    • Thermal Ball: works best on Fire and Ice types (clear light blue with red stripes)
Titan Ball: Works best Pokemon with very high stats (A metal ball with bolts and bright yellow stripes)
(Just for gags) Return Ball: Gives two chances to catch a Pokemon: a wood tan color with white dots and red lines

    • Legend Ball – for catching Dragons, Fairies, and Ghosts
Air Ball – for lightweight Pokemon
Shine Ball – for shiny Pokemon, adds more sparkles when the Pokemon is sent out

    • Eerie Ball – works best on ghost, dark and fairies, it would be a dark purple in colour with a light blue wisp on it.

Coral Ball – Works well on water types but works at its best on the ocean floor (aka dive) its a mauve and pink coloured ball with hints of teal and light blue in a kind of patchwork of the colours.

Chime Ball- Its actually shapped like a bell and has the appearance of one and works best on sound based pokemon (aka chimecho, chatot, whishmer, noibat, etc)

      🙂

    • Draco ball- Best at catching Dragon and Fire types but harder to catch fairies (color: Red and dark purple color with a Black Dragon in the center)

Element ball- it makes it easier to catch Pokemon of Gound, Fire, Water, Flying types (looks like a mix of White, Brown, red, and blue on top

Copy ball- What ever Pokemon that is battling that type will be easier to catch. (Has multicolored dots all around and is black on top)

  3. I just realized with gems in Pokemon they skip a month each one and only use birthstones look

    April- Diamond
    Emerald- May
    June- Pearl
    July- Ruby
    —-Not Used—-
    September- Sapphire

So if we think if more Gemstone games happen it might be any of these Garnet, Topaz, Tanazite, Amethyst, Opal, or Aquamarine together!

  4. Does anyone remember the PJ League? We had gym leaders, and elite four, and a champion (I’m actually not sure if we ever decided on a champion).

  5. Ok, so I know I’m not a real authority figure around here, but it seems we have plenty of intrest in starting up the PJ League once again. If no one minds, I’d like to take it upon myself to reorganize the league for us. First, I need to know that there is enough intrest. I’d rather not work to organize this, have people make teams, and then have no one challenging the league (That happened to me the first time, I made a team and never got challegened once.) The first question I have is this: if we start up a league, should we organize types and such and wait till gen 7 (I’m leaning toward this one) or start now? Also, if you have any ideas, please don’t hesitate to share them.

Secondly, part of the issue with the league is not having any challengers. If we organize 13 people in positions, there would hardly be any challengers. So I’m not sure on how many positions there should be, throw out any ideas you might have. Lastly, I don’t know how we should decide who gets what positions. Last time we did it, it was a first come first serve thing, which caused problems, so we definitely shouldn’t do that. I think the people who are still around here from last time should keep their jobs if they want to. Tell me your thoughts, questions, and problems you might have. Again, this won’t go anywhere without interest, so if you are interested, please let me know somehow. Thanks! 🙂

    • I love the idea, and I’d love to participate this time around; whether I’m a leader or a challenger, I think it’d be fun. And like I said below, I think a tournament could be held where the highest ranking competitors will be offered the role of gym leader. If they decline, it will go to the next in line. But whatever ends up happening, I offer my support, and I’ll help out in any way I can!

    • Sounds cool! I’m not really a competitive player, but I can become one! I’ll do some research. I’d love to be a Dragon Gym Leader like my favorite one Drayden and use Pokés like Haxorus and Dragalge <3

      • The best way to learn is to play on pokemon showdown. It really helps give you a sense of what competitive battling is like. Also, thanks for the support!

      • At least here, maybe at the forums too. I don’t really use the forums often, but if you want me to I can make a post about this on the forums? It might not work well though, like what if someone from here never used the forums, so they couldn’t battle one of the leaders? I don’t know, but we could figure something out.

        • I don’t think thats a good idea, we’re already not even supposed to be talking on the disqus just commenting, so I feel like it would probably anger the PJ staff

          • I mean, thats true, but the forums is barely even active from what I’ve seen. Many people from here don’t use the forums. I’d rather run the risk of angering the staff and hosting the league from here. (staff don’t hurt me . . . )

          • Sorry if this is mean, but personally I don’t get it. I’m no site runner, but I’d love to have an active community. Also they havent been that strict lately, and we’ve done it once before, so idk.

          • Well its not them being mean, its the fact that if an article gets too many comments we will physically crash the site, its happened many times, I think thats why they started doing random articles every few days because they know people don’t listen to them and treat the site like a doormat for their convos, and yes I’m guilty of doing it too, but I did use the chat like it was intended before they changed it and now I don’t know what to do or how to use it. I have been thinking about going to the forums lately though more and more because I just feel so bad like every time I comment on something not about the article here

          • I don’t like the chat. I like to be able the see the old comments in an organized way, and respond to individual comments. The forums lets me do that, but I have to wait a long time for a response, because from what I’ve experieced, there aren’t as many dedicated members to the forums as there are members of disqus.

          • I mean, id rather wait a long time to get a response then crash the site lol, but maybe thats just me

          • Believe me, we are far from crashing the site. I remeber back in the days leading up to XY, having 3000-5000 comments was a norm on articles. We got up to 10,000 once but then it crashing lol.

          • id still rather not risk it, or risk angering the staff, I mean, I want them to feel at the very least respected, but it is what it is, its your tournament do what you want

          • I get where you’re coming from, and I made a post on the forums. The real issue here is that many people don’t use the forums, and I don’t want this idea to die again.

          • You could request an article to be made directing people to the forum post. I’m sure someone would be happy to oblige since you’re doing so much to plan it.

          • That’d be almost too much to ask. What I’d love is for my comment to be featured, or my forum post to be the featured article. I really want to get the word out.

          • It seems like people think that is the best idea, so I guess we should do that. But we should make it clear that most of the league is over there, so people know to make an account.

    • I think that we should get the tourney over with and give leaders time to get their teams ready. By the time gen 7 comes around, leaders can have most of their pokemon ready and can prepare any gen 7 pokemon the want to use.

      • Good idea, I think that’s the best way to do it. But before the tournament, I need to have time to spread the idea, so everyone has a chance.
