With the latest Pokémon Sun & Moon information, we can now say that the rumors seem to be true. Not only the Poké Riding, but at least with the leaked Starter Evolutions we can clearly see one of the Trial Captains in the art, and the final evolution of Litten is probably holding two of its middle evolutions.

4chan Rumor

For now these are going to be de-confirmed since a number of Pokémon listed appear not to be getting an Alolan form

  • The anime’s Ash-Greninja will appear in the game
  • Alolan Rattata & Raticate are Dark-type
  • Alolan Butterfree is Bug/Psychic
  • Alolan Abra, Kadabra & Alakazam are Fighting-type
  • Alolan Nidoking & Nidoqueen are Poison/Fighting-type
  • Alolan Growlithe & Arcanine are Water-type
  • Alolan Doduo & Dodrio are Fighting/Flying-type
  • The previous versions of Pokémon which have taken on new forms will only be accessible by bringing in from older games
  • Furfrou gets new styles
  • New cat Pokémon varies in type and appearance based on breeding
  • There is a new snowman Pokémon line with two stages and it is Ice/Ghost
  • Not to get hopes up, but there may be two final evolutions for each starter

Chinese Rumor

  • There will be no traditional Gyms and no Pokémon League in Alola. Your goal is to actually create one. After you do, an Elite 4 will appear which are the leaders of each island
  • The final starter evolutions will be an Archer, a Wrestler and a Siren
  • The diamond stones will be collectible throughout the region and act similarly to Mega Stones but not exactly
  • New Pokémon based on a dolphin, sea cucumber, snowman, mushroom and a rugby monkey are there
  • Rockruff’s evolution is a Werewolf
  • Mashadow, another copyrighted Pokémon name, has a very unique type combo

  1. i think that megas will be back but post-game (maybe prof sycamore comes and gives you the bracelet after you finist the story)

    • It’s already confirmed you have the bracelet from near the beginning. It also has the round indention on the rear side for a key stone, but of course it’s unusable until you’re given the stone.

      • true maybe sycamore just gonna give you your first stone. maybe they want you to use the new mechanic and when you finish the story you can use megas. just like BW didnt let you use old gen pokemon until postgame

  2. I think that after each trial and totem pokemon you will be challenged by the respective trial captian before being allowed to battle the kahuna, i mean what is the purpose of giving them type specialties if you aint battling them

  8. In case any of you, like me, were wondering what these Z-Moves were called in
    Japanese, I found them out:

    Gigavolt Havoc -> Sparking Giga Volt
    Bloom Doom -> Bloom Shine Extra
    Inferno Overdrive -> Dynamic Full Flame
    Hydro Vortex -> Super Aqua Tornado

    I personally think the English names are better, but the Japanese names aren’t bad when you shout them out in the same fashion as Giga… Doriiiiiru… BUREEEEEEKU!!

      • i remember when XY came out i was like “WHEW this going to change the metagame, smogon is shook, oh the best pokemon game ever. this new mechanics got everyone shaking on their booties” and now is like “XY?, I dont know her”

  11. I think the alolan forms is a way more creative and fun way to breath new life into older Pokemon than mega evolution. I loved some of hem but this seems more on par with the core franchise than mega evolution did.
    I do have to say that I’ll miss the gyms and I’m hoping we either return to Kalos and can challenge that league or once if we are creating a league in alola you can challenge it post game, which would be a really cool way to have a fun post game!

  13. There are 18 types in Pokémon. That means 18 Z-Moves available. We already have 4 Z-moves revealed. Gigavolt Havoc for Electric-types, Bloom Doom for Grass-types, Inferno Overdrive for Fire-types, and Hydro Vortex for Water-types. What would you Junglers name the Z-moves of the other types? My favorite types are Psychic and Dragon, so I’d call their respective Z-moves, um… Psydisaster and Draconian Wrath!

  15. It’s August, so now it’s time to seriously think about the Nintendo NX. It will either be revealed this month or next, no doubts about it. Less than an hour ago, this series of images showing what appears to be the system showed up on 4chan. They look very convincing, almost as if they were drawn by a professional design artist. The only thing the poster said is “>$399”. I know this isn’t Pokemon related, but please bear with me, as this could be an important find! I think this article shows how leaks should never be counted out immediately.

  18. I think they transformed Exeggutor because it is the 20th anniversary. I mean, its no coincidence that a pokedex entry describes it as having a huge neck, and an art of an exeggutor with a huge neck 20 years ago..

  20. Hopefully there would be 2 evolutions for each starter. Fire/fighting is just weird. If the leaks are true, and litten’s will indeed become fire/fighting, then poplio should probably be water/ice type. GF never had a pattern for their starters typings, but imo, Gen 6 typings were awesome. If rowlett keeps the grass/flying, litten is fire/fighting, and poplio is water/fairy, it would make litten’s final form look extremely week and useless compared to the other two, and idk if GF would do that again. The last time they did this was with empoleon, its typings was weak against both infernape and torterra. But the design for empoleon was very cool, the first water/steel thus far. However, litten could very well be fire/dark. That would very well be its secondary form.

    Idk, this would prob be the first pokemon game that I do not like any of the starters. Rowlett is the third grass starter to have 4x weakness to another type. and Litten is the fourth fire starter to have fire/fighting. There are still so many combinations for starters but idk why GF does not utilize them…
    1. grass/electric or grass/ground
    2. fire/poison (now given to salandit) or fire/steel
    3. water/fighting or water/normal or another water/steel

    I am excited for the new form, its refreshing. The z-moves are pretty awesome. I hope that mega evolution will return with at least 5 pokemons or so. Hoping that arcanine can get a mega or a better typing combination in its new form instead of just water.

  21. I’ve been pretty up to date on the Chinese leak. But I don’t remember reading about the starters having two evo’s or post game Kalos. Anyone have a link?
