With the latest Pokémon Sun & Moon information, we can now say that the rumors seem to be true. Not only the Poké Riding, but at least with the leaked Starter Evolutions we can clearly see one of the Trial Captains in the art, and the final evolution of Litten is probably holding two of its middle evolutions.

4chan Rumor

For now these are going to be de-confirmed since a number of Pokémon listed appear not to be getting an Alolan form

  • The anime’s Ash-Greninja will appear in the game
  • Alolan Rattata & Raticate are Dark-type
  • Alolan Butterfree is Bug/Psychic
  • Alolan Abra, Kadabra & Alakazam are Fighting-type
  • Alolan Nidoking & Nidoqueen are Poison/Fighting-type
  • Alolan Growlithe & Arcanine are Water-type
  • Alolan Doduo & Dodrio are Fighting/Flying-type
  • The previous versions of Pokémon which have taken on new forms will only be accessible by bringing in from older games
  • Furfrou gets new styles
  • New cat Pokémon varies in type and appearance based on breeding
  • There is a new snowman Pokémon line with two stages and it is Ice/Ghost
  • Not to get hopes up, but there may be two final evolutions for each starter

Chinese Rumor

  • There will be no traditional Gyms and no Pokémon League in Alola. Your goal is to actually create one. After you do, an Elite 4 will appear which are the leaders of each island
  • The final starter evolutions will be an Archer, a Wrestler and a Siren
  • The diamond stones will be collectible throughout the region and act similarly to Mega Stones but not exactly
  • New Pokémon based on a dolphin, sea cucumber, snowman, mushroom and a rugby monkey are there
  • Rockruff’s evolution is a Werewolf
  • Mashadow, another copyrighted Pokémon name, has a very unique type combo

How I think alohian Pokémon forms should work.is any Pokémon from VC r/b/g/y that gets transferred to sun and moon if it has a alohian form since it’s already being converted for gender,nature,stats,and ability should be put in its alohian form with its converted r/b/y/g stats .and then u can only get regular versions from x,y/OR&AS

  15. So from the toxic Pokemon community on the Official Channel, this pretty much sums up overall reactions in fandom communities other than here as a whole:

    Alola Forms: A lot of people like them
    Gym Leader Removal: Many people against
    Gumshoos: Donald Trump jokes
    Other new Pokemon: Ignored
    Z-Moves: Dragonball Z jokes and some people angry about them

  16. this is only based on what i read and from the trailer but what i get from the island challenge is that you have your four trial captains which will give you trials and possibly battle you (they gave them a typing so i believe in some point you would battle them). These trial captains are the replacement of gym leaders imo. totem pokemon are found at the end of each trial so they are basically road blocks. you would probably fight alot of them. When you finish your trial you battle the kahuna which is basically is the replacement of the elite four. Now, we still dont know if the kahunas will have unique teams or monotypes. I want to say unique teams but then if you dont battle the trial captains maybe their typings are the team the kahuna would have. Now my question is: Is there a champion at the end or you automatically become the champion when you beat the four kahunas

    • I think that kahunas+captians are the eight gymleaders replacement and that the elite 4 wil either be nonexistent or you must battle the 4 kahunas again consecutively with them having stronger teams and the champion will be another unrevealed character

  17. Do we really know if these are real? The gyms were the only thing they got right, correct? Including the already “leaked” starter images in your leak does not verify the whole thing. I could make something up, say something unheard of like no gyms or whatever, include the already leaked image and boom, I’m verified right? Or was there more that this leaker got correct. Not trying to sound cynical, and I know you wouldn’t post this if it was just a hunch or a whim, but I’m just trying not to get my hopes up for some of these amazing sounding pokemon if they turn out to be fake.

          • I know that. But the person who leaked the rest of the info did not reveal the picture with Mallow and the starters. The leaker just said the pic was real, which I could have said in my own “leak.” The no gyms thing is something they got right but like I said, it could be something they came up with.

  18. Chinese leaker said the objective of the game is to form a League of your own then the Elite Four appears. Didn’t mention anything about trials. But because it was a translation from Chinese, it’s possible it may have been mistranslated. So I’m not sure exactly how we are going go about this League forming they say.

  19. I hope that if we don’t get a league post game, we get to go back to Kalos. While I like the new trial system, I hope that we get something to do postgame, and one of these seems to be likely.

  24. While I think Megas will be reserved to postgame so as not to overshadow the new Z move mechanic, I do think we will get some new megas in the coming months. There’s over six news updates if they keep at this pace, and either that’s a lot of pokemon to reveal or they’re gonna overdo it on explaining and expanding on the features already revealed. How many more new features can we expect? We will probably get new alola forms in the near future but megas are on the horizon, I’m telling you now! 🙂

    • I doubt they would remove evil teams. Plus I think this whole gym leader thing is just exclusive to Alola. I’m sure in the future they’ll keep gyms.

      This is just something to showcase the traditional and cultural aspect of Alola and their lore.

    • I think they could maybe remove evil *teams*, but there still needs to be an Antagonist. The story needs to have a meaning.
