  21. Just something I wanted to say about the leaked dex, so I’ll put a spoiler bar:

    It’s just interesting about Marshadow. There’s 2 possibilities at the moment that I see.
    1) Marshadow is just a mythical Pokémon and Solgaleo/Lunala are the first mascot legends since Gen 2 to not have a trio master, making yet ANOTHER parallel to Gen 2, coincidence or not lol….or
    2) What we are seeing is just a base form/pre-evolution of Marshadow similar to the base form/pre-evolution of Solgaleo and Lunala, and Marshadow still has a big ole secret.
    However, I see possibility 1 as being more likely, and just building off that for a moment, maybe Solgaleo/Lunala do actually have a trio master…maybe Zygarde IS the trio master of both Xerneas/Yveltal and Solgaleo/Lunala…certainly plausible given its chest lights.

          • Watch GF release the next trailer on the 27th, and it reveals a Pokémon that WASNT in the data dump, and this was all planned out from the start.
            Then we’ll have to sit back, and watch the Internet lose its collective mind. xD

          • Can you state your reasoning for that belief? (Not to dismiss it or anything, I just want to know, because it would be nice if there was more tbh).

          • Yeah, these are just off the top of my head:
            1. Gamexplain said they found more than 1 new pokemon in the first two hours, and none of the leaked pokemon look early game, plus most were evolutions. It’s a stretch, but there’s something there.
            2. The mysterious 6 can’t be totems, firstly we know of 7 trial captains, so there has to be more than 6 totems, plus these are pokedex stills.
            3. We never got the strange souvenir/mahalo trail statue pokemon

          • Another loose connection: if the tapu was the supposed dolphin and crabralwer was the snowman, why didn’t the leaker specify that? The connections to dolphin/snowman of those pokemon are very loose.

          • 1) 3 possibilities for new Pokémon they encountered could be Pikipek’s first evolution, Alola Grimer, and Alola Diglett.
            2) If I’m looking at this correctly, there is a “?” after the following Pokémon: Alola Raticate, Gumshoos, Vikavolt, Lurantis, Salandit’s evolution, and Kommo-o. Additionally, Mimikyu has 2 “?’s” after it as does Zygarde. Seeing as the “?’s” come after 3 already confirmed Totem Pokémon, it’s a reasonable assumption that these are the Totem models, which could also count as a form seen in the Pokédex. And counting the version exclusives as 1, I see 7 Totems. There are probably 2 “?s” after Mimikyu to account for both its forms, and 2 “?s” after Zygarde to account for its in-battle transformation.
            3) I believe the Strange Souvenir is the Fire/Fairy Tapu. Remember it is representative of the Tapu with its mask closed, and that one seems like it will match up once we see it closed.
            4) The translation from the leaker was interpreted as snowman, however it could also be interpreted as yeti. And seeing Crabrawler’s evolution, it was a mistranslation.

          • Regarding the other two points about the statue and the dolphin. The statue was only speculated to be a Pokémon, and the dolphin quite possibly is the Ghost/Fairy Tapu.

          • I know the dolphin is the tapu, but honestly, if I was a leaker, I would never call Crab2 and Tapu Poni a snowman (even a yeti) or a dolphin.
            These leaks didn’t come from the riddler, but I don’t know the thought process of the leaker, it seems a stretch have to have MULTIPLE leaks call them a dolphin and snowman, and we get these which barely resemble them.

          • Honestly I can see the yeti, but the dolphin I will agree is a stretch. Unless it really is a quite convincing dolphin when its mask is closed xD

          • I just realized about Zygarde, the “?” could be for the Core and Cell. In which case yes, there are only 6 Totems which doesn’t add up.

          • Like I said, it’s all very loose, but so are the things to debunk it. :~:
            There’s some more I forget, if I remeber I’ll let you know. Regardless I still believe there’s more.

            Ok seriously though would’nt it be cool if the developers intended for this to get leaked? It’s super unlikely but it’d be a fun twist. The only evidence though is if the totems and other models got scrubbed why didn’t the unused pokemon get scrubbed as well? Just something to make you think.

            The unused Pokémon could’ve gotten scrubbed due to plot relevance. Which tbh, I’m thankful basically nothing about the plot was leaked. I am also thankful for the dex leak, be it complete or not, because I now know what my team will be xD

          • I’ll try to remember some more.
            But seriously, there’s absolutely no reason they would scrub text, character models, stats, everything, except leave even the unused pokemon unscrubbed. Plus in retrospect the leaks didn’t reveal THAT much, it was stuff that could’ve been covered in 2-3 trailers, so nothing mindblowing.

            Intentional or not, the datamine has definitely given them publicity, I heard it was trending #1 on twitter and facebook.

          • I’ll take the same stance that I do with the majority of legitimate leaks. Things like this that can be seen as blunders, often times can be intentional. It gets people talking and speculating and generates more excitement.

          • They are most likely Totems. However Zygardes is the core and cell, though a totem boss would have been cool. And theres probably more than 7 trials, and not all are totem battles, however the 7th would probably be the Wishiwashi boss battle which isn’t a totem battle due to it’s power and ability.
