fans who won’t even appriaciate these forms and disregard them for being “new”.

Look, I understand it here, it’s the twentieth anniversary, and this was the roots of pokemon. But look at a larger scale, they get special treatment whether it’s a big anniversary or not.
I started with Red, but think Kanto is a super bland region. So boring. I like a good amount of the pokemon, but the pandering is getting so old. Sinnoh and Unova are the best regions, imo.

I like hoenn as a region. and black 2’s unova was much beter than the originals, because the pokemon diversity was perfect. hoping alola will be better than all but we cant say for sure until the games come out.

The little two spacy Pokemon are seem to come after each other in some Pokedex pictures and I only see them coming before Solgaleo and Lunaana in one Pokedex picture. Which one is correct?
Tese little 2 actually come before Solgaleo and Lunaana I didn’t know y ppl think they r pre-evolution but for sure they r related by some, maybe core or supporter.

Horsea isn’t in the dex leaks, despite being on a statue and it’s evos being seen in many trailers. They wouldn’t make a statue of a non native pokemon.

Think about it for a second. Say a kid who’s new to pokemon just bought the game, and they found the horsea statue, and they absolutely fell in love with the pokemon. They’d want to find it so bad, but it’d be likely transfer only. Once again, nothing definite, just small loose connections that pile up.

Sorry to burst your bubble slightly, but in the Golurk statue in Parfum Palace, one of the mons there is Palpitoad, and I don’t think Palpitoad is obtainable in the wild in XY. Plus Reshiram and Zekrom aren’t available in XY and they are statues too

i luv them all too!!! however, I decided to go with the siren because its a cool concept and there’s a chance it could be the first fairy starter and its shiny has blond hair!!
I’m more leaning on Rowlet so far, but I usually base fav starters by how I feel after using them and whatnot, so I won’t have a definite answer until I play the games
(Despite my icon having a Litten hat, still love the line, but Litten 3 is the weakest at this point for me, doesn’t mean I hate it though)
I luv its design and how it looks like it just came out of assassin’s creed and how its literally the only flying type pokemon in gen 7 that looks cool. why isnt there any other cool looking flying type pokemon? :/

I believe shofu isn’t really into feminine design, he’s more in it for the bulky, masculine pokemon. However Kingnappy is choosing popplio, I think lol

Yeah it is, and I’ll probably end up buying it, but Complete Zygarde is my favorite legendary 😀
