Not only the Poké Riding, but at least with the leaked Starter Evolutions we can clearly see one of the Trial Captains in the art, and the final evolution of Litten is probably holding two of its middle evolutions.

How come Pokejungle didn’t post the facts about the S.S. Anne and several older characters returning as well as time working differently in each version (the latter of which I fear the most. Main thing I don’t like: the supposed final forms leak. Really hoping that’s not true, because the final Popplio form looks WAY too feminine, though I like the other two. But hey, I got used to my male Sylveon, (whom I named Gutmuncher, cuz he needed a tough name looking like that) so if Popplio (my current starter choice) turns into that Siren-sea lion thing, I may end up liking it. Well yeah I’m sure it’s either gender differences or just different forms of some sort. Either way they’d be the same pokemon, so they wouldn’t need another dex entry. Perhaps what island you evolve them on has something to do with what final form it takes.
The starters can’t have a split evolution. I remember seeing someone go through the beginning of the pokedex on one video, and the starters only had 2 spaces after them.

I’ve always assumed it’s because of the composition of dirt containing metallic compounds like calcium carbonate or oxidized iron. At the atomic level, there is an abundance of metals that are found in compounds in dirt. That’s my logistics.

Well it could be Electric, Fire, Ghost and Psychic like the Oricorio types. Plus this would match up with the 4 symbols on the badge/award thing (Yellow, Red, Purple, Pink), that hangs off the trainers bag.

Not entirely true as of yet as to whether it’s fire/water/elec/grass or if it’s based off of the Oricorio typings: Fire/elec/ghost/psychic (which matches with the medal/charm colours)
Fire/Electric/Ghost/Psychic seem to fit better with the 4 Hawaiian deities (Kanaloe, Kane, Ku and Lono) which is pretty much what we’re guessing the island guardians are based off. Bird Keeper Toby on Youtube made a theory with those exact types a few weeks back.

I don’t understand which ones are going to be Fire and Psychic there. Maybe Kanaloe can be ghost as it can be associated with death by people from other cultures who happen to like to butcher other cultures. I personally think Water for god of oceans (Kanaloe) and Grass for god of agriculture (Lono) fits better but there can be anything anyways.
Kane is fire as he’s the guardian of light.
Lono is psychic as he’s associated with Knowledge and learning.
Kanaloe is the god of the underworld so of cause ghost.
Also the island names Melemele and Akala mean yellow and pink which are the associated colors of the islands they are based off of. Plus Yellow/Electric Pink/Psychic. The other two islands are associated with Red and Purple in the real world, leading them to probably be called Ula’ula and Poni. Also Red/Fire Purple/Ghost.

I’m pretty sure that the starter evos are confirmed now, simply because of the fact that Mallow, who was just revealed yesterday, appears in said leak which has been around for what… 1? 2 months now?

If the starters really do have another form, how would it be? I’m assuming it has to do with the “secret” that they hold. I think these are the only evolutions, but if there were other evos; I think it might be dependent on day and night or gender. I do believe it might be dependent on day and night more than anything. These evolutions could be the night evolutions of the starters. The day evolutions could be Grass/Ground, Fire, and Water/Fighting. Honestly, I don’t think another form is happening. These starters seem like the only one.

The idea of adaptation itself is good, however I feel like they stretch things a bit to have a “WOW” factor, like going for complete opposites. I also feel in this hot sexy region, adaptation on a snowy mountain that even feels like does not belong there is a little stretching things too.

Well, nine tales and vulpix are foxes, and foxes can also live in snowy regions such as the arctic fox so this makes sense.
The sandslash and sandshrew line makes me wonder a bit, but they are more or less porcupines. And porcupines also can live in colder regions….
Assuming they’re actually shrews, the arctic shrew does exist as well.

That’s the point I made too. I like the idea of old Pokemon having different forms in an Alolan environment but why on earth would a ground type and fire type take on a winter form in a TROPICAL region?
I can sort of understand Sandshrew/Sandslash changing in an icy environment, but (though I like them) Vulpix/Ninetales becoming Ice is a bit weird. If anything surely it makes more sense for them to remain Fire? Maybe they could also gain Ice in addition to Fire?
Growlithe supposedly getting Water typing is also a bit weird. I have hope there will be some other interesting ones, but we’ll see…

Perspective and comprehension are key. I am not one to simply validate rumors as true, even if the claims possess a few truths here and there. However, the rumors never said anything about trials and kahunas. It simply said the gym leader system has been abolished, meaning there’s something other than gym leaders. The information we received yesterday proved that by showcasing the four Trial Captains and one of the four Kahunas. They may have been created in the same vein as gym leaders, but simple comprehension skills would tell you they’re not the same.
Uh. We don’t have Gyms any longer. The Trails, Totem Pokemon, and Kahuna replaced Gyms.
So if there is a Z crystal for each pokemon type….what type does this orange one correspond to? Fighting? Ground?
